The Pokemon Anime Had A Super Dark Finale In Mind Once

It is always difficult saying goodbye to something you love, but fans of the Pokemon anime haven’t had to do that just yet. After more than 1,000 episodes, the show is thriving thanks to its most recent series Pokemon Journeys. But back in the day, the original writer behind the Pokemon anime was not sure if the show would survive so Takeshi Shudo formed an idea. He came up with a finale that could end Pokemon for good, and thanks to Dr. Lava, new translations of Shudo’s blog are letting fans in on his radical idea.

“I would have used the story that I had planned for the final anime episode. The Pokemon would stage a rebellion much like Spartacus in ancient Rome. Although at first glance Pokemon appear to be friends with humans, they would realize they’re actually being used like slaves, which would lead to an uprising. Pikachu would become the leader of the revolt and end up fighting with Ash. Team Rocket, who are in possession of lots of sinister Pokemon would try to mediate the conflict, but they’d do a poor job of interpreting and only make things worse,” Shudo said.

Looking at this description, it is hard to believe. Not only did Shudo expect to pit Ash against Pikachu, but the entire structure of Pokemon training would fall apart. Shudo went on to say he tried to come up with a different finale that could absolutely end Pokemon, but it wasn’t possible.

What’s The Difference Between A Mythical & Legendary

    Are There Too Many Pokemon?

To the average person, “Mythical” and “Legendary” are synonyms that don’t have much difference in meaning. However, in the Pokémon world, they are quite distinct from one another, albeit a bit confusingly. Simply put, a Legendary Pokémon is one that people know exists but has some extraordinary power or important role in the lore of the world. A Mythical Pokémon is one that is told of in hushed whispers or grand tales and only rumored to actually exist.

There are definitely some Mythicals that should be considered Legendary and vice versa, but their status is set and kept that way permanently. Mythicals, according to many fans, are basically just the Pokémon that can only be obtained through special events in the main series games .

    What Are Ivs & Evs

Pokémon’s stats are not just the base stats that you can find online. Each individual Pokémon also has its own set of Individual Values and Effort Values . It’s a complicated process to explain what these values are, but they’re basically a unique set of values that influence how that particular individual levels up.

IVs are like human or animal genes. They’re inherent to that individual from birth and are basically the unchanging potential a Pokémon has in each of its stats. EVs are like points that a Pokémon earns through various efforts that are applied toward each stat. The amount of EVs in a stat a Pokémon earns affects how much that stat goes up by when the Pokémon levels up.

Pokemon Season 24 Netflix Us Release Date With English Dub In September 2021

While Japan is receiving Pokemon Master Journeys in Summer 2021, the Pokemon Company International has confirmed that additional markets will receive the new episodes later this year in 2021.

Its also been confirmed that Netflix is keeping its exclusive rights for streaming Pokemon Master Journeys. The first 12 episodes will release on September 10, 2021. More episodes will release approximately every three months for the duration of the season.

The Pokemon Journeys English dub for America was a Netflix Original exclusive that was streaming only on Netflix U.S. in the United States. The Pokemon Journeys Netflix U.S. release date for the first 12 episodes was scheduled for June 2020 .

Every three months, 12 more episodes were released on Netflix U.S. Its unlikely that coronavirus delays will be enough to disrupt Netflixs plans.

That meant Pokemon Journeys Part 4: Episodes 37 through 48 came out in March 2021.

Unfortunately, as of the end of June 2021, Pokemon Journeys Part 5: Episodes 49 through 60 were in limbo on Netflix. The episodes were not released based on the previously announced schedule and no new announcement was made about how the anime would continue to be distributed internationally.

Lets just be glad the wait for the Pokemon Master Journeys release date is not too long. Stay tuned!

    Differences From The Games

New Episodes of Pokemon Journeys Anime will be Streamed on ...

Although the miniseries is more faithful to the games than the main series, there are still some differences, mainly to enhance the plot or due to time constraints.

    • Looker, who originally did not debut until Pokémon Platinum, has his role extended in this series.
    • Lance‘s role in the Lake of Rage incident is expanded, unlike in the games, where the narrative focuses on the player.
    • In the games, Lance and Ethan battle the wildElectrode powering the generator, causing them to faint or capture them. In The Lake of Rage, they instead release them.
    • Also, there are twelve Electrode powering the generator as opposed to only six in the games.
  • Petrel shows up in the generator room instead of Ariana like in the games.
  • Unlike in the games, neither the player nor Maxie stops Archie in The Cavern.
  • Unlike in the games, the player does not arrive at the Spear Pillar to stop Cyrus in The New World.
  • After Giratina drags Cyrus into the Distortion World, it doesn’t leave a portal behind like in the games.
  • Looker does not arrest Charon at Stark Mountain. Instead, Charon escapes with help from two Galactic Grunts.
  • Iris is present when N’s Castle is summoned instead of the player character, and it is summoned by the Seven Sages instead of N. The subsequent confrontation between the UnovaGym Leaders and the Seven Sages takes place outside the castle instead of inside, and an army of Team Plasma Grunts participates in the battle.
