New Max Raid Battle With Pichu Pikachu And Raichu Starts Today In Pokmon Sword And Shield

Trainers also have a small chance of encountering Mimikyu.

A new Max Raid event started today in PokémonSword and Shield featuring the evolutions of the franchises most popular Pokémon, Pikachu.

Trainers will have until Aug. 9 to catch Pichu, Pikachu, Raichu, and Alolan Raichu in the Wild Area. Theres also a slight chance of encountering Mimikyu.

Out of all the creatures in the Pikachu family, only Pikachu itself has a guaranteed rate of its shiny version appearing during this event. Its only an eight-percent chance, though. All of the other Pokémon still have a standard rate.

None of them are Gigantamax Pokémon, but this is the first time the Alolan version of Raichu has been made available in a Max Raid event. This event is probably related to the Pikachu Outbreakchu event in which a huge number of giant Pikachus make a performance. The live event frequently happened in August in Yokohama, Japan.

The last Wild Area event added various Water and Ground-type Pokémon that will appear until Aug. 31. The featured Pokémon include Chewtle, Feebas, Wooper, Silicobra Hippopotas, and Shellos. Trainers will also find their evolutions and the Gigantamax version of Drednaw and Sandaconda.

Pokemon Sword And Shield Pichu

Pokemon Sword and Shield Pichu is a Electric Type Tiny Mouse Pokémon, which makes it weak against Ground type moves. You can find and catch Pichu in Route 4 with a 5% chance to appear during All Weather weather. The Max IV Stats of Pichu are 20 HP, 40 Attack, 35 SP Attack, 15 Defense, 35 SP Defense, and 60 Speed.

Speed 60

Based on this pokemon’s stats we consider the best nature for Pichu to have is Hasty, this will increase it’s Speed and decrease it’s Defense stats.

Pichu Abilities

The Pokémon is charged with static electricity, so contact with it may cause paralysis.
Lightning Rod Hidden The Pokémon draws in all Electric-type moves. Instead of being hit by Electric-type moves, it boosts its Sp. Atk.

Sword Pokedex Entry

Despite its small size, it can zap even adult humans. However, if it does so, it also surprises itself.

Shield Pokedex Entry

The electric sacs in its cheeks are small. If even a little electricity leaks, it becomes shocked.

Pokemon Sword And Shield Is Throwing A Pikachu Mass Appearance Event

Look out for the Pikachu evolutionary line in Max Raid Battles.

Update : The Pokemon Company originally listed the end date for this event as August 16. Now, it has updated its announcement to reflect the correct date of August 9. We’ve changed our post accordingly.

Original Story:

Trainers, for a limited time, a Pikachu Mass Appearance event in Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield will give you the chance to find Pikachu and the other members of its evolutionary line more often than normal in Max Raid Battles.

This event is running from now until August 9 at 4:59 p.m PT. During this time, you can encounter regular Pikachu, Gigantamax Pikachu, Raichu, Alolan Raichu, and Pichu more often than normal in Max Raid Battles.

In addition, theres the chance you may encounter Shiny Pikachu during this Pikachu Mass Appearance event.

If you search your own Wild Area and dont find any in Pokemon Dens, you can cause new battles to appear by completing all of the battles that are currently active. You can also throw Wishing Pieces into Dens to cause new Pokemon to appear instantly .

Finally, you can join other players in their Raids with these pocket monsters by connecting to the internet and searching for Raids on the games Y-COMM menu.

Finding Pichu And Pikachu

If you want to raise it all the way from a baby, Pichu is available in max raids. Players can find it in dens within Giant’s Cap, Hammerlocke Hills, and Motostoke Riverbank. However, Pikachu is more readily attainable within Sword & Shield.

Pikachu can be found along Route 4 in all weather, or in the Wild Area amidst the Rolling Fields and Stony Wilderness during thunderstorms. Max raid dens in Giant’s Cap, Giant’s Mirror, Hammerlocke Hills, Lake of Outrage, and Motostoke Riverbank, also host Pikachu battles.

How To Evolve Pichu

Pokemon Sword & Shield: How to Get Pichu

You might be wondering how to evolve Pichu to play with the series mascot, Pikachu. He’s pretty iconic, after all. Well, that one is easy. When Pichu is leveled up with high enough friendship, it evolves into Pikachu. If you want to further evolve the line, Pikachu can evolve into Raichu when a Thunder Stone is used on it. Why not give every mouse in this electrifying line some time to shine? They all deserve it equally.

Where To Find And Catch Eevee In Pokmon Sword And Shield

Dot Esports has a useful guide for where you can find an Eevee in the wild in Pokémon Sword and Shield. In short, you have a couple of options:

1. Look around in the tall grass on Route 4 just after riding the train in from the small town of Wedgehurst. Theyâre pretty rare though, so this could take a while.

2. You can also hope one shows up in a Max Raid Battle in the Wild Area, but, again, that could take a while.

Super Smash Bros Ultimate

Pichu made a return to the Smash series with Ultimate, as it brought every fighter who had ever been in the game back. However, things were very different this time around, as Pichu’s nimble attributes andhard-hitting attacks made the Pokémon TOP-TIER, even eclipsing Pikachu. Crazy, right? Pichu still damages itself in Ultimate, but the new Rage mechanic make that somewhat of a positive. Also, Spiky-eared Pichu is one of Pichu’s skins in the game. How fun!

Except For Sinnoh Alola And Galar

Where to find Pikachu in Pokémon Sword and Shield

In three regions, you can find Pichu in the wild. Alola is going to be the quickest region to find him in, as he can be found as early in the game as Route 1. He also makes an appearance in Hau’oli City. Sinnoh is another region you can find Pichu in the wild, specifically in the Trophy Garden, where he can be found with many of the other babies. Finally, Pichu can be found in various areas in the Wild Area of Sword and Shield. Maybe lil Pichu isn’t as exclusive as we once thought he was.

Where To Find & Catch Pikachu In Pokemon Sword & Shield

Pikachu is very fast and is an Electric type. Its a good idea to use a Ground Pokemon. Ground is strong against Electric so a Ground Pokemon should be able to take plenty of hits without being incapacitated. However, you need to be careful not to kill Pikachu. Avoid using Ground moves if possible, sticking to normal moves to lower Pikachus HP so you can catch it more efficiently.

Lower Pikachus HP as much as possible before tossing off a ball and you should catch Pikachu easily.

Shiny Pichu After 966 Eggs

I wish they’d rework some shinies. Pikachu should have the best shiny.

I believe I copied this correctly but here is a link to what I use

Its also easy to just count the amount of boxes. 30 Pichu per box

I logged it with a shiny tracker. If you look up shiny tracker online it’s the first one you see called shinytracker night coffee

Ok wow I am happy you did it

It is, some shinies aren’t as predominant as others. Which the pikachu line such as pichu is. Pichu shiny is an darker shade of it’s normal yellow fur. And I took a crappy pic with my phone because it’s the best I had at the moment.

Our Pokemon Sword and Shield Pikachu Guide everything that you need to know about Pikachu in Pokemon Sword and Shield.

Where to Find Pikachu in Pokemon Sword and Shield

In order to find a wild Pikachu in Pokemon Sword and Shield, you will need to head to Route 4 and look around for it in the tall, yellow grass scattered in the area. Here you will eventually find one lurking around. It might a little hard to find because the grass is also yellow and Pikachu sort of blends right in it so keep looking for exclamation marks and one of them will be eventually Pikachu.

Getting a Free Pikachu with Pokemon Lets Go, Pikachu! Saved File

If you played Pokemon Lets Go, Pikachu on your Nintendo Switch when it came out and you still have a saved file on your system, you are eligible for a free Pikachu right from the start of the game. To claim your Pikachu, head to the train station located near the Wild Area and speak with the children standing next to the terminal. However, this claimed Pikachu is not able to evolve into Raichu. If you want to evolve your Pokemon into Raichu, you must find and capture one in the wild.

Super Smash Bros Melee

Pichu surprised us all by making a playable appearance in Super Smash Bros. Melee. Pichu is the only playable rep from Generation Two, making him quite an important character. However, there’s one little problem with Pichu’s appearance in Melee. He’s basically the joke character of the game.

Pichu is essentially a clone of Pikachu, but is worse in every conceivable way. To make things even worse, Pichu damages itself every single time it attacks. In Melee, there’s basically no reason to consider using Pichu.

How Do I Find Event Pokemon

  • Okay I feel stupid, but I keep seeing people in videos, reading the instructions on pages, and have even joined raids on twitch. Like it says go to the wild area news to connect to the internet before checking an active den, and you should find them. But when I do, I only get the regular spawns, and no event pokemon. Example, I am trying to get the baby pokemon right now. I start sword up, go to the wild area, connect to the internet by wild news, and check in front of an active den, and only get the dwebble, no matter how many times I check it. I don’t care if I get a shiny or not. I just want the pokemon. I only have 4 badges, so a 3 star is my best to find. Can somebody tell me what I am doing wrong? Or do I need to beat the game first to find the event pokemon?gamer75 – 1 year ago
  • How To Obtain Pichu

Where To Find Pikachu In Pokemon Sword And Shield

Pichu isn’t a Pokémon that isn’t always so readily available. That’s because in most main series games, the only way you’re going to be able to obtain Pichu is through breeding a Pikachu or Raichu. As Pichu is basically the mascot of the baby Pokémon, it makes sense that he would only be available to obtain through this method. Although, Pichu is available in a few more places, as long as you’re in the right region.

    Is Pikachu A Good Pokmon

Pokémon Number 025 is an icon. Theyâre the first Pokémon that anime watchers meet and the indisputable mascot of the whole franchise.

The electric Pokémon is mediocre, but often nothing special. They have a base stat total of 320, which is a far cry from Raichu. Once evolved to Raichu, the Pokémon has a base stat total of 485. Unfortunately, Ash’s Pikachu is unable to evolve into Raichu, theyâre permanently stuck as Pikachu.

If youâd like to try making them a member of your team, Ash’s Pikachu comes with some excellent starter moves. For example, Thunderbolt does a great deal of STAB damage. They also have Iron Tail and Electro Web at their disposal, aping Ash’s Pikachu’s canon moveset. All eight Pikachus have the same base moveset, and they can also learn Volt Tackle at the Move Reminder.

Ash’s Pikachu is more of a novelty than anything competitive.

If you want an electric addition to your team, Ash’s Pikachu isnât it. Try getting a Raichu instead. You can breed Ash’s Pikachu to make a normal Pikachu, which can then be evolved to Raichu by using a Thunder Stone. Teach that Raichu a few cool moves and youâll have a winner on your hands. You should keep Thunderbolt for STAB damage and teach them TR77 Grass Knot for field coverage, TR68 Nasty Plot for a boost, and Nuzzle to stun your foes.

    The First Pikachu Clone

Pichu has a very special distinction attached to his name… being second. That’s right, Pichu is the very first second Pikachu, as Pikachu has a clone in every single generation.

Technically you could count Raichu as a Pikachu clone if you really needed to… but don’t treat Raichu so dirty he’s already ignored enough. Either way, Pichu kicked off a trend that introduced many new electric rats to the series throughout the years, such as Plusle, Minun, Pacharisu and many more. Most recently we received the very hangry boy Morepeko.

Pokemon Sword & Shield Wild Area Event Features The Whole Pikachu Family

The full Pikachu family is invading the Pokemon Sword & Shield Wild Area, including the rare Alolan-form Raichu.

Update: According to the Pokemon website, the Pikachu Wild Area event has been extended by a week. It will now end on August 16 at 4:59PM PT.

Original story: If you’re playing Pokemon Sword & Shield, chances are that you already have a Pikachu. You might have more than one Pikachu, in fact. You might even have the full Pikachu line. But The Pokemon Company is banking on trainers not having these kinds of Pikachu. On Wednesday night, Nintendo and The Pokemon Company launched a new Wild Area event for Pokemon Sword & Shield and it’s one that focuses on the full Pikachu lineage, including its Alolan cousin.

According to the Nintendo Switch newshub , players running through the Wild Area across Pokemon Sword & Shield will find an increased frequency of the Pikachu family appearing in Max Raid Battles. This includes the standard Pikachu, its tinier predecessor Pichu, its evolved form Raichu, and a special appearance by the Alolan-form Raichu from Pokemon Sun and Moon. The Alolan Raichu variant is a special Electric/Psychic dual type, one that uses its tail to ride the waves. Electric/Psychic-type Pokemon as a whole are a rarity in Sword & Shield, so you might want to seize this rare opportunity to catch this guy.
