Metronome has great potential, but you might as well pick a good specific move.

One of the most important parts of raising and battling Pokémon is understanding their moves. A Pokémon can learn up to four moves. Many factors influence what moves a Pokémon can learn including type, breeding, and level.

The trainer has to decide what moves they want their Pokémon to know. Naturally, some moves are just better than others. Why make your Charizard use Ember when it can learn Flamethrower?

However,;some moves are a little two powerful for the good of the game. Some moves are so powerful or control the flow of battle so thoroughly that the game might even be better without them.

Then there are moves that trainers just love to use, even if they arent that great. They might be flashy or they might wreck NPC trainers, but they arent always useful.

How To Beat Giovanni In July 2021

The Team GO Rocket Boss Giovanni doesnt change his team often but Pokémon GO players who didnt fight him last month may be surprised in July 2021. Thats because hes switched to Shadow Ho-Oh, but all fo the usual tips still apply. Just like with the Team GO Rocket Leaders, you should try to burn off his two shields as quickly as possible. And with this comes the tip to always put your actual first Pokémon in the second or third position and switch to them as soon as you can. This causes a delay in Giovannis attacks, as does using a Charged Attack against him. Use this to power up your counters as listed below.

Players Should Stop Using: Transform

Ditto is a weird Pokémon. Many gimmick Pokémon have come and gone, but Ditto still feels like one of the most unique and interesting.

It can only learn the move Transform.;However, this amazing ability lets Ditto take on the species, type, stats, moves, status changes, and abilities of any target Pokémon– yes, any.

Especially in the earlier Generation games, transforming a Ditto into an opponents super powerful Pokémon was very exciting. For one battle you could have that Dragonite, Alakazam, or Golem of your very own.

However,;there are drawbacks to a transformed Ditto. It will only have up to 5 PP for all of the moves that it copies.

Also, Dittos own stats are so poor that it might not get the chance to transform. At the end of the day, a copy is just a copy.

• Magneton Thunder Shock/Zap Cannon
• Ivysaur Vine Whip/Solar Beam

Suicune is available only in Asia-Pacific region at the moment, but with the rotation, it will be available in the US, Europe and Africa after September 30.

How To Beat Team Go Rocket Executive Cliff

Cliff is the first of the Team GO Rocket Executives and their counterpart to Team Mystic’s Leader Blanche. Cliff brings in a team of three Pokémon with the second and third being chosen from a pool of different strong Shadow Pokémon. The problem is that there is one electric move that is inarguably better in almost any situation– and that is Thunderbolt.

Thunder has a 30 percent chance to miss its target, while Thunderbolt has 100% accuracy. You can use Rain Dance to make Thunder 100% accurate but you will waste a turn setting;it up.

Sure;Thunderbolt has a little less power than Thunder, but youll make up for that with accuracy.

How To Beat Team Go Rocket Leader Giovanni

The Founder of Team GO Rocket, Giovanni is the only one bringing in Legendary Shadow Pokémon. For the time being, however, his team is more limited than his Executives. His first Pokémon is always Persian and his last is currently Shadow Ho-Oh.

• Giovanni’s first Pokémon is Persian. The best Pokémon to counter Persian are Tyranitar, Machamp, Conkeldurr, Lucario, and Hariyama. However, you can also use this time to build up a charged attack for his second Pokémon.

• For his second Pokémon, Giovanni could bring Golem. As a Ground and Rock type, Grass and Water are the best bets, but it’s also weak to Fighting, Ground, Ice, and Steel. Some of the top counters include Torterra, Mega Gyarados, Swampert, Mega Venusaur, Kyogre, and Leafeon.

• If he brings Cloyster, this Water and Ice type takes increased damage from Electric, Fighting, Grass, and Rock type moves. Some of the top counters include Melmetal, Shadow Magmortar, Omastar, Arcanine, Regirock, and Lucario.

• Machamp could be his second Pokémon. Fairy, Flying, and Psychic types deal super effective damage to this pure Fighting type. Your best options for countering are Lugia, Mewtwo, Zapdos, Shadow Zapdos, Cresselia or Shadow Mewtwo.

• Giovanni’s third Pokémon is currently Shadow Ho-Oh. The Legendary Bird is a Flying and Fire type Pokémon so it is weak to Electric and Water, and has a quad weakness to Rock. Top counters include Mega Ampharos, Politoad, Mew, Swampert, Mega Gyarados, Shadow Raikou, and Mega Blastoise.

Best Kangaskhan Counters In Pokemon Go

As above, see below. Kangaskhan is also a Normal-type Pokemon, which means hell be weak against Fighting-type attacks but protected against Ghost-type moves. So if you do bring a Machamp or a Lucario with you into the battle, or something similar, this would be another opportunity in which to use it! Again, their Fighting-type moves should do 160 per cent of their usual damage here.

Best Persian & Kangaskhan Counters

Since Persian is a Normal-type Pokémon, the best way to beat it is to bring a Fighting-type Pokémon, such as Machamp, Lucario, Hitmonchan or Blaziken. Persian typically uses Normal, Dark, Fairy and Rock move sets.;

Kangaskhan will be one of the three Pokémon that Giovanni can send out as his second choice. It is a Normal-type Pokémon that can demonstrate a really powerful offence.;

Similar to Persian, Fighting-type Pokémon are the best counters as is the case with the majority of Normal-types.;

• Lucario

It is important to mention that these counters need to have access to at least one Fighting move to be;effective against Giovanni and his Persian in;Pokemon GO. This means that Melmetal and Rhyperior should really only be sent to this battle if they can use the Super Power charge move, and;if they cannot players should definitely consider another option.

Now that fans have some information;on Persian’s weakness and best counters in;PoGO,;it should not be too difficult to dispatch it. However, that will certainly not mark the end of the fight with Giovanni, as players will then need to overcome one of three possible Pokemon: Dugtrio, Nidoking, or Garchomp. After that, fans must defeat Suicune in;Pokemon GO, and indeed that is the final Pokemon on the Team GO Rocket Boss’s lineup.

With respect to what players will earn for beating Persian and Giovanni’s other Pokemon in;PoGO, the reward is five Max Potions. The Pokémon;games have always had semi-invulnerable moves like Fly or Dig, where the user takes a turn in a state out of the way of battle to set up an attack.

Sky Drop was one such move introduced in Generation 5. Its special because it takes the user and the target out of the normal arena for a turn and then drops the target back down to earth.

In Generation 5, there was a glitch that got this move banned from Nintendo Wifi battles. If the move Gravity is used while the target and user of Sky Drop are in their semi-invulnerable state, the user will be pulled back down, but the target will be stuck.

They wont be able to do anything until Gravity ends, when they are KOed or the Sky Drop user is KOed. It is very exploitable.
