One of the resident guide writers around these parts, give me a game and I will write every “how to” I possibly can or die trying. When I’m not knee-deep in a game to write guides on, you’ll find me hurtling round the track in F1, flinging balls on my phone in Pokemon Go, pretending to know what I’m doing in Football Manager, or clicking on heads in Valorant.

When You Get To Level 30 On ‘pokmon Go’ Things Get Intense

LONDON — No matter how good you are at Pokémon Go, you’re probably not as good as this person.

On Sunday, Reddit user Verigood — a product manager at a software company in California — from Pokémon Go that they captured at the point of reaching Level 30.

Yep, Level 30. When you remember that you need more and more experience the higher your level is, that’s pretty damn impressive .

Pokemon Go Level 40 To 50 Requirements

Rather than simply having to earn a certain amount of XP to level up as is the case up to and including level 40, there are now some additional challenges attached to leveling up. As well as a huge XP requirement, each level between levels 41 and 50 has its own set of unique tasks attached to it. These can range from catching a certain number of Pokemon within a set period of time to beating difficult raids and trainer battles multiple times. Some of them can be incredibly time-consuming, although it’s definitely worth the extra effort.

As well as increasing the potential of your Pokemon, every new level will grant a selection of fantastic rewards, which include new poses and clothing for your avatar as well as the recently introduced XL Candy, which is needed to level up your Pokemon beyond level 40. There aren’t too many players who have been able to reach the big five-oh so far, but, now that the requirements are known, it shouldn’t take too long for 50 to become the new norm.

What Happens When You Reach Level 40 In Pokemon Go

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU HIT LEVEL 40 IN POKEMON GO?! POKEMON GO Q&A #1

If you’re striving to become a true Pokemon Master in Pokemon Go, you’ll need to reach Level 40, the highest obtainable level in the game. Pokemon Go doesn’t make reaching Level 40 easy, as the game requires exponentially more XP to level up as players progress farther into the game. In order to get to Level 40, players will need to collect a total of 20 million XP, with 5 million XP needed just to level up from Level 39 to Level 40.

So what do you get for reaching Level 40? Surprisingly, not very much. Players receive 40 Ultra Balls, 40 Max Potions, 40 Max Revives, 40 Razz Berries, 4 Egg Incubators, 4 Lucky Eggs, 4 Lure Modules, and 4 Incense. Reaching Level 40 won’t unlock Master Balls, Honey, or any of the other items still hidden in Pokemon Go‘s game data. Nor does the game unlock any Legendary Pokemon or Ditto, who players still haven’t figured out how to unlock.

So far, only one player has reportedly reached Level 40 and they did it with the help of an automated bot in order to test the game’s capabilities. According to that player, they used 131 Lucky Eggs to reach Level 40 and averaged about 280,000 XP per hour.

The fact that Niantic included Lucky Eggs indicates that they plan to increase the Level Cap at some point, so maybe Level 40 is just another step in the Pokemon Go journey instead of the destination.

Mass Evolving And Lucky Eggs

Evolving a Pokémon gives 500 XP which is a pretty huge amount. It also happens very quickly and can be delayed to a convenient time, making it a perfect situation for using a Lucky Egg for double XP.

You also often discover new Pokémon in this manner which also gives a base 500 XP that gets doubled.

In the timespan of one Lucky Egg, you can evolve roughly 70 Pokémon.

Timing your evolution spree to coincide with PokéStops or eggs hatching;gives you even more XP and new Pokédex entries!

What Happens When You Hit Level 40 In Pokemon Go

With Niantic somewhat increasing the max level a trainer can achieve in Pokemon GO around the end of 2020, players who haven’t yet reached the previous cap are curious what all comes with completing the level 40 milestone.

The leveling system is altered a bit after a trainer reaches level 40. Not only will players need to gain a certain amount of XP, but they’ll also be required to complete specific challenges at each level from 41-50.

Here’s what happens when you reach level 40 in Pokemon GO.

Here Are Some Of The Other Things We Learned

You need a whopping 500,000 XP points to get from Level 30 to Level 31.

And the Pokémon are consistently harder to catch.

They are also at a much, much higher level in the wild, though.

But while Verigood might be Level 30, they still haven’t caught them all.

For anyone wondering how they reached such a high level in less than two weeks, it sounds like Verigood mainly used the mass-evolving method discussed here .

The Golden Pokedex / Iv Chasing

Collect a 100% IV of every evolution of every available pokemon. This is going to take a combination of luck, time, and fortitude to accomplish but it can be done if a trainer has the ambition. There are 2 ways to go about accomplishing this goal.

The first would the old fashioned way. Catch everything, IV check it, and hope for the best. This method is going to require a lot of time and probably even more luck, even then you might not be able to complete it.

The second way would be to employ the use of trackers, which while controversial to some, remains as one of if not the most used non supported tools used in the game today. GO Hub doesnt promote ToS breaking, but we are not oblivious to the fact that trackers are widely used in the Level 40 community. This method still requires some luck, but far less time. Although, its not a simple as just running around to every 100% Pokemon you see pop up. Your 100% gems will be nuked by a weather change, so keep that in mind if your heading out towards the bottom of the hour.

The most hardcore of IV Chasers go a step further and collect a male and female of each species.

Own Ten Or More Gyms Daily

Put your Pokémon on a Gym and, as long as it remains on that Gym, you can claim a Defenders Bonus of 500 Stardust and 10 Poké Coins every 21 hours. Two Gyms will net you 1000 Stardust and 20 Pokécoin. Three gyms, 1500 and 30. The bonuses keep adding up to a maximum of ten Gyms, 5000 Stardust, and 100 Poké Coins every 21 hours. So, get your Pokémon on ten Gyms every 21 hours, and you’re sitting pretty.

To get your Pokémon even on a single Gym can be a challenge, though. You have to either luck on an open slot, or take down the Gym of a competing Gym or prestige up a friendly Gym to make a slot. And you have to do it while other players are going around taking down Gyms you’re already on.

Some people try to put the highest CP Pokémon they can on the highest level Gyms they can and hold on for as long as they can. 3000+ Dragonite, Snorlax, Rhydon, Gyrados, and Vaporeon can last a while, after all.

Others prefer to travel around, take down as many Gyms as quickly as possible, put as many Pokémon of any kind on them as rapidly as possible, and claim the Defenders Bonus as fast as possible.

The first is a stamina play. The second, a speed play. Both can work. Of course, since taking down Gyms isn’t as hard as it used to be, and other people can be traveling around taking down the same Gyms you just did, both can also fail at any time.

In addtion to the various leagues, the Pokémon Go Battle League also holds cups. These themed special competitions have different restrictions than the standard leagues. Pokmon Go Level 47 Tasks And Rewards

In order to reach Level 47 in Pokémon GO, you will have to complete 30 Raids with unique species, win a Tier 3 raid using only 1500 CP Pokémon, spend Stardust to power up Pokémon and earn 20 Platinum medals.

Pokémon GO Level 47 Tasks and Rewards

Level-up Tasks
  • new pose

Win 30 raids using a team of all unique Pokémon species

The easiest way to complete this task is to raid Tier 1 and Tier 3 raids with different teams of Pokémon. Although Tier 5 raids should also be included in your progression, they are not-soloable and often require a specific set of Pokémon that you probably used in earlier raiding tiers.

Win a three-star raid using only Pokémon with 1500 CP or less

This can be quite challenging, but try to reuse the Pokémon you maxed out for The Great League and that are super effective against the specific Tier 3 raid boss youre targeting. You can use our;Pokemon GO Raid Guides to see which Pokémon are good against that boss and then pick similarly typed Pokémon that are under 1500 CP.

Power up 3Pokémon to their max CP

Not much to say here you need to power-up 3 Pokémon to their Max CP. In order to conserve Stardust, we suggest you focus on Lucky Pokémon if possible.

Earn 20 Platinum Medals

Similar to the Earn 10 Platinum medals requirement on Level 45, focus on regular gameplay and you will eventually reach this goal.

Complete Your Living Pokdex

For some people, just having added one of each Pokémon to check off the entries in the Pokédex isn’t enough. For them, keeping them in a living Pokédex is the real challenge and thrill.

If you want a living Pokédex it means, for example, after you evolve your first Dragonite, you have to evolve another Dragonair and keep a Dratini so you have one of each. Same with Tyranitar, Pupitar, and Larvitar. You get the idea.

Ultimately, a living Pokédex means you should have one of every Pokémon currently available in the game also available to you for putting on a Gym or prestiging a Gym, for example, any time you want.

Of course, you can aim for two of each, three of each, or more especially if you’re working on ideal movesets and up the challenge level as much as you like.
