How Do I Challenge The Leaders Of Team Go Rocket

How to Beat ARLO

While Team GO Rocket Grunts have been taking over PokéStops since July 2019, beginning in November 2019, their leaders have joined the fight. By fighting six Grunts, you can collect Mysterious components, which can, in turn, be used to create a Rocket Radar. Once in possession of a Rocket Radar, you can track down Team GO Rocket Hideouts, and challenge one of three Team GO Rocket Executives.

These Executives are much stronger than the Grunts and actually know how to use their Shields, so prepare for a tough battle and prioritize burning through their shields early. Each of the three executives will reward you with their first Shadow Pokémon, which has the potential to be Shiny, and a Strange Egg, if you have room in your bag.

Additionally, if you defeat all three Team GO Rocket Executives, you can be rewarded with a Super Rocket Radar once per month that will lead you to the Boss of Team GO Rocket: Giovanni! Cliff Counters And Line

Here are the possible line ups for Cliff in Pokémon Go, as of May 2021.

Remember – the first Pokémon is one that, if you defeat him, you’ll be given the chance to catch, while the others are randomly selected:

First Pokémon
Hariyama Torterra

When planning your counters against Cliff, you’ll want to start your team with a fire or flying-type Pokémon. This choice depends on whether Cliff is using either Poliwrath or Hariyama as his second Pokémon, because, if he is, then your first Pokémon could cause some additional damage to them after defeating Seedot. Rayquaza, Honchrow or Moltres are all ideal flying-type counters, with Moltres having the additional bonus of also being a fire-type, which makes it ideal for defeating Seedot.

If you decide to go down the fire-type route though, but don’t have a Moltres, then Darmanitan or Entei are also good choices.

When it comes down to Cliff’s final choice, then a strong bug-type is the way to go as all three of his choices share it as a common weakness. This makes Scizor, Pinsir and Yanmega all excellent choices.

It’s important to note that Tyranitar is especially weak to fighting-types, such as Lucario, Conkeldurr and Machamp good choices, while Torterra can be easily defeated by ice-type Pokémon, like Mamoswine, Weavile or Glaceon.

How To Beat Team Go Rocket Executive Cliff

Cliff is the first of the Team GO Rocket Executives and their counterpart to Team Mystic’s Leader Blanche. Cliff brings in a team of three Pokémon with the second and third being chosen from a pool of different strong Shadow Pokémon. Fortunately, you can battle an Executive as many times as it takes to beat them. So, if you lose the first time, take note of which Pokémon fill those second and third slots and plan your next attack accordingly.

Locate The Leaders Of Team Go Rocket

Whenever you fight and defeat Team GO Rocket minions, they leave behind a Mysterious element. Collect 6 Mysterious Items to craft a Radar Rocket :

Note that if you have a Rocket Radar in your Item Bag or if your Item Dac is full, you will not be able to collect Mysterious Items after defeating Team GO Rocket Minions. You can track the progress of your Rocket Radar by checking the number of Mysterious Items in your bag. After obtaining your first Rocket Radar, you will be able to purchase Rocket Radars from the in-game store using PokéCoins. Rocket Radars reveal the positions of chiefs haunts near. Leader lairs look like normal PokéStops until youre nearby when youre close enough, you may spot a Team GO Rocket leader next to the associated PokéStop.

You can equip a Rocket Radar immediately after crafting it, or equip and unequip it from your bag. Once equipped, you can press the Radar Rocket button below the compass in Map View to view the positions of leader lairs.

Note : bosses wont appear in PokéStops if you dont have a Rocket Radar equipped.

How To Beat Team Go Rocket Leader Giovanni

The Founder of Team GO Rocket, Giovanni is the only one bringing in Legendary Shadow Pokémon. For the time being, however, his team is more limited than his Executives. His first Pokémon is always Persian and his last is currently Shadow Ho-Oh.

  • Giovanni’s first Pokémon is Persian. The best Pokémon to counter Persian are Tyranitar, Machamp, Conkeldurr, Lucario, and Hariyama. However, you can also use this time to build up a charged attack for his second Pokémon.

  • For his second Pokémon, Giovanni could bring Golem. As a Ground and Rock type, Grass and Water are the best bets, but it’s also weak to Fighting, Ground, Ice, and Steel. Some of the top counters include Torterra, Mega Gyarados, Swampert, Mega Venusaur, Kyogre, and Leafeon.

  • If he brings Cloyster, this Water and Ice type takes increased damage from Electric, Fighting, Grass, and Rock type moves. Some of the top counters include Melmetal, Shadow Magmortar, Omastar, Arcanine, Regirock, and Lucario.
  • Machamp could be his second Pokémon. Fairy, Flying, and Psychic types deal super effective damage to this pure Fighting type. Your best options for countering are Lugia, Mewtwo, Zapdos, Shadow Zapdos, Cresselia or Shadow Mewtwo.

  • Giovanni’s third Pokémon is currently Shadow Ho-Oh. The Legendary Bird is a Flying and Fire type Pokémon so it is weak to Electric and Water, and has a quad weakness to Rock. Top counters include Mega Ampharos, Politoad, Mew, Swampert, Mega Gyarados, Shadow Raikou, and Mega Blastoise.

What Are The Best Pokmon Go Arlo Counters For Vileplume

How to beat ARLO in Pokemon Go

Arlo may pick Shadow Vileplume and you are in luck if he does, because it will make for a pretty easy battle. Vileplume is a standard grass and poison Pokémon, so choosing flying and steel-type counters will allow you to resist most of its attacks, giving you a strong advantage.

  • Diagla Dragon Breath and Iron Head or Draco Meteor
  • Ho-Oh Incinerate and Brave Bird or Earthquake
  • Heatran Fire Spin and Flamethrower or Iron Head
  • Dragonite Dragon Breath and Dragon Claw or Hurricane
  • Reshiram Dragon Breath and Crunch or Overheat
  • Lugia Dragon Tail and Sky Attack

Arlo’s Pokmon Lineup And Counters

The first Pokémon Arlo can send out will either be a Pineco or a Mawile.

  • Pineco can use Normal and Bug fast moves, as well as Ground, Rock, and Steel charged moves. His weaknesses are Fire, Rock, and Flying.
  • Mawile uses Fire, Dark, Ice, and Ghost fast moves, with Fairy or Steel charge moves. He is also weak to Fire, as well as Ground moves.
  • The best counters to either of these first picks would be a Pokémon with fire moves since both options have that as a weakness. Chandelure, Blaziken, and Moltres are all good picks here since they can learn Fire Spin and Overheat.

How To Beat The Team Go Rocket Leaders

Before we dive into the best counters for you team we have a couple of important tips for how to beat Arlo, Cliff, and Sierra no matter which Pokémon they are using. First up is to always put your lead Pokémon in the second or third slot, then swap to them immediately. Two things will cause the Team GO Rocket Leaders to pause their attacks, letting you get in some free damage. The first is changing Pokémon. By doing it right as the battle begins you get some quick damage in and charge up your Charged Attack for the next part.

The second thing that will pause Arlo, Cliff, and Sierras attacks is to use a Charged Attack. So try to start the match with a Pokémon with a low energy Charged Attack so you can fire off a few in quick succession. This will have the added effect of burning off the Team GO Rocket leaders shields, as they will use them on the first two Charged Attacks that you use.

Keep these in mind and youll know the basics for how to beat Arlo, Cliff, and Sierra in September 2021. But lets get into the best counters to use against them so you can form a proper team.

Pokemon Go Arlo Counters: September 2021

2nd Sep 2021 10:51

Finding the best Pokemon GO Arlo counters isn’t easy, especially when they change so frequently, but thankfully Arlo has decided to retain the same lineup in September as he had for August in Pokemon GO. This means that if you defeated the red-headed Team GO Rocket leader last month your existing party of Pokemon will do the job once again, but if you haven’t beaten him in a while? Then you’re going to need to know exactly what Arlo’s weaknesses are. These are the best Pokemon GO Arlo counters in September 2021.

If you’re yet to take down the other Team GO Rocket leaders, take a look at these guides:

Arlos First Pokemon Venonat

Unlike the remainder of Arlos staff, his first Pokemon will all the time be the identical: Venonat. This Pokemon is a twin Bug and Poison-type, making it weak to Flying, Rock, Fire, and Psychic-type strikes. It in the meantime resists injury from Poison, Bug, Fairy, Fighting, and Grass-type strikes.

Venonat is Arlos weakest Pokemon, making it simple to get by shortly. Its weak stats moreover make it a superb goal for cost strikes as a way to make Arlo waste his Protect Shields early. If gamers need to do away with Venonat shortly although, the most effective counters for it are:

Reshiram Fire Fang and Overheat

Galarian Darmanitan Ice Fang and Overheat

Chandelure Fire Spin and Overheat

Darmanitan Fire Fang and Overheat

Rampardos Smack Down and Rock Slide
