Will I Be Able To Check My Friends Pokmons Combat Stats Before Agreeing To Trade Mine For It

TRADING LIMITS IN POKEMON GO

The funny thing is that a Pokémons stats are scrambled once its involved in a trade. Depending on the level of friendship you have with the person youre trading with, the stats are tweaked to be more or less than they originally were. This is a good incentive to putting friendship-building near the top of your priorities.

What Has Pokmon Go Said About Trading Pokmon

From Pokémon Go:

If you’re near a friend and have a Trainer Level of 10 or higher, you can trade Pokémon you’ve caught with that friend. Completing a trade earns a bonus Candy for the Pokémon you’ve traded away, and that bonus can increase if the Pokémon you traded were caught in locations far apart from each other! All trades are powered by Stardust, and some trades require more Stardust than others. As you build your Friendship Level with the friend you are trading with, you’ll find that you can complete the trade with much less Stardust.

Certain Pokémon, such as a Legendary Pokémon, a Shiny Pokémon, or a Pokémon not currently in your Pokédex, require a Special Trade to complete, so keep that in mind before trading away that golden Magikarp! Special Trades can only occur once per day with a Great Friend or Best Friend, and it often requires a lot of Stardust to complete a Special Trade. Special Trades are a great way to show a friend how much you care!

Ex Deoxys Gold Star Rayquaza

Sold in December, 2020 for $45,100

Among the most powerful of any Pokémon, Rayquaza is a large, serpentine creature that gained a considerable boost in notoriety after serving as the box art mascot for the Pokémon Emerald video game.

EX Deoxys was the 24th set in the Pokémon Trading Card Game, and its symbol is that of a shooting star.

The set consisted of 108 cards, three of which come with a gold star variant, including the Rayquaza Holo.

Youll notice that next to the Rayquaza name in the upper-left, there is a foil gold star that sets it apart as the gold star variant.

Holographic Shadowless Charizard: $500000

There are a lot of factors that make the Holographic Shadowless First Edition Charizard card worth so much compared to any other Charizard card. Firstly, its a first edition version of the undoubtedly most popular Kanto starter, which already makes it extra valuable to most pokemon fans. Alongside this, the card is also shadowless, which essentially means the card lacks a shadow between the box containing the image of the Pokemon, and the rest of the card.

This Shadowless effect is not a misprint or a mistake. Its actually the original Pokemon card design, as the foiling process has changed and provided a different look to modern holographic and foil cards. These Charizard cards have become one of the prime reasons for the Pokemon Card trend of the past two years, with YouTuber Logan Paul opening one as recently as February 2021 that was estimated by auction site owner Ken Goldin to sell for upwards of $500,000.

The Definitive Guide To Trading In Pokemon Go

Pokémon GO

Trading has long been a staple of the Pokémon series. From obtaining Pokémon not native to ones version of a game to evolving certain Pokémon, trading emphasizes interactivity between trainers. This feature is also available within the mobile title Pokémon Go, allowing players to trade with one another using just their mobile device. But like with other features within the game, there are some restrictions regarding the feature that limit the types of players that you can trade with.

Trading does allow you to exchange your extra Pokémons with other players for Pokémon you need or simply want. Keep in mind that to trade a Pokémon in Pokémon go you need to be in level 10 or more than that and this is the same for your partner too .

Gold Star Pikachu Ex Holon Phantoms

As discussed, the Gold Star cards are highly rare and very valuable. The Pikachu has long been regarded as the poster child of the Pokemon brand, since its the one you see most often in promotions. That little guy just oozes cuteness and while there are a great deal of other Pokemon that are stronger, finding one of these cards is extremely rare. Valued at well over $500, this card is not vintage and it is not overly old either, but the Gold Star gives it its value. From the EX Holon Phantoms series, you may have one or two of them laying around without even knowing. So check your collection and look for the little gold star. You might just be sitting on a heap of cash without even realizing.

It should be noted that top lists are almost always up for debate. A cards value can be determined by the highest its ever sold at auction, or what it sells for on average.

A Pokemon cards value can also wildly fluctuate with the market and are largely dependent on the items grading and condition. Our list is based on what the collectible has sold for in the latest auctions, and its position will be updated if it sells for less or more.

Southern Islands Reverse Holo Mew: $200

When the second Pokemon movie was released in Japan, the makers of the Trading Card Game decided to release a special edition set of cards to mark this occasion. The Southern Islands card series was born, featuring just two sets of nine cards apiece that were unique to any other set in the game.

Full sets of these cards can sell for a lot, but the absolute highest value is undoubtedly the Southern Islands Mew, which has a rare reverse foil treatment where the frame around the art is the only part thats shiny. Troll and Toad is currently selling copies for just over $200 right now, making it even more valuable than the elusive and stylish Ancient Mew mentioned earlier.

Kangaskhan Family Event Trophy

  • Grading: PSA Gem Mint 10
  • Pokemon card value at auction: $150,000

Were now at the top five, and the prices of these most expensive Pokemon cards continue to skyrocket. This 1998 Trophy Pokemon card could only be obtained by participating in a special tournament in Japan. The adorable item features artwork depicting Kangaskhan with its baby in its pouch, surrounded by holo sparkles.

Fittingly, the contest required both a child and their parent to participate alongside each other in TCG battles . According to reports, there are only 11 of these currently in existence that have been graded, making it one of the most rare Trophy Pokemon cards to exist.

In October 2020, two PSA 10s of the collectible went for $150k. With its scarcity, we expect this Pokemon cards value will only continue to go up over the next couple of years.

How To Trade Pokemon In Pokemon Go

Trading has been around in Pokemon GO for a while now so we know a fair bit about it. We’ve listed the key info below, all in one handy place.

  • Trainers must reach level 10 before they are eligible to trade pokemon
  • You must be within 100 metres from the person you would like to trade with
  • When you trade pokemon to a friend, you will see the range of CP and HP that you can get. This range is relative to friend level, your level and friendship level
  • Stats for both pokemon will be altered by the trade
  • Regular trades cost 100 Stardust a piece
  • Candy Bonuses on the relative distance between where the two pokemon were first caught

Holographic Shadowless Blastoise: $2475

Here

Out of the three final-evolution Kanto starters, its Blastoise who has the least valuable Shadowless holographic card, reaching heights of $2475 on Pokemon Prices. We say least valuable, but thats still a lot of money for just the one card, and its hardly far behind its sibling Venusaur.

Thats if Blastoise is still in mint condition, of course, which is a big ask considering these cards are over 20 years old. Carrying the powerful Water-type move Hydro Pump, this version of Blastoise was a pretty impressive card to carry in your deck back in the day, but at this point its still a solid collectible card.

What Is Trade Evolution

There have always been certain species of Pokémon that require Trading to evolve. In January 2020, Pokémon Go incorporated a Trade Evolution mechanic into the game. Now, a select few species will benefit from being Trades. While you can still evolve these species without Trading, by Trading them first, you can evolve them for free. These species include:

  • Kadabra

Pokmon Go Trade Evolution List And How Trade Evolutions Work

Before we get into the specifics of trading itself, let’s start with 2020’s big new feature – trade evolutions.

In the mainline Pokémon games, there’s a set of Pokémon that can only be evolved if they’re traded with another player. When Pokémon Go was released, these Pokémon were all evolved through candy, due to the lack of trading.

Now, however, trade evolution has been incorporated into Pokémon Go, offering a different evolution method for a specific group of Pokémon. These Pokémon are:

  • Kadabra
  • Karrablast
  • Shelmet

Once you’ve traded one of the above Pokémon, the candy cost for evolving them into their third and final evolution will be reduced to zero. This will allow you to quickly add this new Pokémon to your Pokédex, while also gaining a powerful new team member.

If you don’t have any fellow trainers to trade with, however, you’ll still be able to evolve these Pokémon with the candy.

It costs 100 candy to evolve Kadabra, Machoke, Graveler and Haunter from Gen 1.

It costs 200 candy to evolve Boldore, Gurrdurr, Karrablast and Shelmet from Gen 5.

It’s also important to note that Pokémon that evolve using a combination of items and candy in Pokémon Go don’t receive the trade evolution discount. Even though, in the mainline games, a requirement of their evolution is being traded with another player.

Pokemon Go trading guide: How to trade in Pokemon Go, how much trading costs, who you can trade with and more

Pokemon Go trading is one of the key features in the game these days, because you can get some serious benefits from it. From getting lucky Pokemon to evolving specific Pokemon for free, trading in Pokemon Go only has one hurdle; you need a friend to trade with! Once you’ve fulfilled that , the world is your oyster. Here’s everything you need to know about Pokemon Go trading.

There’s some big differences between trading in Pokemon Go and core games in the franchise. Firstly, you need to fulfil the following Pokemon Go trading criteria:

  • Be level 10 or above
  • Be friends on Pokemon Go with the person you’re trading with
  • Be within 100 metres of them in real life

When you’ve fulfilled all three criteria, simply select the correct friend and tap on Trade. You can choose a Pokemon to trade with them, while they’ll send one back. But just like life, things aren’t quite that simple. Here’s everything you need to know about trading in Pokemon Go with our Pokemon Go trading guide, which covers how to trade, the limitations on trading, and other Pokemon Go trading quirks.

Yeah No Problem Do I Get Any Other Rewards For Trading My Pokmon

HOW TO TRADE IN POKÉMON GO!

In honor of giving away one of your monsters, youll get additional candy from a complete trade. The amount is based on the distance between where the trade is taking place and where the Pokémon was caught. So if you caught your Pikachu all the way in London but you live in New York City, youll be getting the maximum of three candy.

You can also potentially get a Lucky Pokémon, which you can only receive through exchanging one with a friend.

Pokemon Needing Less Stardust To Power Up

Lucky Pokemon require less stardust when you need to power them up. This is the essential characteristic and advantage of a Lucky Pokemon.

Half Of Usual Amount Of Stardust

Lucky Pokemon normally need only half the amount of Stardust to power up. This lessens the cost of raising & powering up your desired Pokemon.

Possible To Get Stronger Pokemon When Trading

It’s possible that the Pokemon you receive from a trade may be stronger than the one you sent. This way, it may be easier to get & train more powerful Pokemon by keeping on trading.

Prepare To Use A Lot Of Stardust

When you tap a friends portrait in your friends list and you have met the distance requirements, you will find the option to trade. Youll quickly notice that depending on the Pokémon you wish to trade with one another, however, the amount of Stardust youll be using to do so may be large.

To maintain the amount of trades and what Pokémon are sent between players, Pokémon Go requires a certain amount of Stardust for each trade depending on the type of Pokémon, as well as the friendship between the players. If both Pokémon being traded are in both players Pokédex, the trade will only cost 100 Stardust regardless of friendship level.

There are also Special Trades which further limit how much players may trade with one another, as well as exponentially increase the Stardust cost. These types of trades can only be done once per day. If both Pokémon are Legendary or Shiny and in both players Pokédex, or neither normal Pokémon is in either players Pokédex, the trade will cost 20,000 Stardust for Good Friends, 16,000 for Great Friends, 1,600 for Ultra Friends, or 800 for Best Friends. And if both Pokémon are Legendary or Shiny and are not in either players Pokédex, Good Friends will be set back a whopping 1,000,000 Stardust; Great Friends 800,000; Ultra Friends 80,000; and Best Friends 40,000.

Trade responsibly.

While catching them all is the core of Pokémon Go like any other title in the franchise, there are many different aspects that define the game. Raiding, defending gyms, and trading are also quite vital to increase the intractability of the game. Upon a closer look, all of these side factors also support the catching-them-all thesis, since youll need to use them to complete your Pokédex in a faster and more efficient way.

During the Pokémon franchises earlier days, players needed extra cables to connect their devices together for trading and battling with each other. Trading in Pokémon Go is much easier, however.

Despite making trading more accessible for the player base, Niantic still introduced some measures to retain the rarity of geographically exclusive Pokémon. Youll only be able to trade players within 7.4 miles or 12 kilometers. Trading isnt free, either, since youll need to spare some Stardust to cover the costs.

Heres how much youll be paying for each trade in Pokémon Go.

Trading costs depend heavily on the friendship level between you and the person youre trying to trade with. If you can increase your friendship level, youll pay less Stardust fees.

Pokemon Go Trading is now available to everyone who has passed level 10 and is ready to swap their Friend codes with other players.

The new system is pretty robust and comes with some essential rules that can’t be bypassed.

These have been put in place by Niantic to stop players abusing the system, something thats already a problem with spoofers and bots.

So while fans cant expect to see a worldwide trading network springing up anytime soon, there are some pretty cool new features to try out.

The new friends list will give players a chance to trade with other Trainers

Trading comes with some rules though, which govern how many trades can be performed in a day, and how much it will cost to complete the swap.

Every trade requires that you and your trading partner spend some Stardust.

Different Pokémon require different amounts of Stardust. Generally, the more desirable the Pokémon , the more Stardust is required to trade.

You can lower this amount by increasing your Friendship Level with your trading partner.

POKEMON GO TRADING COSTS

As mentioned above, different Pokemon will cost different amounts, based on what type they are, and how good a friend you are with the trader.

The same rate is in place for Legendary Pokemon.
