Pokemon Go Shiny Pokemon Checklist: All Available Shinies Listed

ARE THERE SHINY POKEMON? HOW MANY POKEMON IN NEW POKEMON SNAP? (New Pokemon Snap Datamine)

As with pretty much everything in Pokemon Go, the shinies available changes on the regular based on what in-game events are currently taking place. It’s an ever-moving thing, though we’ve got the latest list of every Pokemon Go shiny creature thanks to LeekDuck of Leekduck.com. This image is really handy as it’s actually a physical checklist you can print and mark or mark using an image editor as you go – but if you want the scoop on how to catch each shiny Pokemon, scroll past the image to our text-based list.

On the list below, we’ve compiled every shiny Pokemon that can be naturally caught in the wild and listed it. We haven’t listed any evolutions available on this list directly: to get a shiny Ivysaur, for instance, you must get a shiny Bulbasaur first and evolve it twice. As such, on this list we’ve only noted how to catch shiny Bulbasaur.

Crown Tundra: Dynamax Adventures Shiny Rate

Catching shinies is even easier for players who have access to the Sword and Shield Expansion Pass. You’ll be able to visit a snowy region known as the Crown Tundra. Within the caves of a snow-topped mountain, players join together to battle against several Dynamax Pokémon one after the other until finally culminating in a battle against a Legendary Pokémon.

Okay, yeah.

Michael

I myself have caught a shiny while participating in the Dynamax Adventures with a Shiny Charm. One thing to note is that the Pokémon don’t appear shiny until the battles are completely over. So when you get to that page where you only get to choose one Pokémon to keep, you’re going to want to check all of the Pokémon you caught along the way to see if any have unique coloring.

Do Shiny Pokmon Perform Differently In Pokmon Go

Nope. Shiny Pokémon have the same stats as non-Shiny variants. Which is to say, a range. You can catch a perfect Shiny Magikarp, but you can also catch a not-so-great one. They also have no special movesets or powers of any kind. Aside from looking different, they’re exactly the same.

However, Community Day is the easiest time to catch Shiny Pokémon. If evolved during the event window, Shiny Pokémon will get the exclusive move just like the normal featured Pokémon, so a lot of Shiny Pokémon do have that exclusive move.

How To Get Shiny Pokemon In Pokemon Go

If you’ve been playing Pokemon Go for a long time and never stumbled across a shiny, don’t be surprised. The Pokemon Go shiny odds are roughly 1 in 450. This means that every time you tap on a Pokemon to catch it in Pokemon Go – if it has a shiny version – there is a 1 in 450 chance it will be shiny.

However, these odds are dramatically increased on Pokemon Go Community Day to 1 in 25. Community Day happens once a month in Pokemon Go, when a specific Pokemon will flood the streets and appear almost everywhere. Along with the other benefits usually found during Community Day, Pokemon Go shinies become much more popular and you’d have to be considerably unlucky to not find a shiny during Community Day.

You won’t know if you’ve found a shiny Pokemon or not until you tap on it and enter the encounter. If the colour change is subtle, you’ll also know you’ve found a shiny if a bunch of sparks fly out from the Pokemon before you throw the first ball. Once you’ve caught a Pokemon Go shiny, you can search for “shiny” in your list of Pokemon to show you your full Pokemon Go shiny list.

But It Still Offers The Ultimate Catch Em All Experience

How Many Shiny Pokémon Do I Have? My Complete Shiny ...

Even if combat became central to Pokémon GO, the game still offers the ultimate Catch em All experience. There are six generations of Pokémon in the game already, and the recently added Galar page on the Pokédex is a clear indication that new critters will soon be released. So, it shouldnt take long before Pokémon GO becomes the only game in the franchise where you can fill your Pokédex without going through the hell of transferring creatures between different systems that all work in unique ways.

Also, Pokémon GO doesnt demand you to have both a Nintendo Switch and a Nintendo DS to complete your collection. All you need is a phone capable of running the game. As cellphone technology keeps improving, even cheap models can handle Pokémon GO pretty wellalthough Niantic really needs to double-check those data and energy consumption rates. Video games are expensive, especially in some parts of the globe; since we all must have cellphones anyway, for other communication reasons, its great that we can actually play a Pokémon game legally without compromising our monthly pay.

Are Shiny Pokmon Shiny For Everyone In Pokmon Go

No. With Ditto, once a Pokémon is determined to be Ditto, the servers make it Ditto for everyone. With Shiny Pokémon, it’s done on a player-by-player basis.

That means you and a friend can both catch the same Magikarp, yours could turn out to be Shiny, and theirs not.

There has been one exception so far: For the July 2018 Community Day, Pokémon Go had Sunglasses Squirtle available through Field Research and, tasks that had a Shiny Sunglasses Squritle were Shiny for everyone!

Pokemon Go Shiny List

Catching a shiny Pokemon is a highlight for any trainer as theyre so rare, with only a 1 in 450 chance that a Pokemon you catch will be a shiny if it even has a shiny version, as not all of them do. As for how GO is making so much money? While Niantic doesnt break down exactly what its selling, I am absolutely convinced that the majority of its revenue comes from raid passes, which allow for infinite raiding of special event legendaries and other rare Pokémon in raids. Raid hours now have people try to get as many big-time raids in as possible in a limited time, and that means buying however many raid passes it takes to get the job done. Hence, more revenue.

Pokémon GO is not going anywhere, at least not with this level of investment Niantic is putting into it, and the investment on the players side as well, given how much time theyve put into building their Pokedex at this point. For many, GO is now more compelling than the handheld games ever were, or its their first Pokémon experience period, and theyre beyond hooked.

Halloween Bulbasaur Charmander And Squirtle

Why Its Rare: Release Date: Generation and Pokédex Number: Appearance Rate:

The original starter Pokémon Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle are some of the most iconic and popular Pokémon ever, besides Pikachu. For Halloween 2019, Pokémon Go dressed up Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle for the first time. Bulbasaur donned a Shedninja costume, Charmander wore a Cubone costume, and Squirtle had a Yamask hat. During the event, from October 17 to November 1, 2019, Shiny versions of each of the costumed starters were also available. The costumed cuties returned for Halloween 2020, but its not a sure thing that theyll return again in 2021. So players may have already missed out on nabbing the Shiny costumed starters.

What Are The Odds Of Finding A Shiny Pokmon In Pokmon Go

How many cards are there of shiny Pokemon that arent ...

Currently, most estimate Shiny encounters outside of events at 1/400, but during events the chances are much higher, sometimes even as high as 1/20. Even outside of events, however, this is a dramatic increase from the 1/4096 base rate in core games, or 1/512 using both the Masuda Method and a Shiny Charm.

That having been said, It’s still random, so you can get a Shiny right away, or it might take you two or even three times as long as someone else. Your best bet to finding Shiny Pokémon is to tap on every single Pokémon that spawns.

Shiny Pokémon are special versions of a Pokémon with a different coloration. Unlike the main series games, shinies in Pokémon GO are much more common – the standard rate is believed to be around 1 in 500 . Many Pokémon have an even higher shiny rate: some perma-boosted Pokémon are around a 1/60 chance; most legendaries in raids are around 1/20 chance; and on Community Days, where one Pokémon appears everywhere in the wild, the shiny rate is around 1/25.

However, in Pokémon GO not every Pokémon can be shiny. When the game first launched no shinies were available. Over time, more and more Pokémon have become shiny-eligible. In most cases only the base form may be shiny in the wild – for example a Ratatta found in the wild could be shiny, but its evolution Raticate cannot. Sometimes those higher evos can be shiny in special raid events , and since the introduction of Mega Evolutions any Pokémon whose Mega has been released can be shiny, like Blastoise or Beedrill.

Below we display every shiny Pokémon sprite that is in Pokémon GO. You can compare with the Pokémon’s non-shiny sprite by tapping or hovering your mouse over it. Pokémon marked with a star* next to the name have had their shiny released. In total there are 529 shiny Pokémon available in the game.

Pokmon Sword And Shield: How To Catch Shiny Pokmon

For those who don’t know already, shiny Pokémon are rare, alternately-colored creatures that appear in the Pokémon series. Sometimes shinies are super obvious, like the case of the sheep Pokémon Wooloo whose normal form has white fleece but has a shiny variant with black fleece. However, others are far more subtle, like how a shiny Pikachu only has a slightly different shade of yellow.

Usually, your chances of running into a shiny Pokemon are 1/4096, which makes spotting one unlikely. Pokémon Sword and Shield also introduced “super shiny” Pokémon that are even rarer. Luckily, you don’t have to stick with those low chances as there are several ways to boost the likelihood of seeing a shiny. Here’s how to catch shiny Pokémon in Sword and Shield, including those super rare square shinies.

Pokémon Sword

Pokémon Shield

Pokemon Go Shinies: How To Get Shiny Pokemon And Other Advice

Okay, so, you want Shiny Pokemon. Well… keep in mind, it’s difficult. Shiny Pokemon are supposed to be rare, and so that means that they’re extraordinarily difficult to find. If you’ve been trying to track down a rare Pokemon in the wild such as a Ditto, imagine that spawn rate but drastically reduced.

Typically, Pokemon Go shiny Pokemon come to you through one of a few different ways:

  • In the Wild: Some shiny Pokemon appear in the wild, and any time you encounter a wild Pokemon of that type there is a tiny, tiny chance that Pokemon could come out as a shiny.
  • At Gym Raids: Other shinies are only found during Pokemon Go Raids – so when you win a raid encounter at a gym, there’s a chance the Pokemon you’ll be able to catch afterwards could be shiny.
  • From Eggs: Some shiny Pokemon are exclusive to eggs – so you might get lucky when you hatch a Pokemon egg.
  • From Community Days: The monthly Pokemon Go Community days always offer up a limited number of increased spawns for the chosen Pokemon – and that usually includes a bonus to the shiny spawn rate.
  • From Field Research:Pokemon Go’s Field Research system often offers encounters as a reward – and some of those encounters have a chance to be shiny.

Catching shiny Pokemon in the wild is hugely rare, and there’s no real way to game that. With that said, there’s some additional tips you should be aware of when considering how to catch shinies:

How Many Pokemon Are There Now? Spoiler: It’s MORE Than You Think!

Thankfully, Generation 5 redeems;Pokémon after a generation of terrible Shinies. However, the Unova region has its own disappointing variants. The Pan/Simi line of monkey;Pokémon are pretty weird designs to begin with, and their Shiny forms don’t help;any. Instead of muted colors, each duo could have swapped colors with another. Pan/Simisage could have been blue, Pan/Simisear could have been green, and Pan/Simipour could have been red.

Basculin is the Gen 5 generic fish;Pokémon, and its Shiny form also matches that description. There are also two different forms of Basculin which still don’t add much variety to the;Pokémon, but the Shiny forms could have played off this. The stripes for the different forms could have been changed to at least make the Shiny forms a little more worth hunting.

What Are Ivs & Evs

Pokémon’s stats are not just the base stats that you can find online. Each individual Pokémon also has its own set of Individual Values and Effort Values . It’s a complicated process to explain what these values are, but they’re basically a unique set of values that influence how that particular individual levels up.

IVs are like human or animal genes. They’re inherent to that individual from birth and are basically the unchanging potential a Pokémon has in each of its stats. EVs are like points that a Pokémon earns through various efforts that are applied toward each stat. The amount of EVs in a stat a Pokémon earns affects how much that stat goes up by when the Pokémon levels up.
