Getting Nosepass In Pokemon Go

How to evolve Magneton & Nosepass

First off, before you can actually get the Pokemon to evolve, youll need to capture it. As a Rock-type creature, Nosepass is actually pretty easy to find.

In both urban and rural areas, your chances of getting a Nosepass to appear seem to be pretty regular, and it shouldnt take too long for you to encounter one like any other regular, Normal-type Pokemon.

Once you see Nosepass appear on your screen, simply tap on it and swipe on your screen to throw a Poke Ball to try to catch it. Youll want to catch as many of this creature as possible, as youll need enough Candy for it to evolve later on.

Well you gotta catchem all, right?

Adding Magnezone to your collection will go a long way, but there are definitely more popular Pokemon you can get with the new Lure Modules.

For example, you can evolve Eevee to Glaceon or Leafeon.

Magnezone is an Electric and Steel-type Pokemon with a max CP of 3205, 238 attack, 205 defence and 172 stamina.

Originally found in the Sinnoh region, it is vulnerable to Fighting, Fire and Ground-type moves.

As you can imagine, theyre useful for catching lots of Pokémon quickly but did you know that the special lures also exclusively unlock evolutions that stand in the way of catching them all? We reveal all in this guide to Pokémon GOs lures.

How To Evolve Probopass And Magnezone In ‘pokmon Go’

Probopass

Things are mighty complicated with this new drop of Gen-4 creatures in Pokémon GO. Not only do we have some new semi-branching evolutions, we’ve got a whole new suite of lure modules that attract particular kinds of Pokémon as well as cause others to evolve. We’ve already been over Leafon and Glaceon, but read on to find out how to evolve your Nosepass and Magneton into Probopass and Magnezone.

The method for evolving Probopass and Magnezone is the same as evolving Leafeon or Glaceon. First off, you’ll need a magnetic lure module. The easiest way to get one is just to buy it in the store, and then drop it on the Pokéstop of your choosing. You need to go within range of the Pokéstop and then select either Magneton or Nosepass: you’ll get a new evolution option that will allow you to evolve them one step further so long as you have enough candies.

You don’t technically need to buy the magnetic lure module. Someone does, I should say, but it doesn’t need to be you. You can use other people’s lure modules, just like normal lure modules, so you could either coax a friend into buying one or go into a populated area and hope someone else has done so: Community Day is a good day for that.

But we gotta catch ’em all. In my case, that means grumbling about microtransactions even as I make them. Which I have to imagine is a fairly common experience.

How To Evolve Nosepass In Pokmon Go

Nosepass pre evolution by HappyHippowdon on DeviantArt

Of the third generation of Pokémon, Nosepass was definitely one of my favorites. I love Pokémon inspired by occult and esoteric stuff, and theres just something adorable about a little walking Moai head with a huge schnoz. His evolution into Probopass in gen 4 got some mixed reactions, but personally I loved the bushy mustache and little mini noses. If youve been missing that stache, heres how you can evolve your Nosepass into Probopass in Pokémon GO.

In the gen 4 Pokémon games, Nosepass needed to be in the presence of a special magnetic field like Chargestone Cave or Mt. Coronet to evolve into Probopass. That same principle applies in Pokémon GO, but unlike Sinnoh or Unova, I sure dont know of special magnetic fields out here in the real world. Luckily, you can make your own.

Using A Lure To Evolve Nosepass In Pokemon Go

The item that players need to evolve Nosepass is a lure. However, it just can’t be any lure that players would typically get. It has to be a Magnetic Lure, which is a sub type of lure in Pokemon GO.

Magnetic Lures in Pokemon GO will attract Electric, Steel, and Rock-type Pokemon to the area. Players need to be in range of a Pokestop, where they can then choose the option to pop a lure at the stop. The option to choose a Magnetic Lure will be given as long as the player has one in their inventory. To take advantage of the lure, players need to be in range because they don’t act entirely like normal incense.

Once players are in the range of the Magnetic Lure at Pokestop, the options will change for Nosepass on the stats screen. The typical shadow of an evolution can be found, which is the next form of Nosepass called Probopass. Players will need 50 total Nosepass candies to complete the evolution, or else the Magnetic Lure won’t be enough.

Players can buy Magnetic Lures in the Pokemon GO shop for coins, which can be purchased or earned through holding gyms in the game. However, they can also be earned through some of the special research tasks that all players get in Pokemon GO. Earning the lure for Nosepass will take longer, but most of the challenges aren’t very difficult.

Pokemon Go: How To Evolve Nosepass Into Probopass

With the upcoming Searching for Legends event heavily featuring Nosepass, it seemed like a good time to remind trainers how to obtain their very own Probopass in Pokemon Go!

Nosepass is a bit of an odd pokemon design, I mean its a head on legs with magnet arms and a giant red nose. But hey, its a funny design at least.

For those players interested in completing their Pokedex however, Nosepass is a bit of a curious entry as with the mainline games Nosepass definitely have an evolution into Probopass, but Pokemon Go doesnt show an evolution button on Nosepass when selected.

Luckily, this isnt a weird case of not being able to evolve your nosepass at all. Its just Nosepass has another evolution requirement outside of the usual 50 candy, and the button only appears when that requirement is met.

If you dont have one available, other players can use them on a Pokestop for you, and if thats not an option, you can buy one for 200 coins at the shop. Its a bit steep, but it is a reliable option.

Be aware that there is also a proximity requirement, so if it isnt showing up its possible you are too far away.

If you meet that requirement and the proximity need, the button will appear as normal and youll be able to obtain your very own Probopass provided you have enough candy to feed the giant magnet nose. At which point your Nosepass will evolve into what youve seen above.

Frankly, Im not entirely sure that Probopass is an improvement over Nosepass in the looks department, but hey, these are the things we do for Pokedex Progress.

How to EVOLVE NOSEPASS & MAGNETON in Pokemon GO

As in the Sinnoh region, whose Mount Corona radiates a magnetism that allows Pokémon such as Nosepass in Probopass and Magneton in Magnezone to evolve in the games of the main saga, in Pokémon GO that idea has been transferred with the particularity that, to evolve them, it is necessary to have a Magnetic Bait Module . Thanks to the In Search of Legends event we can get one after finishing the investigation, but it can also be purchased.

To evolve into Probopass you will need a Magnetic Lure module. Players can get this by buying one at the store for 200 Pokecoins .

If you don’t want to spend money, Magnetic Lures will cost four days worth of Pokécoins from defending gyms.

Once you have a Magnetic Lure in your possession, simply touch the Pokestop you’re at and add it to the location.

Then, in your Nosepass info screen, you should have the option to evolve – something that isn’t there if you’re not in range of a Lure. Note: you have to spin the Pokestop first.

Magnetic Lures: How To Evolve Nosepass Into Probopass / How To Evolve Magneton Into Magnezone

A couple of conditions conspire to make Magnezone and Probopass two of the easiest to miss Pokémon in Pokémon GO. Firstly, they do not appear in sequence with their pre-evolutions in the Pokédex. Secondly, they are unique in that if you look at a Magneton or Nosepass Pokémon page, theres no button hinting that they can evolve.

In fact, this evolution button will only appear when you stand near a Pokéstop with an active Magnetic Lure. Before you rush out and drop a magnetic lure, its also worth knowing that you will need 100 Magnemite and 50 Nosepass candies for each evolution we recommend saving up for both before you drop the lure.
