How To Find The Iron Will Grasslands And Cavern Pokmon
To find the Iron Will, Grasslands, and Cavern Pokémon in the Crown Tundra, youll need to hunt across Lakeside Cave, Frigid Sea, and Giants Bed, looking for tiny footprints on the ground. Find 50 prints in all three areas to catch all of these Pokémon, and unlock the chance to meet Keldeo in the Crown Tundra.
To start this mission, talk to Sonia in Freezington. Shell tell you about the Pokémon tracks and send you to explore the areas.
The tracks are hard to spot and appear at random, so it will take a while to find enough, but once youve found 50 prints belonging to one of the Pokémon, youll get a chance to catch either Terrakion, Cobalion, or Virizon.

How To Catch Keldeo In Pokmon Sword And Shields The Crown Tundra
Keldeo is in Pokemon Sword and Shield’s The Crown Tundra DLC
To find Keldeo, you first have to catch the other three members of the Swords of Justice aka Cobalion, Terrakion and Virizion scattered around The Crown Tundra.
To find the other three members, you have to collect various scattered footprints across different areas of the map.
For Cobalion, head to the Roaring Sea Caves and Frigid Sea area and collect 50 footprints to complete the data investigation 100%. Once completed, Cobalion will appear in the Frigid Sea for you to catch.
For Terrakion, do the same footprint search but in the Lakeside Cave and Ballimere Lake areas. Terrakion will appear in the Lakeside Cave once completed.
For Virizion, perform the same task but in the Giants Bed area to make the Pokémon appear.
Head to this island on Ballimere Lake and make a curry
Once you have all three, head to a small island in Ballimere Lake where theres an empty pot under a tree. With Cobalion, Terrakion and Virizion in your party, set up camp and make a curry on the island.
Once youve made any curry of your choosing, Keldeo will appear. Just head over to the Pokémon to start a battle to capture it. Keldeo will be at level 65.
Keldeo is a Water/Fighting type Pokémon who comes with moves, Secret Sword, Sacred Sword, Swords Dance and Hydro Pump.

How To Catch Keldeo
To get Keldeo, you will need one of each of the Swords of Justice in your party. These legendary Pokémon are found in Gen 5 onwards and are a dual Fighting-types: Cobalion is part Steel-type, Terrakion is part Rock-type, and Virizion is part Grass-type.
Once you have all three in your party, and have talked to Sonia to turn in all three Swords of Justice, head to Ballimere Lake in The Crown Tundras Wild Area. There is a small island in the lake with an empty pot which now has footprints. Set up camp here and make a curry to have Keldeo appear.
Keldeo Can’t Be Traded On Gts
Pokémon Home has a function called the GTS that lets players from all over the world request Pokémon trades. Sadly, Keldeo’s Mythical status blocks it from being traded over the GTS. If someone attended multiple Keldeo events and wants to trade you one, they’ll need to do it directly via Friend Trade.

Pokemon Sword & Shield has finally come to a close with the release of the Crown Tundra. There is currently no announcement for more DLC to come to the game in the future and it is fairly unlikely. Game Freak will likely push towards developing a new Pokemon title rather than going back to the Galar region. Although, the DLC has been a massive treat for fans of the region. Hopefully, this will be the method for distributing new content in the future.
Pokemon: Crown Tundra DLC is available now on Nintendo Switch.
How To Catch Keldeo In Pokmon Sword And Shield Crown Tundra Explained
The Keldeo you encounter in the Crown Tundra DLC will be level 65 and is a water and fighting-type Pokémon.
Keldeo is weak against fairy, flying, grass, electric and psychic-type Pokémon.
Before you attempt to catch Keldeo, make sure that you’ve brought healing items for your team and enough PokéBalls we recommend around 50 Ultra Balls just to be safe, but you can always use a Master Ball for a guaranteed catch. Just remember – you can’t buy more Master Balls!
You should also take the time to organise your team, especially since you, while you need Cobalion, Terrakion and Virizion in your team to find Keldeo, you don’t need them to battle it. This means that you can easily switch out these legendary Pokémon for your preferred team.
Though, if you want to keep one, we’d recommend Virizion, because, as long as it’s level is close to 65, it’s Leaf Blade attack will cause excellent opening damage to Keldeo.
For your team, we recommend having a couple of Pokémon that are around level 65 and have an advantage over Keldeo. This will allow you to cause quick and effective damage, with a reduced risk of knocking Keldeo out.
The rest of your team should be filled with higher level Pokémon that are not weak against Keldeo, so that they can act as a buffer while you throw PokéBalls. Ghost-type Pokémon are great buffer options as the majority of Keldeo’s attacks don’t work on them, so, if you’re lucky, you can easily throw PokéBalls without taking any damage.

Best Movesets For Keldeo
Keldeos speed and special attack are its high points and with high speed, it has the ability to be a good set-up Pokemon. With Calm Mind, it can double or triple its damage easily and use whatever move it wants to sweep opponents.
Offensive: Keldeo can really do some damage on its own, especially when given Choice Specs to boost its damage. This may restrict its moves but with strong moves like Hydro Pump and Secret Sword combined with Icy Wind, to slow down enemies, it makes it a lethal attacking Pokemon.
Catching The Mythical Keldeo
Keldeo will be ready to battle once you walk closer to the Pokémon. Make sure to save the game before fighting. If the Pokémon faints, you may not have a chance to catch it. Once you are stocked up on Pokéballs, begin the battle with Keldeo.
Keldeo is a Water and Fighting-type Pokémon. This type of matchup has five weaknesses Electricity, Grass, Flying, Psychic, and Fairy. Keldeo will be level 65 and have around 200 HP. For my battle, I used Appletun to weaken down the hit points. Keldeo will use the moves Secret Sword, Sacred Sword, Sword Dance, and Hydro Pump.
