The stones needed to evolve Eevee into these five Eeveelutions can be found on the ground in various locations throughout the region.

Where To Find And Get An Eevee In Pokemon Sword And Shield
If you want to catch an Eevee in order to add one of the Eevee Evolutions to your team, you’re going to need to find one first. It’s a Galar Region native, but that doesn’t mean it’s particularly common: in fact, in both games Eevee only spawns in one location, on Route 4.
You’ll want to search inside the yellowed grass you find on Route 4, keeping an eye out for Eevee’s very recognizable ears. Eevee is one of the rarer spawns on Route 4, so it might take you a while to locate one in the wild.
If you don’t want to search for one on Route 4, there are a few other options. For one, you can encounter Eevee as an enemy in Max Raid Battles out in the wild area.
Secondly, there’s a free Eevee available as part of a cross-promotion with the previous Pokemon release on Switch, Pokemon Let’s Go. If you had the Eevee edition of that game and have a save game present on your Switch, head to the wild area train station. Look for two kids in the corner – they will let you pick up your bonus. Saves from the Pikachu version of the game will get you a unique Pikachu, while a save from the Eevee edition will, naturally, get you an Eevee.
These two bonus Pokemon are designed to be Dynamaxed into a unique form of both Pikachu and Eevee – but they’re one way to grab an Eevee in Sword and Shield if you’re struggling over on route 4. Keep in mind that this Eevee cannot be evolved. Once you have one Eevee, it might be wise to combine it with a Ditto at the daycare to breed yourself more.

You can evolve Eevee yourself or catch its evolutions in the Wild Area here’s where to find them.
Pokemon Sword and Shield introduce a variety of new Gen 8 Pokemon to the series, and much like previous games, many of these monsters–like Applin and Milcery–can only evolve using specific methods. However, the Switch games also introduce a couple of new ways to evolve old Pokemon–specifically Eevee, which you can catch fairly early on in your adventure at Route 4, just outside Turffield.
In past Pokemon titles, you could only obtain Glaceon or Leafeon by traveling to a specific location and leveling your Eevee up, but Sword and Shield have simplified this process by letting you evolve it using elemental stones. That isn’t the only way you can obtain Eevee evolutions in the new Pokemon games, either. Below we’ve rounded up all the ways you can get Eevee evolutions in Pokemon Sword and Shield.
Pokmon Sword And Shield Eevee Friendship Evolutions
All of the following evolutions of Eevee are based on how friendly you are with your Eevee. You can increase your friendliness with Eevee over time by picking them in your party often, or by setting up a Pokémon Camp to cook nourishing curries and play with toys with them. Theres no meter to tell you how much your Pokémon likes you, but a young boy in a house next to Hammerlockes Pokémon Center will be able to tell you. In that same house, you can get a Soothe Bell and use it as a held item to make your Eevee even friendlier with you.
Espeon You can evolve Eevee into Espeon in Pokémon Sword and Shield by making sure they are very friendly with you and by levelling them up in the daytime. Change your Switchs time settings to make it day in-game if you are playing at night. Use a Rare Candy if you want them to level up even quicker than farming.
UmbreonYou can evolve Eevee into Umbreon in Pokémon Sword and Shield by making sure they are very friendly with you and by levelling them up in the nighttime. Change your Switchs time settings to make it night in-game if you are playing in the day. Use a Rare Candy if you want them to level up even quicker than farming.
Dont forget that you can also give Eevee an Everstone if you never want it to evolve in sword and Shield.

How To Breed Eevee
If youve got your heart set on a shiny Eevee or want them to have a certain ability, move, or nature, your best bet to breed your own using the Pokémon Daycares located on Route 5 and in the Wild Area.
To do this, drop off your Eevee with another one belonging to the opposite gender or a Ditto and walk around until they make an egg. If either Pokémon has the desired nature you wish to pass on, have that one hold an Everstone prior to placing them in the Daycare.
Depending on which ability you want your Eeveelution to have, youll either want to use an Eevee with the ability Run Away/Adaptability or Anticipation . Breeding with a Pokémon who has a hidden ability will increase your chances of passing that ability down.

Which Is The Best Eevee Evolution
Alright, you now know the tricks to get the evolution you want, which one should you choose to evolve your Eevee into? Below are the stats of each type to help you decide. Is it about the look, the ability to defend or inflict damage?
The table above shows that Espeon, Glaceon, and Vaporeon have the highest max XP while Espeon and Glaceon have high attacks. Vaporeon has the highest stamina and it is also the evolution most players would point to as being the strongest. It is a solid water-type that rivals a lot of the harder-to-get Pokemon and is only outclassed by Pokemon like Kyogre and Gyarados.
Leafeon and Glaceon are both solid in several scenarios, especially if you dont have a better grass-type or ice-type. They can do a decent amount of damage and take some hits, making them a solid pick for raids and certain team compositions. Umbreon, despite its low attacks, is very good defensively.
Flareon, Jolteon, and Espeon, on the other hand, are all outclassed by a good chunk of Pokemon of their type and dont offer much to mitigate the stat deficits against the likes of Entei, Zapdos, or Mewtwo. Once Sylveon is added to Pokemon Go it might take the crown as the best overall Eeveeloution.
