It can be a little confusing to figure out which games are compatible and where you can move your Pokémon, so weve put together a handy guide to help you figure out where to start.

But before we get started, there are a couple of things you should know.

Firstly, there are two versions of Pokémon Home. One is for Nintendo Switch, and one is for mobile, and the features they contain are slightly different. If you link the same Nintendo Account to both, then youll be able to see the same Pokémon Boxes on both.

Secondly, theres both a free and a paid subscription version of Pokémon Home. The main differences are outlined below.

How To Make Pokemon Go Friends

The first step towards Pokemon Go trading – once you’ve gone beyond Trainer Level 10 of course – is to actually become friends within the game. To do this, you need to go to your Trainer section, and hit the Friends tab. From here, tap the “add Friend” button to bring up your own Trainer Code. You’ll need to share this with anyone you want to be friends with in Pokemon Go, or grab the 12-digit Trainer Code number of any of your friends that play Pokemon Go and add them to your game.

When someone adds you to their Friends list, you’ll get a notification within the Friends tab. You can then just accept – or reject – that request to become Pokemon Go friends.

Traded Pokémon also gain experience points in battle faster, but you cant change a traded Pokémons nickname if you received it via trade.

You have two options when trading with your friends in Pokémon Sword and Shield:

  • You can trade locally with those who are physically nearby
  • You can trade Pokémon online with those who are farther away. This option requires a Nintendo Online subscription, though.

You and your friend will have to type the same eight-digit code to connect and trade with one another. After youve set an eight-digit code, close the menu and wait to be connected. Pokemon Go Evolution Trades

While there’s some Pokemon in the core games that require a trade in order to evolve, that functionality has been noticeably missing from Pokemon Go until a recent update. Now, all Pokemon that evolve via trade in the main games also have the option in Pokemon Go, alongside a candy requirement. This includes Pokemon old and new, so for example Graveler now evolves into Golem through either 100 Geodude candy or trading with another trainer. It looks like new Pokemon with this function need 200 candy, whereas existing ones haven’t had their candy requirement changed.

Pokemon 4th Gen: Is There A Way To Trade Pokemon On Emulator After Gts Shutdown

I am playing Pokemon Diamond on Desmume and have a few Pokemon in my team that can only be evolved through trading. For the guides I found online that teach how to do trading using a emulator, all of them involves simulating a wifi connection and connect to GTS. However, GTS has been shutdown for generation IV already. So this method is no longer working.

I heard that if I have 2 real NDS in a close range , I can still trade Pokemon on generation IV by using friend code. Is this true? And how can I simulate that using emulator ?

Read more information about the current state of DeSmuME’s Wi-Fi support. Right now, it’s an experimental feature, which means it is unsupported.

If you are an end-user, then we strongly discourage the use of Wi-Fi. However, as an end-user, if you really want to use Wi-Fi that badly, then you are on your own. In that case, any posts on our forums about Wi-Fi being used by end-users for end-user applications will be ignored. Also, any submissions to any of our SourceForge trackers under the same conditions will be immediately closed without further consideration. When we say that Wi-Fi is unsupported, we mean it.

Short answer: no, it’s currently not possible, at least, not with DeSmuMe.

I googled around a little, and stumbled on this gbatemp forum thread. I cannot try it, but you might want to give melonDS a try, since it also mentions successful Pokemon Trade.
