I have an issue in that when I went to go to the underground I am told when the game tries to save that there is a pre-existing file which can be deleted at the start menu by pressing up+select+B button. I have tried this and it has not worked. The .sav file for the game is not external and doesn’t show up in the folder so I do not feel confident enough to try to go in myself and delete it for fear of messing up the game. I do have a save state of where I am and want to be in the game so that when I get rid of the hard save file I can save my game and continue as I want to and would really enjoy help with this problem as when I beat the Elite 4 the game will force a save and will then fail and I will be again be unable to progress so I would really enjoy if someone could help me with this problem.

EDIT: I am using the most current version of desmume if that helps at all.

I have a saved .dsv, .ds1, and .dst file for pokemon platinum and in order to advance beyond the elite 4 the game needs to be saved to the actual game, not the emulator. When I try to save, this message comes up, “There is already a saved game file. It is impossible to save. Please refer to the Instruction booklet for details. Press Up + Select + B Button on the title screen if you want erase the current saved game file.”

This error occurs in the non-emulator game if one tries to save after starting a new game and not erasing the previous file. I have erased the saved game data from the the .rar game that i use but when i load a saved file, whether save state 1 or my named saved state, the same result occurs. I have not restarted the game and i began it on 0.9.6.

My guess is that the saved state contains data that i cannot delete due to the fact that from the save state i cannot reach the title screen. Can i get some help on this or do i have to restart the game?
