Super Mario Strikers Is Back

Nintendo Announces the Next Pokemon Direct – IGN News

Marios soccer spinoff is back after a long absence. Nintendo revealed , a sequel to the GameCube original, which looks to include the same wacky gameplay that makes it sort of like but for soccer. It also features support for up to eight players on the same console or via online play. It launches on June 10th.

Pokemon Home & Sleep Get More Details

Pokemon Home is the revamped spiritual successor to the Pokemon Bank, and will bring that same type of service to cloud-based storage. The idea behind it is that players can take Pokemon wherever they go, which is a desirable feature now that Sword & Shield are out on the current generation of consoles. Pokemon Home is scheduled for an early 2020 launch on Switch, Android, and iOS, so it seems like a good time for Nintendo to pull the trigger on some more details.

Pokemon Sleep is the more mysterious of the pair of apps that were announced in May 2019, as it is meant to help monitor sleep and will affect how it plays, whatever gameplay actually looks like. The app will be compatible with Pokemon GO Plus+ and is another attempt at integrating Pokemon into its users daily lives. With so little information currently known about it, a Nintendo Direct presentation that elaborates on the feature some would be a savvy decision from Nintendo, especially if the company has more concrete footage to show on either feature.

Revitalization Of The Company

Following up on his 2002 interview, Iwata highlighted an urgency in the gaming market in his keynote speech at the 2003 . During this speech, he reflected on the history of the industry and concluded with the declining interest in video games. A slump in sales in the Japanese market had begun at the end of the 1990s and continued into the early 2000s. Competition between Nintendo and Sony resulted in increasingly hardware-heavy consoles however, the Nintendo 64 proved to be too cumbersome for developers and software suffered severely. After a year-long analysis conducted at Iwata’s behest, Nintendo concluded that pushing hardware was not the most effective way to promote video games and decided to focus on software. A major internal reorganization of Nintendo took place in 2004, with Iwata consolidating various departments established under Yamauchi. He sought to promote collaborative work throughout the company. He later established a “User Expansion Project” in 2005 whereby employees normally not associated with game development would submit ideas for new games.

What Was The Longest Nintendo Direct

The longest general Nintendo Direct aired on Wednesday, February 17th, 2021, and was a whopping 50 minutes and 45 seconds long. Nintendo Switch Oled Model Announcement Trailer

If you’re a fan of the series, the good news is an announcement on Xenoblade Chronicles 3 could be imminent.

Samus Hunter posted: “You know that I’m following the updates on #MonolithSoft developed games, even before all the other. I want to update on something that you can find publicly. Monolith Soft site has updated this morning with new graphics and icon, but the more interesting thing is that they now removed the page dedicated to the recruitment of the Xenoblade team . What does that mean?

“In late 2020 I reported that their next game was in a good state with the main cutscene finalised.

“In mid 2021 they started the soundtrack recording then followed by the confirmation of Mitsuda and ACE composers. Mitsuda also teased that one of the project that he worked, might get announced this month. Given that one of their game is planned for this year, there are lots of things that lines up for an announcement in the coming weeks.”

And there’s reason to hope one unannounced Nintendo Switch game could get revealed during February, possibly during a February 2022 Nintendo Direct.

I know that there are a lot of people that are eager to find when the next #NintendoDirect is scheduled. Well, I’m hearing some announcement scheduled and launch period for games that right know makes me confident to say that it should arrive before last February direct

The First Nintendo Direct Of 202: Surprises And Revivals

Last Thursday, Feb. 9, Nintendo aired their first Nintendo Direct of the year. The 40-minute pre-recorded news presentation featured a variety of announcements focused on games coming to the Nintendo Switch in the first half of 2022.

The Direct opened with the announcement of Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes, a spin-off of Fire Emblem: Three Houses and the second entry in the Fire Emblem Warriors subseries. In contrast to the signature strategic turn-based gameplay of Fire Emblem, the Fire Emblem Warriors subseries focuses on hack-and-slash action combat. Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes is set to launch on June 24.

An announcement for Mario Strikers: Battle League followed. The third entry in the Mario Strikers series, Mario Strikers: Battle League will have Mario and his friends competing in chaotic Mushroom Kingdom soccer for the first time since 2007. The game launches on June 10. Another sports game came in the form of Nintendo Switch Sports, the sequel to Wii Sports, which will launch on April 29, with a free update in the fall adding in the ability to play golf.

This Nintendo Direct expanded on popular franchises while giving lesser-known games a second chance at life, and made for a particularly exciting day for fans of the RPG genre.

What Nintendo Could Announce In The Next Pokemon Direct

Nintendo’s next Pokemon Direct is scheduled for later this week – could fans finally get more info on Pokemon Home or Pokemon Sleep, or is there more?

Nintendo’s next Pokemon Direct has been revealed for later this week, and fans are already speculating that it could be the long awaited information about Pokemon Home and Pokemon Sleep, two projects that were announced during a past direct in May 2019. Nintendo’s Pokemon Direct presentations usually have some major info about the future of the franchise, and with Pokemon Sword & Shield fully launched, there’s a distinct chance that the next string of announcements will bypass that iteration altogether in favor of teasing what’s on the horizon.

Of course, Pokemon Sword & Shield are still very much a part of Nintendo’s plans, with content updates planned and online support that has brought many fans together for the games’ raiding feature. Despite the National Dex controversy that saw many fans swear off the game entirely due to a perceived slight from developer Game Freak, Pokemon Sword & Shield sales have been impressive, buoyed by the fact that the Nintendo Switch is one of the most desirable and family friendly consoles available on the market. It wouldn’t be much of a surprise to see Nintendo continue to focus on Sword & Shield either, then, though if the Direct is entirely about those games, there will likely be something unexpected as part of it.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild sits atop IGNs best games of all time list, and Nintendos E3 2019 Direct revealed that a sequel was currently in development. Despite us only seeing one more trailer from the game since this reveal, the excitement for this next chapter continues to make it one of the most anticipated games out there.

The sequel news may have been a good surprise, but an unfortunate one was the delay of Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Delays are usually for the best, and Animal Crossing: New Horizons push was no different, as it has now gone on to sell over 37 million units.

We were also treated to not one, but two Super Smash Bros. Ultimate DLC fighter reveals in Banjo-Kazooie and Dragon Quests Hero, a release date for The Legend of Zelda: Links Awakening remake, Dragon Quest 11 S, and Luigis Mansion 3, the confirmation that The Witcher 3 was headed to Switch, No More Heroes 3, and much more.
