Where To Find Bulbasaur In Pokmon: Let’s Go

Where To Find Charmander In Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu & Eevee

Pokémon trainers can find Bulbasaur very early in Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu, and Eevee, and they can even get their hands on the initial Pokémon from the Viridian Forest along Route 2.

This is one of the first big areas you need to explore in Pokémon: Let’s Go, and it’s an area that you’ll need to cover on your journey. Now, the most important thing to keep in mind here is that this Bulbasaur is a rare Pokémon.

Once you enter the Viridian Forest, cross the forest area until you reach the last bend in the path, to the right of the exit. This is one of the best places to look for Bulbasaur, though you can find this iconic Pokémon almost anywhere in the forest. We suggest you cast a Bait to increase your chances of finding Bulbasaur, but it’s not always guaranteed to work, so we’ll leave it up to you.

No matter what you decide, keep checking the path through the Viridiana Forest for a chance to meet a Bulbasaur. This is a great Pokémon to have in your roster and at the beginning of the game, and if you’re a big fan of Pokémon, you’ll still want it in your collection.

‘pokmon Let’s Go: ‘ How To Catch Bulbasaur Charmander And Squirtle

Pokémon Let’s Go Pikachu and Pokémon Let’s Go Eevee are re-tellings of the classic Yellow Version . As such, trainers cannot choose the typical Kanto Region Starter Pokémon Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle to begin their journey.

That doesn’t mean you can’t get them along the way. In Pokémon Yellow Version, just like in the anime, you could get all three Kanto Starters as gifts. It’s the same in Pokémon Let’s Go. But, that’s not the only way to catch the starters.

Of course, you can just transfer them over from Pokémon Go if you have an account but there may be some wild Kant Starters you can come across.

Here’s all the ways you can catch Bulbasaur, Charmander and Squirtle in your Let’s Go adventure.

HOW TO CATCH BULBASAUR

When you reach Cerulean City, head to the house next to the Pokémon Center. You’ll find a female NPC that wants to gift her Bulbasaur to you. However, you’ll need to catch 30 Pokémon first.

This doesn’t mean 30 different species of Pokémon; you can catch 30 Pidgey, it doesn’t matter. Also, Pokémon transferred from Pokémon Go or obtained via trade in-game does not count toward the 30 Pokémon goal.

Wild Bulbasaur can also appear but are very rare and only in the Viridian Forest. You can increase your chance of finding a Bulbasaur by using Lures and Super Lures as well as amassing a Catch Combo, but this only works in this case when catching Bulbasaur. This is the case with Charmander and Squirtle as well.

How To Catch Squirtle In Pokemon Lets Go

Pokemon Let

The water-type Squirtle is the third and last the original starter and the last one you encounter in the wild.

There are only two locations where Squirtle spawns, the first of which is to the left of Nugget Bridge in the patch of grass along the river.

Squirtles second spawn area is much farther into the game, in Seafoam Islands the same spot where you encounter the legendary bird Articuno.

As with the other two starters, you will need to chain a Pokemon combo for Squirtle to spawn.

Your other option is to receive a free Squirtle from a police officer as soon as you enter Vermillion city.

Before this happens, however, you will have to catch at least 60 Pokemon in total.

Squirtle evolves;into Wartortle at level 16 and then Blastoise at level 36.

Then after you defeat all eight Gym leaders, Professor Oak will give you a Key Stone and a Blastoisinite to Mega Evolve your Blastoise in battle.

Squirtle In Pokemon Let’s Go: Squirtle Location For Gift & Wild Encounters

The final of the three starters from the classic games is Squirtle, and Squirtle is the last to show up on Pokemon Let’s Go in either form. You won’t be able to nab Squirtle until one further city in the game, and it won’t appear in the wild until much later. Here’s how it works:

  • To get a Squirtle without catching, you’ll need to reach Vermillion City. You’ll see a Squirtle causing Officer Jenny trouble in Cerulean City, and when you reach Vermillion you’ll see Jenny again – and this time she’s caught the cheeky little Pokemon. She’s willing to give it to you to keep it on the straight and narrow, but she’ll need proof you know what you’re doing – having caught 60 Pokemon should do it.
  • If you want a;wild Squirtle encounter, you will sadly need to wait until some of the later routes in the game out on the islands, where you’ll use Sea Skim to get out onto the water. Look for wild Squirtle on Route 24, Route 25 and the Seafoam Islands area of Kanto. You’ll reach these areas a little later, but the same rules apply – it’s a super rare encounter not mentioned in the Pokedex, and you’ll need to use catch combos and lures to raise your chances of bumping into a Squirtle.

Where To Find Charmander In Pokemon Lets Go

If you want a free Charmander, all you have to do is take Route 24, which is the path north of the city of Cerulean that you reach by crossing the Nugget Bridge. The main story will take you to this place in search of the famous Pokémon fanatic, Bill. On Route 24, directly north of the Nugget Bridge, you will see a coach standing near the hills with a Charmander. Talk to him and you will find that he wants to get rid of the lovely creature. He will ask you to have captured at least 50 Pokémon before delivering Charmander to you.

Charmander also appears rarely in nature. I saw them on Route 4 after the cave, and also at the Rock Tunnel, but this is, again, a rare and infrequent appearance, and we advise you to stock up on lures.

Bulbasaur In Pokemon Let’s Go: Bulbasaur Location For Gift & Wild Encounters

There are two ways to get your hands on a Bulbasaur in Pokemon Let’s Go – one which involves a friendly NPC who’ll simply give you Bulbasaur, and one way which involves catching it in the wild – though the chances there are much more slim.

  • To get a Bulbasaur without catching, you simply need to head to a particular NPC that can be found in Cerulean City. You’ll want a house that’s just to the left of the Pokemon Center – making it nice and easy to find. Head inside and chat to the chap within. He has a Bulbasaur he wants to offload, but he wants a decently experienced trainer. If you’ve caught at least 30 Pokemon , he’ll hand the Bulbasaur over into your care.
  • For a wild Bulbasaur Location, you’ll need to hjead to Viridian Forest. As far as we can tell, this is the only place in Pokemon Let’s Go where Bulbasaur appear in the wild, and this is true in both versions of the game. This is a rare spawn, so don’t expect to see it often. Remember, you can up your chances of seeing rare spawns with Lure items or by chaining together catch combos.

Where To Find Charmander Locations In Pokemon Lets Go

To find Charmander in Pokemon Lets Go Pikachu & Eevee, there are several places that you can look. The first one is Route 4, the road between Pewter City and Cerulean City, in the top of the map. The second possibility is the Rock Tunnel, an area in the east, just north of Lavender Town. Option three is Route 21, the road in the southwest that connects Pallet Town and Cinnabar Island. The last two places where Charmanders tend to spawn are Route 22 and Route 23, both on the far left of the map, connecting Indigo Plateau and Viridian City.

As is the case with most other Pokemon, Charmander appears as a Wild Pokemon that you then have to catch. Now, Pokemon will mostly appear in the patches of tall grass. Thats not a rule, but it does happen fairly often. So, we managed to get a Charmander to spawn in these locations by using a lure to attract more Pokemon, because Charmander is kinda rare. We would engage all non-Charmanders, then escape the fight, to facilitate more spawns. Eventually, a Charmander appeared. Due to the nature of the spawns, though, youre experience might vary.

Alternatively, you can talk to a man in a denim shirt and green pants on Route 24. Thats the path leading north of Cerulean City. Youll run into the guy just after crossing Nugget Bridge. Hell give you a Charmander after youve caught a total of 50 Pokemon.

Pokemon Lets Go Pikachu and Pokemon Lets Go Eevee have Pikachu and Eevee as their respective starting Pokemon. This differs from the original Kanto region Pokemon games where youd choose from Bulbasaur, Charmander or Squirtle.;

As a result some of the older Pokemon fans who were hoping to play with these three classics may be a little disappointed. Dont worry though, Bulbasaur, Charmander and Squirtle can be captured elsewhere.

Dratini Dragonair And Dragonite

One of the most popular and desired rare Pokemon, other than Mew and Mewtwo, has to be Dratini and its eventual evolutions. As a pure Dragon-type Pokemon, this one will be very high on collectors’ lists.

Dratini can be found in the wild on Route 10, but is a very rare spawn. Dragonair can also be found here, but as you might have guessed, it’s an even rarer spawn. If evolving your Pokemon isnt your thing, and youd rather literally catch them all, Dragonite does spawn in the wild, if very rarely. If you are lucky enough, you will find Dragonite;flying over nearly all routes, as a rare spawn.

How To Catch Charmander In Pokemon Lets Go

Charmander is the second starter which you can encounter in the wild as you progress through the world map.

Much like Bulbasaur, the odds of Charmander spawning are low, but you can work around this by combo chaining Pokemon.

You can find a Charmander on Route 4, on the road connecting Pewter City and Cerulean City and inside of Mt Moon.

Another spawn location is inside of Rock Tunnel on the way towards Lavender town, Route 21, Route 22 and Route 23.

If you are lucky, you might find one just south of Palette Town and in-between Indigo Plateau and Viridian City.

Or you can avoid the hassle and talk to the man in the blue t-shirt just north of Nugget Bridge in Cerulean City to get a free Charmander.

Charmander evolves into Charmeleon at level 16 and then Charizard at level 36.

After you beat all eight Gyms, Professor Oak will give you a Key Stone and a Charizardite X and a Charizardite Y to evolve a Mega Y or Mega X version of Charizard.

Pokemon Lets Go Pikachu and Eevee – How To Catch Charmander

A free Bulbasaur can be obtained from an NPC in the game you find in a house in Cerulean City. The house is a row below the highest row in the city and is the leftmost house, next to the Pokémon Center. You must have captured at least 30 Pokémon for the trainer to deliver to you, but if you meet this requirement, you will receive Bulbasaur without further questions!

If you want to capture Bulbasaur naturally, return to Viridian Forest, one of the oldest dungeon areas in the game. Bulbasaur is one of the wild Pokémon that appears here, but very, very rarely so get ready to use some lures and capture a lot of Pokémon until you find Bulbasaur.
