A gifts contents are apparently determined at the time of opening, so you can only get rare candy once the hourly bonus has been activated.
So, in short: send your gifts at the beginning of the hour, but dont open them. Once the bonus is unlocked, go nuts opening gifts. Stop again when the hour is done, and then repeat for the next friendship hour.
So, if you do that, you should be able to get some rare candies from opening gifts. If you make sure to send and open at the right times, youll maximize your chances of coming away with a decent haul. Note, too, that this will only be live for ticket holders.
What Can Be Inside A Gift
So far, we’ve confirmed gift boxes can contain the following:
- Alolan 7km eggs
- Poké Balls or Great Balls
- Potions, Hyper Potions, and Max Potions
- Pinap Berries, Nanab Berries, and normal Razz Berries
- Revives and Max Revives
The contents of each gift is random, but so is the volume of those contents. You could get two Nanab Berries and Five Great Balls, or you could get one Alolan 7km egg and a single Max Revive. Opening a gift is a lot like spinning a disc at a Poké Stop, as soon as the package is open the items are added to your inventory, but you don’t have any control over its contents.

What Items Can You Get From Gifts In Pokemon Go
There are a handful of different rewards you can get from opening a gift which we’ve listed below:

- Max Revives

Pokemon Go Eases Gift Limits Offers Bonuses During Covid
As the coronavirus crisis worsens, Niantic and The Pokemon Company are easing some more restrictions for Pokemon GO to keep the game going.
Playing Pokemon GO these days has proven a little tougher given the continuing COVID-19 pandemic. It’s even harder with a handful of states in the middle of active shelter-in-place orders. So Niantic is doing what it can by easing some of the game’s limitations and has announced another series of them on Monday.
Last week, Niantic tried to make things easier for Pokemon GO players by offering Pokemon-attracting Incense bundles for 1 PokeCoin. Now it’s going a step further by adding a special 1 PokeCoin bundle that adds 100 Poke Balls to a player’s inventory. On top of that, the 1 PokeCoin bundles will rotate in the weeks ahead. Starting next Monday, a new bundle will be made available for purchase. That means if you want that batch of Incense or that bag of Poke Balls, you should scoop them up while you can.
But that’s not all. In an effort to keep the game going, players are being awarded triple Stardust and XP for their first Pokemon catch of the day. Also, in an effort to keep the game social while also maintaining social distancing guidelines, players can now open 30 gifts a day and carry 20 gifts at a time. Meanwhile, in an effort to promote social distancing, the planned Lugia Raid has been canceled.

Join A Team And Battle
At a certain point in the game,you’ll be asked to join one of three teams. Once you join a team, you’ll gainthe ability to assign your Pokémon to open Gym locations or to a Gym where ateammate has already assigned a Pokémon. Each player can place only one Pokémonper Gym, so you’ll need to work together with other members of your team tobuild up a strong defense. Like PokéStops, Gyms can be found at real-worldlocations.
If a rival team has claimed a Gym,you can challenge it by using your Pokémon to battle the Pokémon defending theGym. You choose which of your Pokémon will join in the battle. Each Pokémon hastwo kinds of attacks, and can also dodge the defending Pokémon’s attacks if youswipe left or right. If your Pokémon win the battle, the motivation of thedefending Pokémon is reduced. When the motivation of each defending Pokémondrops to zero, the defending team loses control of the Gym, and you or anotherplayer can then take control of it by assigning a Pokémon to defend it.
How To Boost Xp Friendship Gains In Pokmon Go
Getting to Best Friends with other players takes several months of daily friendship raising, but the payoff is worth it. In addition to the bonuses mentioned above, you also get heaping amounts of XP every time your friendship with another player ranks up. We recommend using Lucky Eggs before hitting Ultra or Best Friends to double that XP. With a Lucky Egg, reaching Best Friends with a single player rewards a whopping 200,000 XP.

How To Get And Use Gifts In Pokmon Go
When you have Pokémon GO friends, you have the option of receiving and returning gifts from them to increase your overall friendship level with them. Gifts are a great way to receive several different consumable items in the game, and you can enjoy other perks by increasing your friendship level with other trainers.
How to get freebies
To get freebies to give to your friends, you need to visit one of the PokéStops in your area. Visit one, spin the dial, and you should receive a gift attached to that spot in your inventory. You will not always receive them because they are random drops. You may need to visit multiple PokéStops to receive one. You can only have 10 gifts at a time.
How to send gifts
You can now send this to any of the coaches on your friends list at any time, but you are limited to sending one gift per coach each day. To send the gift, you need to tap on your profile picture on the lower left part of your screen and then go to the friends list on the right side of your profile. You will have the list of available friends, you can send a gift.
If their name is gray, but you haven’t sent them a gift today, it’s because they haven’t opened the first gift you sent them. You must wait for them to open this one before sending more.

Buddy Levels And Perks
Earning Affection hearts allows Trainer to progress toward improving their Buddy Level. Similarly to Friendship Levels, each Buddy Level unlocks special perks.
Unlike Buddys Mood, Buddy Levels do not decrease over time, much like Friendship Levels.

Adventuring Buddy
Buddy will appear on the Map when it is fed enough and their hunger meter is full. While on the Map, buddy will earn Candy at a reduced walking distance.
Readable Mood
An excited Wailord
Interacting with Buddy improves their Mood. It decreases over time. Swapping buddies reset it back to Normal. Excited is the most positive mood, which doubles the Affection Hearts that could be earned and the candy walking distance is halved when excited.
Once Buddy achieves Good Buddy level, the Mood indicator appears on the Buddy Profile screen. If Buddy is on the map, Trainer can also tap their buddy to see its Mood.

Pokemon Go Update Adds Increased Daily Bonuses Increased Gift Count More
In an effort to keep folks playing Pokemon Go during self-isolation, Niantic has sweetened the pot a bit.
Pokemon Go players will benefit from increased Daily Bonuses, additional Gifts, and rotating PokeCoin bundles starting today.
From today, players will earn 3x Stardust and XP for the first Pokemon catch of the day. Niantic suggests you activate a Star Piece and Lucky Egg to maximize your rewards.
The number of Gifts you can open daily has also been increased to 30, and the number of Gifts you can carry in your inventory has increased to 20. Gifts will also contain more Poke Balls.
On the shop, you will find the 1 PokeCoin bundle rotating out on a weekly basis. Contents will change week by week, and each bundle will be a one-time purchase. This week’s 1 PokeCoin bundle features 100 PokeBalls.
This bundle, along with the one-time-purchase bundle of 30 Incense for 1 PokeCoin that was already available, can be purchased until Monday, March 30. At that time, both the Incense and PokeBall bundles will be removed to make way for a new bundle.
Earlier this month, Niantic postponed Marchs Abra Community Day, and to make up for it, the company upped the number of Pokemon appearing in the wild. It also added the aforementioned 30 Incense Bundle, 1/2 Hatch Distance when Eggs are placed into Incubators and made it so PokeStops would drop Gifts more frequently.

What Is Pokmon Home Anyway
Pokémon HOME is a cloud based storage system for Pokémon caught in the many Pokémon games. It works with the core Pokémon games, Pokémon Bank, and now, Pokémon Go. However, there are some limitations as to what can and cannot be transferred, how many Pokémon you can store, and where those Pokémon can be transferred after they’re in your Pokémon HOME account. For the time being, while you can transfer Pokémon in from the core games, Pokémon Bank, and Pokémon Go, Pokémon can only be transferred out to Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield, and only if those species are available in the Galar region Pokédex or Pokémon added with the DLC expansion pass, Isle of Armor and Crown Tundra.
How Do I Open Gifts
If you have gifts waiting for you to open, you will be notified when you open the Pokémon Go app. If you miss that notification, here’s what you do:

And that’s it! You can open gifts as soon as you receive them, and it shouldn’t ever impact the contents of the gift.

How To Get Souvenirs In Pokmon Go
First, make sure your Buddy level is an Ultra Buddy, which unlocks two perks – Find Locations and Find Souvenirs.
From this point on, your Buddy will give you a Souvenirs at random. They are presented and collected in the same way Presents are, with a bundle appearing on the Buddy screen that can be opened when interacted with.
While Presents give you common consumable items, such as Berries, Souvenirs are new items that, at the time of writing, have no other purpose than to be collected.
There’s no way to trigger a Souvenir appearing aside from using your Buddy on Adventures day-to-day. Our experience suggests they are rarer than Presents – while we on average receive one Present from our Buddy per day, Souvenirs seem to arrive at the rate of one or two per week.
When you receive one, can see the Souvenirs you have collected towards the bottom of the Buddy screen, which expands out into a wider list.
It’s worth noting any souvenirs found are specific to that Buddy – so if you swap Buddy, you have to build a collection for them as well.
What Are Pokmon Go Gifts
After the Friendship and Trading update, players in Pokémon Go will now find gift packages in their inventory as an item you can send to friends. Gifts are blind boxes, meaning no one has any idea what is inside of it until the recipient opens it.
The biggest reason to send and receive Pokémon Go gifts? Doing so increases your Friendship rating with the person you are sharing with! There are, of course, rules for this system.
- You can send up to 20 gifts per day, but you can receive as many as you have friends to send
- Only one gift shared with a friend per day will go towards increasing your Friendship rating

How To Find Gifts In Pokmon Go
Its not difficult to find gifts while playing Pokémon Go. All you need to do is spin PokéStops. Gifts will appear at random, but they will be sealed, as youre expected to send them to friends.
Gifts dont take up inventory space, but you cant hold more than ten of them at any given time. If you need more, make a goal of spinning more PokéStops and theyll appear to fill your bag.

Bear in mind that every gift includes a postcard detailing which PokéStop it came from. Whoever you send your gift to will be able to see this postcard, so its important to be careful regarding privacy when playing Pokémon Go.

How To Send And Open Gifts In Pokemon Go
Once you’ve found a Gift at a PokeStop, you’ll want to send it to your Friend. You’ll get XP for doing so that will count towards your Friendship level with that person, and they’ll get a handful of items. Just head into the Friends Tab located in the Trainer menu and click on the friend you want to send a Gift to. You’ll see the option to send a Gift, though you can only send one per day.
