Earning Go Battle League Sets In The Pokmon Go Battle League
Until further notice, walking will not be required to unlock Battle Sets
Battles in the Pokémon Go Battle League come in five Battle increments called Go Battle League Sets. The first of these Sets is free, but each Set after that has to be earned and/or purchased. To earn a Go Battle League Set, you need to walk five KM, but you also have the option of paying Poké Coins to speed this up. Even if you pay to Battle early, you still need to walk at least 2 KM, so players who sink lots of money into the game will still have to work for their Battle Sets.
Players can earn up to five Sets each day. However, each Set requires walking another 5 KM, so participation really requires keeping active and playing a lot. You can see your progress towards earning your next Set in the Battle Menu, and the app also notifies you when youve earned another Set.
Is Ground Weak To Fighting
Ground is one of the strongest types offensively: it is super-effective against five other types and Earthquake is one of the strongest moves in the game with power and accuracy both 100. Unfortunately, many Ground type Pokémon are dual Rock types, lumbering them with 4x Grass and Water disadvantages.

Dark Pokemon Strength And Weakness
The Dark-type was introduced in Generation II. Despite the name Dark, the Pokemon with this type isnt necessarily evil. It is just a name, and before the changes in Generation IV, Dark-type moves were all classified as Special Attacks.
Currently, Dark-type moves can be Special of Physical depending on the move. Know the different Dark Pokemon strengths and weaknesses will give you an advantage in battle.
How To Make And Save A Great League Team In Pokemon Go
The steps in this guide were performed on an iPhone 11 in iOS 13.5.1. I am using the most current version of the Pokemon Go app available when this article was written.
Step 1: Open Pokemon Go.
Step 2: Touch the Pokeball icon at the bottom of the screen.
Step 3: Choose the Battle option.
Step 4: Select the Party tab at the top-right of the screen.
Step 5: Touch the + icon to the right of Great League.
Step 6: Give your team a name, then touch OK.
Step 7: Tap the leftmost gray + button.
Step 8: Select your three Pokemon, then touch the Done button at the bottom of the screen.
These teams are saved locally to the device. If you sign into your Pokemon Go on another device, your team isnt going to be there.
As mentioned earlier, choosing the Pokemon for your team is a surprisingly deep and complex task. You will want to consider the typings for your Pokemon, as well as their moves. Other Pokemon on your team will ideally cover the weaknesses for your other Pokemon.
For example, if your first Pokemon is a water type Pokemon, then that means it is weak to grass. If your opponents first Pokemon is a grass type, or if they switch to a grass type Pokemon, then you should have a Pokemon to counter that. For example, a flying or fire type Pokemon could be strong against that type of Pokemon.

There are a number of special cups and leagues for you to partake in throughout Season 9 of the Go Battle League. Some of these cups, like the Halloween Cup, have already run in previous years.
The first is the Great League Remix, which runs during the first Great League from Monday, 30th August to Monday, 13th September. For this cup, youll be unable to select the Pokémon which were most used in the Great League by players at the Ace Rank or above last season.

Next is the Master League Classic which runs during the first dedicated Master League period for Season 9 Monday, 27th September to Monday, 11th October.
If you want to partake in this league you must ensure none of the Pokémon in your team have been powered up with Candy XL.
The Little Jungle Cup is the first new special cup for Season 9 and will run from Monday, 27th September to Monday, 11th October.
For this cup youre only allowed to use bug, dark, electric, flying, grass, ground and poison-type Pokémon or are a combination of these types. The Pokémon you choose must meet or be beneath the CP limit of 500 and can evolve. Its important to note, however, that you cant use Shuckle or Smeargle.
Sableyes Typing Makes It Untouchable
Sableye is a Dark- and Ghost type Pokemon. At Level 50, it has a Max CP of 1,668, an Attack of 141, a Defense of 136, and a Stamina of 137. Its best Quick move is Shadow Claw . It has four great Charge moves: Foul Play , Power Gem , Return , and Shadow Sneak .
Sableye has good offensive and defensive capabilities in the Great League. Its Dark/Ghost typing gives it an edge since Sableye is only weak to Fairy type and is immune to Fighting, Psychic, and Normal type moves. Players can rely on it surviving most damage while dishing out an array of fantastic attacks.

What’s Good Against Rock Pokemon
Battling against rock Pokemon can be a challenge without the right strategy! They have some of the most dangerous and varied moves in the games like stealth rocks, stone edge, rock polish and more.
Rock type Pokemon generally have some of the highest defense and attack stats of all Pokemon, but are typically pretty slow.
Watch out, because some rock types have an ability called “sturdy” which allows them to survive a one-hit K.O. attack with 1 hit point! It’s always an unpleasant surprise when you were expecting to win the battle but suddenly they fire back with a strong rock type attack!

Using The Move Rankings
Each Pokemon has a pool of Fast Moves and a pool of Charged Moves. Some moves might be better in one battle, and other moves might be better in another. For Trainer Battles, youll want know which moves will be the best ones to have in the most matchups. You might also want to know which Pokemon are the best candidates for a second Charged Move. The move details within each Pokemon ranking can help you determine that.
Moves are ranked using calculations primarily based on their damage and energy cost. Stat changes are also factored in. These calculations are run for each matchup, and then totaled across the format. Matchup weighting affects these numbers as well, so moves that would be used against significant meta targets will rank higher.
When looking at potential moves, keep an eye out for Pokemon that have a strong tendency toward a single Fast Move and a single Charged Move. These Pokemon will have their optimal moveset in the most matchups. On the other hand, some Pokemon see more balanced usage in their Charged Moves. This is where having a second Charged Move comes into play.
As an exercise, select any one Pokemon in the Team Builder tool and compare its battle histograms when it has one Charged Move and when it has two. If a second Charged Move improves its matchups, it might be one worth investing in.
Does Dark Resist Poison
The Dark type, along with the Steel type, was introduced in Generation II in order to balance against Psychic type, so it is immune to Psychic attacks. Dark Pokémon have a single Ground weakness if their other type is Poison, which nullifies all of Dark types other weaknesses.

General Weaknesses Of Dark
The Dark-types are unfortunately weak against Fighting and Bug. Later on, the addition of the Fairy-type also made it a weakness to Dark-types. One other thing is that Dark-type moves are not effective against Dark-types as well. Their lowest ranking stat is Sp. defense, which is ranked fourteenth and Defense, which is around the rank of twelve overall.

Fire is super effective on Grass, Grass is super effective on Water, and Water is super effective on Fire. Scorbunny beats Grookey, Grookey beats Sobble, and Sobble beats Scorbunny. How This Affects Pokmon With Multiple Types
As I mentioned before, some Pokémon will have multiples types, and this table gets even more tricky to understand once you start looking at how interactions like that work. The good news is there’s a pretty simple way to break it down.
All modifiers for damage by a particular attack are calculated together when it comes to dealing with Pokémon that have multiple types.
For example, if you use a Flying attack against a Pokémon with both Bug and Grass types, it would do four times as much damage, since Flying attacks usually do double damage to each type.
Following in the pattern, if you were to use a Ground attack against a Pokémon with both Bug and Grass types, it would do 1/4 of the damage, since ground attack normally would do 1/2 damage to each type.
Pokemon Go Type Chart: Strengths Effectiveness Weaknesses And Resistances Explained
In Pokemon Go, Every type of Pokemon has four different relationships with other types any trainer should be aware of. That is:
- Strong Against: represented on our type chart as Strong Vs, attacks from the listed type against the type listed here will deal additional damage to your opponent. This is ‘Super Effective’.
- Weak Against: represented here as Weak Vs, attacks from the listed type against these types will do less damage to the enemy. This is ‘Not very effective…’
- Resistance: listed as resist, taking attacks from this type will do much less damage to you.
- Vulnerable: your type’s weaknesses. Attacks of these types will deal more damage – watch out!
So, for instance, Offensively a Ground-type Pokemon/move is Strong against Poison, Rock, Steel, Fire and Electric types, dealing double damage to them. It only does 50% damage against Flying, Bug and Grass Pokemon. Defensively, that same Ground-type Pokemon will take reduced damage from Poison, Rock and Electric Pokemon but also take double damage from Water, Grass and Ice – which is vulnerable to.
With that explained, let’s get into the Pokemon Go type chart in full.
