Pokemon Go Mega Evolutions: Everything You Need To Know About Mega Raids And Mega Energy

HOW TO MEGA EVOLVE POKEMON IN POKEMON GO! Mega Evolving Every Pokemon & Mega Raid Gameplay!

Mega Evolutions are coming to Pokemon Go with the introduction of four new Mega Evolved Pokemon.

After gathering Pokemon-specific Mega Energy in Mega Raids, trainers can trigger a limited-time Mega Evolution to beef up the power of their Pokemon.

These Mega Evolved Pokemon can then be used to battle other raids, defeat gyms and Team Go Rocket, play with friends, and flex as your buddy. They cannot, however, be used to defend gyms, or in Go League battles.

How Long Do Mega Evolutions Last In Pokmon Go

It’s not forever, but it’s enough.

Mega Evolutions are now in Pokémon Go, but this new feature is only available for Mega Venusaur, Charizard, Blastoise, and Beedrill. To Mega Evolve, trainers will have to gather Mega Energy, which works similarly to Candy.

The first time these Pokémon Mega Evolve, the player will have to gather a high number of Mega Energy. Beedrill asks for 100 Mega Energy, while Venusaur, Charizard, and Blastoise require 200.

The Mega Evolution will only last for four hours, however. But after the first Mega Evolution, the cost falls to 25 Mega Energy for Beedrill and 50 Mega Energy for the Kanto starters.

Trainers can get between 30 and 50 Mega Energy when battling in Mega Raids, so itll take from four to seven Raids to achieve the first Mega Evolution of a Pokémon.

For further Mega Evolutions, trainers will have to win one or two Mega Raids. Remember, the faster you finish the battle, the more Mega Energy you receive.

Some events can boost how long Mega Evolutions last, but four hours should be enough to do everything you can with Mega Evolved Pokémon. They cant be left to defend gyms or compete in the Go Battle League.

Too Weak: Mega Aerodactyl

Our poor old buddy Mega Aerodactyl is another Pokémon that suffers from that familiar issue: it really wants its item. Aerodactyl likes to do its usual Aerodactyl things: setting up Stealth Rocks, surviving on its Focus Sash, dishing out a quick Rock-type attack here and there. Its not a big offensive threat, most of the time, and it isnt trying to be.

Mega Aerodactyl, with its buffed Attack power and Tough Claws ability , is trying to be. Is falls a little short in those stakes, compared to other offensive Megas, and thats the problem. Its not especially bad, but its heavily outclassed.

Pokmon Master Evolutions: How To Evolve Pokmon

HOW TO EVOLVE POKEMON IN POKEMON MASTERS

Like in other Pokémon games, Pokémon in Pokémon Masters need to level up to evolve. Unlike those games, however, the level is the same for all Pokémon.

If a Pokémon needs to evolve to a first-stage, or Stage 1 Sync Pair as the game calls it, that Pokémon will need to be at level 30. If a Pokémon can evolve again, itll need to be at level 45 to evolve into its Stage 2 Sync Pair form.

Evolving your Pokémon increases their power and gives them other added benefits like getting a new powerful Sync Move if the Pokémon evolves twice.

Its not easy to evolve Pokémon in this game, though. Once you reach level 30 with a Pokémon, youll unlock a special side story. To play through the story, youll need a special item.

Trainers need evolution shards and evolution crystals to play through the story and complete the transformation. These items can only be found in the in-game shop by exchanging coins earned in battle.

Heres the exchange rate in the in-game shop at the start.

If a Pokemon has multiple Mega-Evolved forms, like Mega Charizard, then each form will have an initial cost, according to an email sent to Heavy.

Slemon said that these Raid Battles arent just five-star Raids with Mega-Evolved Pokemon; its its own tier of Raid Battles with its own Raid Egg. They made it that way so Mega-Evolved Pokemon dont crowd the Raid Table and make it hard to find Legendary Pokemon. The faster you defeat a Mega-Evolved Raid Boss, the more Mega Energy youll get, further rewarding players that use Pokemon with a high damage per second and those that team up with other players.

You can also earn Mega Energy via Special Research quests. Theres one quest coming soon, A Mega Discovery, that will award Mega Energy for Beedrill. Warner said that in the future, Mega Energy could be earned through Field Research tasks as well.

How to get Mega Energy in Pokemon Go, the new consumable you need to Mega Evolve certain Pokemon

Knowing how to get Pokemon GO Mega Energy is a big part of a relatively new and powerful feature in Pokemon GO: Mega Evolution. Like its video game counterpart, Mega Evolution in Pokemon GO temporarily transforms certain Pokemon into more powerful versions of themselves. To perform this transformation, trainers will need to collect Mega Energy in Pokemon GO.

Mega Energy, like Pokemon Candy, is a new Pokemon Go consumable that transforms Pokemon into their Mega forms for eight hours. There are some events that can extend the length of Mega Evolution, but the standard length of time is eight hours. Trainers can take these Mega Evolved Pokemon into battle against Raid Pokemon, those in Gyms and against Team GO Rocket.;

Another perk of Mega Evolution in Pokemon GO is the power boost it gives you and other trainers during Raid Battles. Using a Mega Pokemon will boost itself and other Pokemon of the same type by 33 percent, while others will get a 10 percent increase. Since Mega Evolutions introduction in 2020, Niantic has changed how trainers can obtain Mega Energy in-game and this guide will explain everything you need to know about it.;

Pokemon Masters: How To Evolve Pokemon

Evolution in Pokemon Masters works differently to any other Pokemon game. Gone are the days of reaching a specific level for certain Pokemon and having them automatically evolve, because now, you need to use two specific types of item to evolve Pokemon, and only when they reach a specific level, which is the same across the board for all Pokemon eligible to evolve.

First up, the required level: in order to evolve a basic Pokemon a Pokemon before it has evolved at all, like Totodile or Surskit the sync pair needs to be at level 30. This is a flat criteria for every basic Pokemon. If you want to evolve a stage one Pokemon into a stage two Pokemon, the sync pair needs to be level 45. Not all Pokemon can evolve however; more on that shortly.

Even when a sync pair reaches level 30, the Pokemon won’t evolve automatically. If it’s one of the Pokemon eligible to evolve then you need to do a few things, starting with buying five Evolution Shards from the shop. These cost 1,000 coins to begin with, but afterwards they become significantly more expensive.

Use the five Evolution Shards on the new storyline that will have appeared for your sync pair about evolution. I’d recommend waiting until you’re an even higher level before tackling it though, because these battles are tough and consume five Evolution Shards each time.

Primal Reversion In Pokmon Go

In addition to the 46 Pokémon capable of Mega Evolving, the Legendary Pokémon Kyogre and Groudon have forms that are similar to Mega Evolution. These forms, called Primal Reversion, use orbs instead of Mega Stones and don’t require the Key Stone. Otherwise, the process is very similar. How To Evolve Pokemon In Pokemon Masters

Evolving Pokemon that are able to be evolved like Piplup, Pikachu, or Snivy requires you to have the Sync Pair reach at least level 30 for the stage two evolution. Once the pair reaches level 30, the game will reward you with a new Sync Pair side story for those two that will end in the Pokemon evolving.

But before you can actually do the mission, you need at least five of the evolution crystals. These can be exchanged in the shop at the Pokemon Center for coins. Coins are earned through completed main story missions or purchasing with real world currency.;

The story itself will require you to take part in a solo battle with that Sync Pair against another Sync Pair. If you attempt these battles at level 30, you will find that they are quite challenging, especially if you dont have all of the Pokemons moves unlocked.;

For these evolution story missions, we recommend you have at least level 35 in order to ensure you are strong enough to beat the enemy. Thankfully, even if you lose the battle, you will retain the evolution items and be able to challenge as many times as necessary.

Once you have defeated the enemy, though, the game will reward you with more experience, some gems, and a cutscene of that Pokemon evolving in exchange for the evolution items.;
