Find And Catch Legendary Rayquaza In Pokmon Sword & Shield Crown Tundra Dlc
To reach the Legendary Rayquaza, players will need to progress the new Dynamax Adventures story missions added to the DLC until they have completed them. After this, they’ll need to speak to Peonia at the Max Raid Dungeon. She often offers clues, either for free or a price, about where each new Legendary Pokémon can be found. Right now, it seems players will need to wait to get clues about the location of Rayquaza until after they have found and captured Palkia and Giratina.
Though Rayquaza is often cross-listed as both Flying and Dragon-Type, in the Max Raid Dungeon, it will be typically be listed as a Flying-type. Players are going to want to bring Dragon, Fairy, Rock, and Ice Type Pokémon along to capture Rayquaza. Good options include Hitmontop when it knows Triple Axel, Tyranitar, Hydreigon, and Goodra.
Rayquaza has some exceptional moves, particularly Brutal Swing, which can really hurt the team if players are not careful. As players take turns trying to weaken it, when its health runs low, the game will prompt a player to try and catch it. As with all Legendaries in the DLC, any Pokéball will do, and players can add Rayquaza to their Pokédex and party.
Once players have found and caught Rayquaza, they will need to select Rayquaza as the one Pokémon to keep. Then, they will be able to return to Peonia for a new clue. This clue should lead them to the location of the next Legendary Pokémon in the Max Raid Dungeons, which could be any from Mewtwo to Celesteela.

Rayquaza appears in The Subspace Emissary mode as a boss. After Diddy Kong lands in The Lake, Rayquaza lunges out of the water and grabs him, angry at being disrupted. Before it can further attack, Fox ejects out of his ship, which had crashed and been destroyed by Rayquaza earlier, and rescues Diddy Kong. Enraged, Rayquaza attacks Fox with Dragon Pulse, but Fox reflects its attack back at it, sending it reeling back into the water. Rayquaza soon launches back out and engages in battle against Fox and Diddy Kong.
Like all other Subspace Emissary bosses, Rayquaza is later battled again in The Great Maze, and can be fought in the Boss Battles mode after the latter is unlocked. Its attacks in battle include ExtremeSpeed, Thunder, Dig*, Iron Tail, and Fly.

Pokemon Go Rayquaza Raid Counter
Rayquaza is a Dragon and Flying-type Pokémon, making it weak to Rock, Fairy, Dragon and Ice-type attacks.
Ice-type attacks are four times effective against Rayquaza, so it’s best to bring as many of those as possible into battle against it. There are some powerful Pokémon already in the game that will help against Rayquazaand especially some Mega Pokémon.
Mega Abomasnow will increase the Ice-type attacks of everyone joining in the Raid, so it’s a powerful option. Just be careful of Rayquaza’s Flying-type attacks, which are strong against Mega Abomasnow’s Grass typing.
Mega Ampharos is another option to take into battle. It will increase the power of Dragon-type attacks, but the Pokémon is weak to Rayquaza’s Dragon moves, so you’ll need to tread carefully. The same also goes for Mega Charizard X.

A special Raid event is happening this weekend in Pokémon Go, giving trainers another chance at catching a powerful Legendary with an exclusive move.
Rayquaza will be returning to Raids in Pokémon Go. This time, though, the Dragon and Flying-type of the Hoenn region will be appearing with the exclusive move Hurricane, giving it a powerful Flying-type attack.

Who Is Rayquaza In Pokmon Go
A Legendary Dragon and Flying type from the Gen III Hoenn Region, Rayquaza is the leader of the Weather Trio, the only Pokémon capable of calming Groudon and Kyogre‘s fight, and the first Pokémon to ever Mega Evolve.
Rayquaza is also the only Pokémon who can Mega Evolve without a Mega Stone. Although Mega Rayquaza isn’t here yet, with the introduction of Mega Evolution to Pokémon Go, it’s only a matter of time. So you’re going to want to have at least one of this powerful Pokémon ready when it arrives.
Dragon Tail + Outrage And Aerial Ace
Dragon Tail is slightly superior to Air Slash in terms of energy gain, but more importantly in the formats where Rayquaza can compete in, Dragon-type coverage is valuable against other Dragon Pokemon, as well as its relatively neutral coverage overall.
Outrage demands quite a lot of energy to use, but it’s also the most powerful charge move available. Aerial Ace is recommended for its lesser energy cost, though it’s not very powerful, even with STAB. Ancient Power offers very poor damage output, and the 10% chance to proc its self-buff is not reliable enough to justify its use.

Pokmon Support Options To Consider
Since Rayquaza VMAX is aRapid Strike Pokémon, it can pair rather seamlessly with a couple of Rapid Strike Zeraora V to help with your single-Prize matchups. ZeraoraV’s Cross Fist attack does 100 damage plus 160 damage to 1 of your ‘opponent’sBenched Pokémon if 1 of your other Rapid Strike Pokémon attacked the previousturn. Since there are no Bench Barrier effects in Standard right now, Zeraora Vcan easily wreak havoc on a board of Pokémon with low HP, and can hit Inteleon, a popular support Pokémon inthe metagame, for Weakness.
In the current Standard format,Metal-type Pokémon are as popular as ever. Since this deck plays Fire Energy,it can accommodate Fire-type attackers like Ninetales V. For one Fire and twoColorless Energy, Ninetales V’s Nine-Tailed Shapeshifter attack copies 1 of theopponent’s Active Pokémon’s attacks. This is great for Knocking Out Zacian Vwith its own Brave Blade and Zamazenta V with its own Assault Tackle. If you’relucky, you may also be able to copy Rapid Strike Urshifu VMAX’s G-Max RapidFlow attack to KO two of your opponent’s Benched Pokémon. There’s nothing likegiving your opponent a taste of their own medicine!

The members of this legendary trio are each a guardian of different elemental sphere. Groudon is the guardian of the lithosphere, so the land, Kyogre watches over the hydrosphere, the world’s seas, and Rayquaza guards the atmosphere.
When Groudon and Kyogre clash, which they always seem to do, Rayquaza descends from the sky to stop their fight and help them return to their slumbers.

Like Groudon, Rayquaza is one of the harder Pokemon to lock down due to its capability to restore its HP with Rest. Having a quick way to whittle it back down can be just as useful as preventing it from resting.
Having a two-turn move in Fly also limits when you can hit it with a move or throw a ball at it.
Best Catcher Pokemon

When facing Rayquaza, we recommend using either Blastoise with Yawn and False Swipe, or Absol with Thunder Wave and False Swipe. These Pokemon give you a reliable way to whittle down the opponent’s HP as low as possible, and access to a status-inflicting move to improve catch rates.
Blastoise can be the best choice here thanks to its bulk. Keeping it asleep with Yawn can help keep it from using Fly every other turn. We also recommend making it drowsy before False Swiping it down to 1 HP. If you’re lucky you can catch it before it wakes up and potentially restores HP with Rest.
Alternatively, bringing in a Pokemon like Absol and using Taunt to prevent Rayquaza from falling asleep is also a viable strategy to maximize your chances of catching it.
Best Balls to Use
In case a Quick Ball on turn 1 did not succeed, the Ultra Ball is a reliable go-to ball to use instead. If you are facing Rayquaza at night, Dusk Balls become the better option.
If about a dozen turns have passed, you may also rely on the Timer Ball for higher success rates of capture.
