Alternatively, you can get Upgrades from PokeStops, as evolution items have a chance of being dropped.

Where To Find Porygon
First, anyone without the Isle of Armor expansion is out of luck. Youll need to trade or transfer one using Pokémon HOME to get it.
If you do have Isle of Armor, beat the story and then go to the Dojo and speak to Master Mustard. A battle will ensue, and after that you can travel to the furthest room on the right to speak with Hyde. Porygon is just floating there, and after a brief conversation, Hyde will give it to you.

The Porygon Community Day event in Pokémon Go will begin Sunday, September 20, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. local time.
SHINY PORYGON
As with other Pokémon who receive the Community Day spotlight in Pokémon Go, Porygon will appear more frequently in the overworld. However, this event will mark the debut of Shiny Porygon into the game.
Shiny Porygon has a vastly different appearance from its normal counterpart. Normal Porygon has a pink and blue color while Shiny Poryong changes its pink color to a deep blue and its light blue into a grayish purple color.

In a perfect world, you want as many as possible, with the best movesets possible, powere dup as much as possible. And that takes candy. Walking any of them isnt fast, especially the 5 KM ones, but more is more and faster is faster.
How To Get Upgrades And Sinnoh Stone
Upgrades and Sinnoh Stones have been in Pokémon GO for a while. Hopefully youve collected a large pile of them for use during Porygon Community Day. If not, dont worry too much. Before and after the event you can get more Upgrades and Sinnoh Stone by accomplishing special research, including your weekly research reward. These will often give you upgrade items, which will randomly be Upgrades or Sinnoh Stone on occasion. However, during the event there will be many more chances to get them.
During Porygon Community Day there will be special timed research that rewards both Upgrades and Sinnoh Stone. Throughout the event you should be able to get a total of three Upgrades and three Sinnoh Stone by completing this timed research, which should be a pretty simple task. After that youre likely stuck with what you have in your inventory for a while. Just watch for future chances to get more if you have more to evolve and wait for an event if you want Tri-Attack for your Porygon-Z.
