Generation I Pokemon Gets Shiny Through Tier Three Raid Battles
Shiny Kangaskhan is in the game, but it will take some effort to acquire. Kangaskhan is a tier three raid boss, with a chance of being shiny. This means that trainers have to do lot of walking and Kangaskhan battling before they find a shiny version.
Kangaskhan isnt the only rare three-star raid boss. Heracross will also be making appearances. This is also special since Heracross is normally only found in the South American region. Along with those two will be Alakazam, one of the elite Psychic-type Pokemon. Now is definitely a great time to pull out those raid passes.
It is unclear whether or not Kankaskhan will continue to be regionally exclusive after the event. If so, though, that would make Kangaskhan and Heracross valuable finds. It could be a good idea for trainers to keep a couple of these Pokemon in their pocket, so that they can trade them for something valuable later on.
As for beating Kangaskhan in these raid battles, strong Fighting-type Pokemon are easily going to be the best to bring. Pokemon like Conkeldurr and Lucario should have fast time to win against Kangaskhan.

How To Get A Kangaskhan
Kangaskhans spawn rate at the Grass Patches in Vera Volcano Park is very low. Attempting to encoutner it this way is tedious since it requires luck and endurance. Fortunately, Cubone also spawns at the Grass Patches at a higher rate, and it can summon Kangaskhan. Therefore, be sure to catch one when it intrudes a SOS battle instead.
Bouffalant In Pokmon Go
The latest Regional Exclusive Pokémon to come to Pokémon Go is Bouffalant. Introduced during Unova Week Bouffalant was originally advertised as being available in New York City and the surrounding areas, because the Unova Region was loosely based on that area. However, players have reported Bouffalant sightings as far north as New Hampshire and as far south as Virginia. It would seem as though this bison-based Pokémon can be caught along the Mid-Atlantic and Northern coast of the United States.

How To Beat Kangaskhan In A Raid In Pokemon Go
Kangaskhan isnt very powerful and is only available in three-star raids, which means it doesnt come close to the scale of a legendary battle.
The base CP for raiding Kangaskhan is around 15,000. It is generally not a fight that players can fight alone. However, just having another trainer with a decent Pokemon can guarantee victory.
The best brands to use in battle are battle type Pokemon like Blaziken or Machamp which do a ton of damage. A good set of counters will quickly defeat Kangaskhan, and using evasive maneuvers with charged attacks will get the best results.
Of course, after the raid, players still have to catch the Pokémon with Premier Balls. Throwing curve balls with some berries in the mix gives the best results for the catch.
Kangaskhan will be one of the easier aspects of raid collection for anyone who bought a Kanto Tour ticket in Pokemon GO. There are eight Pokémon in total, half of which require three-star raids.
The other half requires legendary raids. These include the three legendary birds and Mewtwo. At least 4 decent trainers are required for these battles.
During the official Kanto Tour event day, raid passes were issued every hour on the hour for the number of raid completions required. Players still have a week to finish the collection, but Passports and Pokemon wont be that numerous.
How To Get Kangaskhan In Pokemon Go
Kangaskhan is a region-restricted Pokemon, exclusive to Australia, as is listed on its fandom wikia page here.
However, this will temporarily be changing with Ultra Unlock part 2. Other Trainers around the world will soon get a few shots at getting Kangaskhan in Pokemon Go for themselves, finally answering the question of how youre meant to get Kangaskhan without relying on trading with other Trainers who you might not have the luck of so much as meeting.
In particular, if you want a Kangaskhan for yourself as a Trainer from somewhere else in the world, youll have to defeat the strong Parent Pokemon in a raid battle during the event and manage to capture it. Luckily, weve already got a guide for how to defeat this powerful Normal-Type, so feel free to make use of that to get the best chance of leaving the event with a new Kangaskhan.
For context, this is quite a rare chance, given that the same wiki page mentioned above lists that Kangaskhan is typically only available worldwide once a year in events at best, and wasnt present in 2020 at all.
In other words, make sure not to miss the Ultra Unlock part 2 event Trainers, you really dont want to miss this chance.

Mega Kangaskhan Counters & Weaknesses
Mega Kangaskhan is a tough one to beat and will require at least two or three trainers to make sure of victory. There are reports of some gamers managing solo raids, but that is likely tied to having a ridiculous lineup of Pocket Monsters.
The good news is that Mega Kangaskhan is a Normal-type Mega Raid boss, meaning you have a range of options when it comes to the fighting types you can use against it. However, you will be limited to just fighting when grabbing the 2X weakness bonus, as it is the only one for Mega Kangaskhan.
Optimal raid counters will be Fighting types, as it is 2x weak to Fighting, and it is their only weakness. Shadow Pokemon will be the best choice, but as they arent very common and expensive to use, most counters will be based around other types of Pokemon. There are also new Mega Evolution options to choose from, and below, you can find some of the best types to take on Mega Kangaskhan during Raid Day:
- Mega Lopunny with Low Kick Fighting and Focus Blast Fighting
- Mega Y Charizard with Fire Spin Fire and Blast Burn

- Lucario with Counter Fighting and Aura Sphere Fighting
- Breloom with Counter Fighting and Dynamic Punch Fighting
- Machamp with Counter Fighting and Dynamic Punch Fighting
