How To Beat Kangaskhan In A Raid In Pokemon Go

Kangaskhan isnt very powerful and is only available in three-star raids, which means it doesnt come close to the scale of a legendary battle.

The base CP for raiding Kangaskhan is around 15,000. It is generally not a fight that players can fight alone. However, just having another trainer with a decent Pokemon can guarantee victory.

The best brands to use in battle are battle type Pokemon like Blaziken or Machamp which do a ton of damage. A good set of counters will quickly defeat Kangaskhan, and using evasive maneuvers with charged attacks will get the best results.

Of course, after the raid, players still have to catch the Pokémon with Premier Balls. Throwing curve balls with some berries in the mix gives the best results for the catch.

Kangaskhan will be one of the easier aspects of raid collection for anyone who bought a Kanto Tour ticket in Pokemon GO. There are eight Pokémon in total, half of which require three-star raids.

The other half requires legendary raids. These include the three legendary birds and Mewtwo. At least 4 decent trainers are required for these battles.

During the official Kanto Tour event day, raid passes were issued every hour on the hour for the number of raid completions required. Players still have a week to finish the collection, but Passports and Pokemon wont be that numerous.

To celebrate the recent reworks for Mega Evolution, this event will focus entirely on the mechanic.

Mega Evolution just got a big rework in Pokémon Go, and to celebrate, Niantic is hosting a Mega Moment event that will introduce Mega Kangaskhan to the game and put a focus on other Pokémon capable of the special mechanic.

From April 29 to May 1, players will have access to a new Special Research story with branching tasks, though you do need to be level five or over to participate.

During the event, players will choose between Venusaur, Charizard, and Blastoise and embark on the path to using Mega Evolution through completing Special Research tasks. Field Research will also be available to reward players with Mega Energy for several species of Pokémon capable of Mega Evolution. However, Kangaskhan Mega Energy will only be available by completing Mega Raids against Mega Kangaskhan for the time beginning.

Many of the Pokémon that have Mega Evolved forms available in Pokémon Go right now will also be spawning more frequently in the wild. This includes Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle, Slowpoke, Gastly, Mareep, Buneary, and Snover.

Mega Kangaskhan Raid Day will be happening on May 1 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. local time. During this Raid Day, Mega Kangaskhan will be found more often in Mega Raids. You can also get five Raid Passes free of charge from spinning Gym Photo Discs. This will be in effect while the event is happening and up until two hours after. Last but not least, you have a higher chance of getting a Shiny Kangaskhan.

This Pokemon’s maximum CP is 4,353. It’s fastest moves in battle include Low Kick and Mud Slap. As a Normal type Pokemon, it is weakest against Fighting types.

Pokemon only last in their Mega Evolved form for eight hours, so make sure to evolve them once you’re ready and have the time to go into Raids and Battles.

Mega Kangaskhan is a tough one to beat and will require at least two or three trainers to make sure of victory. There are reports of some gamers managing solo raids, but that is likely tied to having a ridiculous lineup of Pocket Monsters.

The good news is that Mega Kangaskhan is a Normal-type Mega Raid boss, meaning you have a range of options when it comes to the fighting types you can use against it. However, you will be limited to just fighting when grabbing the 2X weakness bonus, as it is the only one for Mega Kangaskhan.

Optimal raid counters will be Fighting types, as it is 2x weak to Fighting, and it is their only weakness. Shadow Pokemon will be the best choice, but as they arent very common and expensive to use, most counters will be based around other types of Pokemon.
