Although these are community items, the only way to acquire them is by purchasing the items from the in-game store. Each module costs 200 coins. These modules can be attached to Pokestops.

When active, the Magnetic Lure Module attracts Electric, Steel, and Rock Pokemon. A trainer must activate the Magnetic Lure module and wait for the Pokemon to appear near the Pokestop.

That’s not all. Initiating a Magnetic Lure Module at any Pokestop will allow trainers to evolve their Nosepass into Probopass and Magneton into Magnezone.

But these modules can only be bought using Pokecoins – the in-game currency. These coins can either be bought using real money or earned in-game by controlling gyms in Pokemon GO.

Trainers can win a gym by defeating an opponent who controls one. That said, when trainers acquire a gym, they can place only one Pokemon there at a time. Controlling a gym is the best way to earn coins, as a trainer can earn 50 coins a day. Since one earns 6 coins an hour, earning 50 coins would require keeping a Pokemon in the gym for 8 hours and 20 minutes.

Acquiring A Lure Module

1Purchase a Lure Module.

From the home screen/map screen, press the red and white Poké Ball to bring up the green menu.

Press the Shop button.

Scroll down the list of items you can purchase until you see the purple Lure Module. Lure Modules can be purchased individually or in groups of 8. 1 Lure Module costs 100 PokéCoins, and 8 Lure Modules cost 680 PokéCoins.

If you do not have enough PokéCoins to purchase your desired Lure Module, scroll down farther to purchase the amount of PokéCoins that you need. These coins cost real money!

Tap the Lure Module and then press the green Exchange For button.
