Yes, the Evolution Task is not retroactive. They are similar to Pancham where you need to Catch 32 Dark-type Pokémon or Swirlix where you need to Give your buddy 25 treats. However, there is no progress bar for Sylveon.
Once you earn 70 hearts, a separate evolution button will appear for Sylveon. You can also switch Eevee out as your buddy and the number of hearts will continue to be tracked.

Flareon is a Fire-type Eevee evolution, and is one of the original three Eeveelutions.
To evolve Eevee into Flareon, simply give it a Fire Stone.
You can find Fire Stones by the circle of rocks on the hill in the Lake of Outrage region of the Wild Area, and can also receive them as rewards from the Digging Duo in the Wild Area.

How To Evolve Eevee Into Sylveon In Pokmon Go
Sylveon was finally released into Pokémon Go on May 25th, 2021 as part of the Luminous Legends Y event.
Though it can only be used once, the easiest way to evolve an Eevee into Sylveon is to change its nickname to Kira and ensure you have at least 25 Eevee Candy.
Before you press evolve, however, make sure the silhouette for Sylveon is on the evolve button – if it’s not then you’re Eevee may evolve into a different Eeveelution.
If this does occur for the you, it can be easily fixed by closing Pokémon Go and opening it again.
Once you’ve used the name trick, Eevee can be evolved into Sylveon by earning 70 Buddy hearts with it, which means your chosen Eevee needs to be at Great Buddy Level. Swapping buddies will not reset your progress towards Sylveon, so feel free to change your Buddy Pokémon freely.
You’ll also still need 25 Eevee Candy.
This evolution method is in keeping with how you must have a high friendship level with an Eevee, along with it knowing a fairy-type move, if you wish to evolve it into a Sylveon in the main-line series.

When Pokémon Go launched, there were no evolution stones – items from the core games that allow you to evolve certain Pokémon. Eevee’s first three evolutions normally require these special items to evolve, so Pokémon Go left Eevee’s evolution up to chance. Sylveon, Eevee’s Fairy type evolution, has finally made its Pokemon Go debut. The next and final Eeveelution was unlocked on May 25, 2021.
In the core games, Sylveon has had two different means of evolution, Affection in the Pokemon X and Y, and Friendship combined with a Fairy type move in Pokemon Sword and Shield. Since neither mechanic exists in Pokemon Go, Niantic is instead using Pokemon Go Buddy Adventure in order to evolve Sylveon. Trainers must earn 70 hearts with Eevee as their Buddy Pokemon to evolve a Sylveon!
How To Find Out Approximate Cp And Iv Values Within Pokmon Go With The Appraisal Feature
Niantic originally released the Appraisal feature in 2016 in an effort to combat third-party apps. While the feature was useful, the information it gave about a Pokémons CP and IV value was rather vague. After three years, however, Niantic has revamped the feature, making it much easier to discover which of your Pokémon are the very best.
To get an Appraisal of your Pokémon, tap the menu in the bottom right corner and select Appraisal when viewing, and then your chosen Team Leader will give you the rundown.
The new Appraisal feature is divided into two stages.
In the first stage, your chosen Team Leader will comment on the size of your Pokémon, telling you how small or how bizarrely big your Pokémon is. This information doesnt factor into the prowess of battle so feel free to ignore it.
In the second stage, the Team Leader will tell you when or where you caught the Pokémon , but, more importantly, theyll show you the Pokémon stats Attack, Defence and HP.
Each stat has a bar that shows you where it ranks out of 15 on the IV scale. To help communicate this information, the stat bars are divided into three different sections:
- First section 1 to 5
- Second section 6 to 10
- Third section 11 to 15
The higher the IV stat, the better the Pokémons Attack, Defence or HP will be.
If a stat has an IV ranking of 15 the maximum possible stat then the bar will be coloured red. On the other hand, if a stat bar is completely empty, then the IV ranking for that stat is 0.

How To Get Vaporeon Jolteon And Flareon In Pokemon Go
The first Eeveelutions, Vaporeon, Jolteon and Flareon are relatively easy to obtain in Pokemon Go. To evolve Eevee into them, trainers simply have to feed it 25 Eevee candy. However, there is no guarantee which of the three Eevee will evolve to once youve used the nickname trick. Itll be a game of chance, but with the low candy requirement trainers will have plenty of chances to get all three.
Should You Get A Sylveon
The Fairy-type is an interesting mechanic because it was introduced in Gen 6. This means that Sylveon is one of the few impressive Fairy-types that you can get in any game. Keep in mind as well that Sylveon is only available from Gen 6 onwards. You cant get a Sylveon in the older games, so all you have to think about is getting one in the later games.
The only other evolution that may rival Sylveon is Espeon. Both of them are impressive when it comes to their Special stats. Sylveons advantage is that it can be a good support Pokemon. Depending on how you play it, you can have Sylveon be the offensive type or just be a support. You will rely on other Pokemon in your team.
Plus, Fairy-types are effective against Dragon-types because the latter is usually strong. Theres also a consensus that Sylveon is good in PVE but not that viable when it comes to PVP or competitive Pokemon battles. Any Steel or Poison-type can possibly knock out Sylveon when they have a high Attack. Good examples would be Tentacruel and Scizor.

What You Need To Do When Evolving Sylveon
The method is a bit easy, but it may take you a bit of time. Much like the other evolutions, you need to raise your Eevees Friendship at the appropriate amount. The catch is that the Eevee needs to have a Fairy-type move learned so that it evolves into Sylveon the next time it levels up with the right amount of Friendship.
The good thing is that Eevee from Generation VI onwards has a Fairy-type move called Baby-Doll Eyes when it reaches level 9. It can also learn another Fairy-type move at level 29 which is Charm. All you need to do is to have just one of those two, and when your Eevee has a high enough Friendship, it will evolve into Sylveon the next time it levels up.

It will take priority over Espeon or Umbreon when your Eevee levels up with a high amount of Friendship. What Do You Name Eevee To Get Sylveon In Pokmon Go
If you want to evolve Eevee in Pokémon Go quickly, the so-called name trick will do the job for you easily. The name trick in the game will guarantee a certain evolution for your Eevee, but only if you havent used it before namely, this interesting cheat works only once per account. In-game, the player can locate Kira, who takes care of the original Sylveon now, in the Seafolk Village, in the Steelix ship in the east. According to Kira, Sakura also tried to teach her about battling before she passed away. The player can fight Kira, though, in the game, and defeat her Sylveon.
