All The Eevee Nickname Tricks
When Pokémon Go launched, there were no evolution stones items from the core games that allow you to evolve certain Pokémon. Eevees first three evolutions normally require these special items to evolve, so Pokémon Go left Eevees evolution up to chance. However, the folks over at Niantic did hide a little Easter eggs in game. If you rename an Eevee to these nicknames, each based on a notable NPCs Pokémon from the anime or core games, theyll evolve into exactly the Eeveelution you want, but you can only use each one once per account:
- Kira for Sylveon*
Remember, it only works once for each. After that, youre back to random chance, special lure modules, or walking with Eevee as your buddy. So, choose wisely. Pick the highest stat and highest CP Eevee you can for each one.
Pokemon Go Eeveelutions: Eevee Nicknames
The Pokemon GO Eevee nicknames work by renaming the Eevee you want to a specific name, then evolving it. This will force one of the eight evolutions. Beware though, because this trick only works once, so once youve used it, you cant nickname an Eevee the same thing again. Here are all of the Eevee nicknames to acquire the specific evolutions:
Flareon: PyroGlaceon: ReaSylveon: Kira
Many wonder why these specific names have to be given to an Eevee to guarantee a certain evolution. Well, its all down to Pokemon lore.
When it comes to Sparky, Rainer, and Pyro, these are the names of the three elder Eevee brothers from the Pokemon anime, who show off their respective Eevelutions to Ash and the gang.
Sakura and Tamao also come from the Pokemon anime when Ash meets the five Kimono sisters Sakura with Espeon and Tamao with Umbreon.
As for Leafeon and Glaceon, their nicknames herald from trainers in the game Pokemon Sun and Moon. Linnea has Leafeon in her team and Rea has Glaceon.
Finally, Sylveon takes the name Kira from one of the Eevium Z trainers.
Dont worry though the Eevee nickname method isnt the only way of obtaining each of the Eeveelutions in Pokemon GO.
How To Evolve Eevee Into Flareon In Pokemon Go
Flareon is the 136th Pokemon in the Pokedex, and the third of the original Eevee evolutions. As its name and appearance suggest, Flareon is the fire evolution, so it’s good to have on hand when battling grass and bug type Pokemon.
To get as many Eevee candies as possible, add an Eevee or an Eevee-lution as your buddy and turn on Adventure Sync. This will let you earn candies simply by carrying your smartphone around, even with the Pokemon Go app closed.
Like Vaporeon and Jolteon, Flareon can also be caught in the wild on super rare occasions, and can also be evolved from an Eevee, with a one-in-three chance, by using 25 Eevee candies. Its evolution can be locked-in by renaming the Eevee “Pyro” before evolving.

How To Evolve Eevee Into Vaporeon
Vaporeon is a Water-type Eevee evolution, and is one of the original three Eeveelutions.
To evolve Eevee into Vaporeon, simply give it a Water Stone.
You can find Water Stones by the circle of rocks on the hill in the Lake of Outrage region of the Wild Area, and can also receive them as rewards from the Digging Duo in the Wild Area.
Go Beyond Level 40 With Eeveelutions
With the recently announced increase in the level cap, reaching the top levels in Pokémon Go now requires completing Special Level-Up Research. For level 42, Trainers need to evolve one of each of Eevee’s unique evolutions. This task isn’t retroactive either, so you will need to evolve all seven again, even if you have them already. Fortunately, most veteran trainers have tons of Eevee Candy, so even the random chance of Vaporeon, Flareon, and Jolteon shouldn’t been too hard on your existing stash of candies.

Catching Eeveelution In The Wild
In addition to evolving Eevee, it is also possible to catch all eight Eeveelutions in the wild, though this method of obtaining them is a bit more difficult than the evolution method. Each Eeveelution can be found in the Lake of Outrage region of the Wild Area. Each Eeveelution only spawns during specific weather conditions. This area can only be reached once you have obtained the Rotom Bike upgrade that allows you to cross water. You will receive this upgrade during story events on Route 9, after earning your sixth gym badge. Ditto can also be found in this area, though it cannot be caught until you have earned all eight gym badges, due to its high level.

How Do You Get An Espeon In Pokemon Go
The only way you can obtain one is by evolving an Eevee. Evolving an Eevee into an Espeon is a similar process to evolving it into an Umbreon, though with a few key differences. In both cases, the first order of business is to become close friends with your Eevee, so go ahead and make it your buddy, then take out on a long walk with you.
Nicknames That Guarantee Eevee Evolutions:

To evolve Eevee into Flareon, simply give it a Fire Stone.

A new event is underway in Pokemon Sword and Shield. This week, every Eevee evolution is appearing more frequently in raids in the Nintendo Switch games, and players even have a chance to catch a Shiny Eevee.
Until Nov. 28, all eight Eevee evolutions — Vaporeon, Jolteon, Flareon, Espeon, Umbreon, Leafeon, Glaceon and Sylveon — can be found in Max Raid dens across the Wild Area, Isle of Armor and Crown Tundra. On top of that, players can encounter Gigantamax Eevee and Shiny Eevee in five-star raids during the event, although these will be much rarer.

The Eevee evolution event runs until 3:59 p.m. PT / 6:59 p.m. ET on Nov. 28. Before the featured Pokemon can begin appearing in your game, you need to connect to the internet to refresh your raid dens. You can do so either by activating the Y-Comm or opening the Mystery Gift menu and selecting Get the Wild Area news.
Eevee isn’t the only Shiny Pokemon that players can get right now. Retail chain GameStop is giving away free codes for a Shiny Zamazenta until Nov. 26. These codes can only be redeemed in Pokemon Sword.

To Evolve Eevee Into Glaceon:
Note: It would seem as though you need to be within the normal range of the PokéStop in order to evolve Leafeon or Glaceon – not the extended radius. Always be sure to check that the icon in the evolve button is the right Pokémon and not a question mark.
How To Get And Use The Glacial Lure & Mossy Lure To Get Glaceon And Leafeon
The final current Eeveelutions available in Pokemon Go are Glaceon and Leafeon, and this duo has the most specific evolution method yet.
First of all, dont forget that you can do the name trick once again to get Glaceon and Leafeon for the first time. As detailed above, name your Eevee Rea to have it evolve to Glaceon, and name your Eevee Linnea to have it evolve to Leafeon. After that, however, youll need to fulfil special requirements to evolve more of these Pokemon.
Specifically, in order to evolve more Eevee into Glaceon or Leafeon, youll need some new items: the Glacial Lure and the Mossy Lure. These two new types of Lure Module are available in the shop and will soon be appearing as Field Research Rewards. These lures exist to make you more able to catch different Pokemon the Glacial lures in Water and Ice type Pokemon, while the Mossy attracts Bug and Grass types.
Theres an added benefit to these, however: when theyre placed, they can impact Eevee Evolution. Simply place one of the lures in a Pokestop if you place the Mossy Lure youll be able to evolve any Eevee you have into Leafeon while standing in that Pokestops radius . If you place the Glacial Lure on a Pokestop, thats when youll be able to evolve into Glaceon just remain within the Pokestops radius. This works even if you didnt place the lure, too, so you can share this chance with other players.

Pokemon Sword and Shield Espeon is a Psychic Type Sun Pokémon, which makes it weak against Bug, Ghost, Dark type moves. You can find and catch Espeon in Route 4 with a 1% chance to appear during All Weather weather. The Max IV Stats of Espeon are 65 HP, 65 Attack, 130 SP Attack, 60 Defense, 95 SP Defense, and 110 Speed.

Sylveon, Eevee’s Fairy type evolution, has finally made its Pokemon Go debut. The next and final Eeveelution was unlocked on May 25, 2021.

Standard Lure Modules in Pokémon Go are pretty simple: theyre items earned in a couple of ways in-game that can be placed on PokéStops to increase the amount of wild Pokémon that spawn nearby, for a short period of time.
Theyre primarily acquired through the in-game shop, either as individual purchases or as part of the various box bundles that are frequently rotated through the store.
Youll also earn them as rewards from other means occasionally, like levelling up, in a similar way to things like Incubators or Lucky Eggs, but dont exact that to happen often.
To use a regular Lure, simply tap on a PokéStop and then tap on the little white space above the disc in the close-up screen, and youll be able to add a Lure from your inventory there.
