How To Breed Eevee
If youve got your heart set on a shiny Eevee or want them to have a certain ability, move, or nature, your best bet to breed your own using the Pokémon Daycares located on Route 5 and in the Wild Area.
To do this, drop off your Eevee with another one belonging to the opposite gender or a Ditto and walk around until they make an egg. If either Pokémon has the desired nature you wish to pass on, have that one hold an Everstone prior to placing them in the Daycare.
Depending on which ability you want your Eeveelution to have, youll either want to use an Eevee with the ability Run Away/Adaptability or Anticipation . Breeding with a Pokémon who has a hidden ability will increase your chances of passing that ability down.

How To Evolve Eevee Into Leafeon
Leafeon is a Grass-type Eevee evolution introduced in Pokemon Diamond and Pearl.
You no longer have to bring Eevee to a certain location with a Moss Rock to evolve it into Leafeon in Pokemon Sword and Shield. Simply give it a Leaf Stone so it will evolve!’

How To Evolve Eevee Into Glaceon
Glaceon is an Ice-type Eevee evolution first introduced in Pokemon Diamond and Pearl.
Like Leafeon, Glaceon‘s evolution method was also changed in Pokemon Sword and Shield. You no longer have to bring it to a location with an Ice Rock. Instead, give it an Ice Stone to make it evolve.
Yes – you can also obtain an Ice Stone from the set of rocks on the hill in the Lake of Outrage region in the Wild Area, or, as a reward from the Digging Duo.
How Does Eevee Evolution Work In Pokemon Sword & Shield
To evolve Eevee in Pokemon Sword & Shield into one of its eight forms, there are several things you need to do, depending on which Eeveelution you want to get. For most, it is as simple as giving Eevee an evolution stone. Others, however, will require you to raise the Eevees Friendship Level while paying attention to the time of day. Attack Based Evolutions In Pokmon Sword And Shield
A couple of Pokémon will only evolve if they learn a specific attack.
These attacks can be learned by levelling up the Pokémon and through the use of TMs or TRs.
Below you’ll find a list of all the Pokémon in Sword and Shield that evolve when they learn a specific attack, the name of the attack and the level at which they learn it:
- Bonsly evolves into Sudowoodo by learning Mimic at Level 16
- Clobbopus evolves into Grapploct by learning Taunt at Level 35
- Eevee evolves into Sylveon by having a high friendship level and knowing either Baby-Doll Eyes at Level 15 or Charm at Level 45
- Mime Jr. evolves into Mr. Mime by learning Mimic at Level 32
- Piloswine evolves into Mamoswine when it knows Ancient Power, which it learns from evolving from Swinub
- Steene evolves into Tsareena by learning Stomp at Level 28
Where To Find The Soothe Bell In Pokemon Sword & Shield
Once you have enough friendship, I had my Eevee at level 32 but it may be available at a lower level. You also need to have one fairy move on Eevee. Eevee learns Baby-Doll Eyes by itself so you can go to the Poke Center and remember that move if you have already forgotten it.
To summarize:
- Mine was level 30+ but its probably available lower
- Be pretty good friends with Eevee
- Have a fairy move on Eevee
- I camped at least twice with my Eevee

Day Night And Moveset Considerations
True to their titles, the Sun and Moonlight Eeveelutions still evolve based on the time of day: Espeon during the day, Umbreon at night. This sounds simple enough until you factor in the odd way that the day/night system works in Sword & Shield, which allows for either Pokémon to be evolved during the same time in the evening.
If you have not completed the game yet, the areas outside of the Wild Area will be locked in plot-relevant times of day , with only the Wild Area registering the actual time of your Switch’s internal clock. This means that at 8pm at night, an Eevee will evolve into an Espeon instead of an Umbreon if the level-up takes place outside of the Wild Area.
So for those of you who want an Umbreon before reaching the post-game, beware: nighttime only registers when you are in the Wild Area and can visually see that the sun has gone down in-game. If youre impatient, you can simply set your Switchs clock to the evening and hop to the Wild Area to get your Umbreon.
That is, of course, if your Eevee does not know any fairy-type moves no matter the time of day, if it knows even one fairy-type move, it will evolve into a Sylveon. For those of you who want the fairy-type evolution, most Eevee are found with the fairy-type move Baby-Doll Eyes. Otherwise, you can hatch an Eevee who has inherited Charm from a Minccino father.
Conversely, if you definitely do not want a Sylveon, make sure to have Eevee forget Baby-Doll Eyes before levelling up!
