The main story will be the same, but some elements have been expanded upon. There will also be a brand new plot regarding mega evolutions.
If you’ve played Ruby or Sapphire before, then expect the same main story beats, although some scenes and characters have been fleshed out to provide more detail in Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire. According to Ohmori, most parts of the original narrative have been revisited to provide added depth.

Get Both The Acro Bike And The Mach Bike
Another important side quest should end at the Battle Resort. You need to talk to a man on a bike at the southeast side beach of the Battle Resort. This should be the third character to notice your Rydel bike.
The first person to notice your bike is the Hex Maniac to the north of the desert area of Route 111. You will need the Mach Bike to ride up a dirt slope to her.
The second person to notice your bike is a bird Pokemon trainer at the far north side of Route 119. You will need a Pokemon with Waterfall and the Acro Bike to reach him.
After talking to all three characters, return to the Bike Shop in Mauville City. The owner will allow you to use both bikes at the same time! With both bikes in hand, you can reach all areas and items in the Safari Zone.
