Torterra is literally one of my only good grass-types that are at Great League cp, but is it any good? And if so, what moves should it have?

George is better at #67.

Sometimes… the Ground typing for Torterra makes it better vs the Mudbois and Galarian Stunfisk… so both have their uses.

I lead Gunfisk and have Azumarill on team as well and a Shadow Razor Leaf Toreterra is a huge threat… much scarier for me than a Shadow Victreebel. Mudbois would hate facing it too.

It may not be high ranked but it takes out the top 2 in the ranks and a lot more of the meta so it definitely has potential to be very useful.

Frenzy Plant of course would be nice but Razor Leaf alone can make it pretty threatening and other moves will give you extra coverage at least.

To find the Team GO Rocket Leaders, you need a Rocket Radar. Before that, you have to defeat six Team GO Rocket Grunts and get one Mysterious Component from each. You will then combine the six Mysterious Components to create a Rocket Radar.

Equip the Rocket Radar to find Team GO Rocket Hideouts on your map. There are three Leaders, so you have a one-in-three chance to find Cliff on the first Hideout you check.

Im sad to report that Turtwig Community Day is likely just one for collectors or newcomers looking to back an easy Stage 2 Pokemon to add to their team.

Starter Pokemon are just a tad above average by design. Any Pokemon GO Community Day centered around them is far less likely to rile up hardcore raiders. That being said, it does introduce shiny Turtwig to Pokemon Go. That means it will be possible to get that yellow/gold Torterra that seemed oh so common in the mid-00s, thanks to the arrival of online battling through the GTS.

That being said, its another opportunity to farm stardust for powering up more reliable Pokemon, or to teach your strongest creatures a second charge move. If you happen to have any Star Pieces left from the Go Fest bonus week, Turtwig Community Day paired with a three-hour lure can make for some big gains!

You need a total of 125 Turtwig candy for each Turtwig you evolve into Torterra. As we did in the Ralts community day post, heres what we suggest aiming for during Turtwig community day:

• 2x Torterra w/ Razor Leaf / Frenzy Plant
• 1x Torterra w/ Razer Leaf / Earthquake

Torterra can actually learn Stone Edge, but given Rock-type moves are more commonly used against Flying-type Pokemon , its not really a moveset worth considering.

How To Catch Torterra In Pokemon Go

If you want to obtain a Torterra in Pokemon Go, your best bet will be obtaining enough Turtwigs to eventually evolve into Torterra. You can find Turtwigs anywhere you can find grass type Pokemon spawning. Parks, hiking trails, and garden locations will give you the best chance at getting a Turtwig to spawn. Since it is part of a starter line, it is more uncommon than other spawns, but still not too bad to locate. In order to evolve your Turtwig into Grotle, you will need 25 Turtwig candies, and another 100 candies in order to evolve it into Torterra. If you want to skip this process, Torterra has appeared as a tier four raid boss in the past. Keep your eyes peeled for a Torterra raid near you to skip the candy grind.

What Do You Use Against Cliff

When planning your counters against Cliff, youll want to start your team with a fire or flying-type Pokémon. This choice depends on whether Cliff is using either Poliwrath or Hariyama as his second Pokémon, because, if he is, then your first Pokémon could cause some additional damage to them after defeating Seedot.

Turtwig Community Day is set to take play on Sept. 15, 2019. But be warned: Community Day times have been changed yet again. For the foreseeable future, Pokemon GO Community Day times will revert from 4-7 p.m. local time back to their original 11-2 p.m. local time slot.
