How To Evolve Eevee

Pokemon Go How To Evolve Eevee into a Vaporeon Jolteon or Flareon

In 2020, there are more evolutions available but unfortunately, we dont have Sylveon just yet.

Fortunately, there is a workaround to evolving Eevee. All you need to do is change the nickname to get the evolution that you want.

As discovered by people on Reddit, renaming your Eevee Rainer, Sparky or Pyro before its evolved will give you the corresponding evolution. For example, if youre after a Flareon, you should rename your Eevee Pyro, save and restart your game and then evolve it.

This hack is also true of the Pokemon Go Gen 2 update for Espeon and Umbreon. If you have 25 Eevee candies saved up, you need to do the following to incorporate the two new evolutions to your collection: use the name Sakura on your Eevee to evolve it into Espeon, and use the name Tamao to evolve your Eevee into Umbreon.

Its a similar story to Pyro, Sparky and Rainer the names Sakura and Tamao are references to the original anime series Pokemon. Sakura and Tamao feature as two of the five Kimono sisters.

Its not the first time Pokémon Go has included a nod to the original series. If you want to get Pikachu as a starter Pokémon, you have to loosely follow the plot of the first episode of the cartoon Pokémon, I Choose You!.

The corresponding nicknames for the most currently available evolutions are as follows:

  • Vaporeon Rainer
  • Glaceon Rea

The Fast Way To Get Vaporeon

With that established, lets revisit our original question of How to evolve Eevee into Vaporeon in Pokemon Go?

Well, the fastest way to do this is to rename your Eevee to Rainer doing so should update the evolution screen to show Vaporeons silhouette as the expected evolution result.

Be wary though trainers, this Eeveelution naming trick only works once so either use it on an Eevee with strong stats for a good Vaporeon or use it to fill out your Pokedex as a one-off way to do it quickly.

What Does Buddy Adventure Allow You To Do In Pokmon Go

Once you reach Trainer level 2, Buddy Adventure introduces a series of new activities and benefits:

  • You can play with and feed berries to your Buddy in AR mode
  • Your Buddy will follow you on the map screen
  • Increasing your Buddy level unlocks a range of perks, including additional aid during the catch phase, a CP boost, and finding items
  • Up to three players can share the same AR space with their Pokémon to take a picture

As before, walking a set distance will earn you Candy, and this still works outside of the Buddy system – meaning you don’t have to have them on the map in ‘Adventure’ mode for this to work, in case you forget to fed them regularly.

You can also swap between multiple Buddies per day, allowing you to earn the above perks across multiple Pokémon.

Pichu Event Costumes In Pokmon Go

There is a good selection of costumed Pichus for you to collect in Pokémon Go.

Costumed Pichu can only be found in eggs that are collected during the event period they’re connected to. This means that, if you hold onto one of these eggs, it’s possible that you might hatch a Pichu outside of an event.

Typically Pichu can be found in 7km, but it’s always a good idea to check the specifics of the event just in case they’re appearing in additional egg pools. This will make your task of tracking down that special Pichu a lot easier.

Here are all the costumed Pichu’s that are currently available:

Eevee Evolutions: How To Evolve Eevee In Pokmon Sword And Shield Pokmon Go

All eight Eevee evolutions in one place.

An age-old problem for Pokémon players since the very first games has been how to choose between the multiple Eevee evolutions. Back then, of course, there were only three choices, but nowadays you have to choose between eight different Pokémon, known as Eeveelutions.

Finding an Eevee is easier in the modern games than in the original Red and Blue, but knowing how to evolve Eevee is another question altogether and the answer is slightly more complicated than you might think. You see, Eevee doesnt evolve like most Pokémon simply through levelling up and each of the Eevee evolutions have a unique way to obtain them. Depending on the Pokémon you want Eevee to evolve into, youll have to try a different tactic.

To make things even more complicated, the rules for how to evolve Eevee in Pokémon GO are completely different. But well get to that later, after weve covered the eight different ways to evolve Eevee in Pokémon Sword and Shield. Whether you want to use Jolteon in Pokémon Sword and Shield ranked, Umbreon in Pokémon GO ranked, or just a Sylveon to join you on your travels, weve got you covered.

Were here to help you choose which Eeveelution you want and help you get it! Dont worry, its not as complicated as it sounds.

Pokmon Go: Targeted Evolutions Of Eevee

How else can eeveelutions be targeted? For Vaporeon, Jolteon, and Flareon, this is sadly not possible, since the elemental stones arent available in Pokémon GO the three original eeveelutions can only be obtained by simple chance during the evolution of Eevee. However, all other forms can be obtained specifically if you complete a few tasks.

How To Capture Eevee In Pokmon Go

HOW TO Evolve Eevee into Flareon, Vaporeon & Jolteon in Pokémon Let’s Go Pikachu & Eevee

To capture Eevee we have two options: either find it in the wild or through the hatching of a 5km Egg .

The first thing we have to say about Pokémon #133 of the National Pokédex is that it is an original species from Kanto, Generation I. It was there that its first three evolutions of Electric, Water and Fire types were introduced. For Generation II, their Psychic- and Dark-type variants were introduced. From there, a jump to Generation IV with the Plant and Ice type options to, finally, welcome the last member of the family, Fairy type , in Generation VI. Its capture rate is 40% under normal conditions. All eight evolutions are now available on Pokémon GO.

In Pokémon GO, Eevee maintains Normal type, so it is weak to Fighting type and resistant to Ghost type. To evolve, 25 candies are always necessary regardless of the conditions. We believe it is necessary to emphasize this because candies are mandatory to start the evolution process. Its base stats are 104 in ATT, 114 in DEF and 146 in stamina, rather modest characteristics that are not worth keeping. Therefore, evolving this species is highly recommended if we want to use it in the GO Battle League or in a Raid.

How To Get Candy Easily And Quickly

Candy is one of the essential resources in Pokémon Go. From power up to evolution, candies are instrumental in strengthening the Pokémon and enhancing their processes. Candies are a combination of Stardust that forms the central mechanism of the game in the process of finding, catching, and evolving Pokémon.

There are numerous ways in which you can get Candy easily and quickly. Some of these ways are:

Alternate Eevee Evolution Methods For Leafeon Glaceon Umbreon And Espeon

Gen 4’s Leafeon and Glaceon have a second Eevee evolution method, by using the Mossy Lure or Glacial Lure respectively. When you’re in range of that PokéStop with the Lure enabled, go to your Eevee and choose the Evolution.

Meanwhile, Gen 2’s Umbreon and Espeon also have a second Eevee evolution method. Walk your Eevee as a Buddy for 10km, then evolve it either during the night or day and it’ll turn into the desired evolution.

Note you specifically need to walk 10k and earn two Candies in the process, then keep Eevee as your Buddy when evolving, and be either day or night during the game itself for it to work .

Since the naming trick only works once per evolution type, this appears to be a useful way to get a second Espeon or Umbreon with some reliability.

How To Find Out Approximate Cp And Iv Values Within Pokmon Go With The Appraisal Feature

Niantic originally released the Appraisal feature in 2016 in an effort to combat third-party apps. While the feature was useful, the information it gave about a Pokémon’s CP and IV value was rather vague. After three years, however, Niantic has revamped the feature, making it much easier to discover which of your Pokémon are the very best.

To get an Appraisal of your Pokémon, tap the menu in the bottom right corner and select Appraisal when viewing, and then your chosen Team Leader will give you the rundown.

The new Appraisal feature is divided into two stages.

In the first stage, your chosen Team Leader will comment on the size of your Pokémon, telling you how small or how bizarrely big your Pokémon is. This information doesn’t factor into the prowess of battle – so feel free to ignore it.

In the second stage, the Team Leader will tell you when or where you caught the Pokémon , but, more importantly, they’ll show you the Pokémon stats – Attack, Defence and HP.

Each stat has a bar that shows you where it ranks out of 15 on the IV scale. To help communicate this information, the stat bars are divided into three different sections:

  • First section – 1 to 5
  • Second section – 6 to 10
  • Third section – 11 to 15

The higher the IV stat, the better the Pokémon’s Attack, Defence or HP will be.

If a stat has an IV ranking of 15 – the maximum possible stat – then the bar will be coloured red. On the other hand, if a stat bar is completely empty, then the IV ranking for that stat is 0.

How To Evolve Eevee Into Sylveon

How To Control What Eevee Evolves Into In " Pokemon Go," So Vaporeon ...

The final Eeveelution is Sylveon, the Fairy-type form added to the Pokemon world in the Pokemon X and Pokemon Y generation. This one easily requires the most in-game work to obtain, and like Espeon and Umbreon it starts with making an Eevee your walking buddy.

Once Eevee is your buddy, you’ll need to interact with it in order to earn Hearts, which increases the bond of friendship between you and Eevee. 70 Hearts are needed in order to evolve Eevee to Sylveon, and you’ll know your Eevee is ready to evolve when Sylveon’s silhouette appears in the Evolve button on your Eevee’s status screen.

Activities with your Eevee that will gain Hearts include:

  • Battling Together – Using Eevee in battle at Gyms, Raids, Team Go Rocket, or Trainer Battles earns two Hearts once per day.
  • Feeding a Berry – Every three berries earns one Heart, up to four Hearts per day
  • Finding a New Place – Activating a PokeStop or Gym that you’ve never used before earns two Hearts once per day
  • Playing Together – Tapping Eevee in AR Mode allows you to pet it, giving two Hearts whenever it spins around, up to once per day
  • Snapshot – Taking a picture of your Eevee will earn two Hearts once per day
  • Walking – Every 2 KM walked earns one Heart, up to four Hearts per day

Also, completing a certain amount of activities will put Eevee in an “excited mood,” which doubles the amount of daily Hearts you can earn.

Eevee Evolutions: How To Evolve Into Sylveon Glaceon Leafeon Umbreon Espeon Vaporeon Flareon And Jolteon In Pokemon Go

Eevee Evolution is meant to be a random process in Pokemon Go. Once you press evolve on an Eevee, you have a random chance of getting one of the original three eeveelutions. The others can be obtained through other means, all of which require a bit of effort. There’s also some useful shortcuts and cheats of a sort to get around the random factor. We’ll detail all of that below.

There’s seven Eevee Evolutions in the game so far. Vaporeon, Jolteon and Flareon from generation 1 are completely down to random chance. Umbreon and Espeon from generation 2 and Leafeon and Glaceon from generation 3 are obtained in specific ways. The final Eevee Evolution is Sylveon, from generation 6, and it was finally added to the game in May 2021.

So, which Eevee Evolution do you want? You’ll want to carefully consider this – each evolved form of Eevee is a different type, so you’ll want to consider strengths and weaknesses with our Pokemon Go Type Chart, at least. Plus which you think is cutest.

How To Evolve Eevee Into Glaceon And Leafeon

Your grass and ice types also have a method you can rely on to get the one you want. Here are the steps you need to take:

Step 1: Catch an Eevee.

Step 2: Get either a Mossy Lure or a Glacial Lure for 200 coins each.

Step 3: If you want a Leafeon, use the Mossy Lure at a PokéStop and evolve your Eevee. If you want a Glaceon, use the Glacial Lure at a PokéStop Eevee.

What Is A Good Level To Evolve Eevee

Level 36 is required for further development of Evie. There are several methods you can use to upgrade your Eevee. You can use the Level Up Trainer or participate in various expeditions. As Eevee levels up, it will evolve, and at level 36, it can evolve into one of the three forms found in Pokemon Quest.

To Evolve Eevee Into Leafeon:

    Eevee Nicknames For Evolutions

First, you’re going to need to know the Eevee evolution nicknames. To start this journey off right, start with Pokemon number 133, Eevee. This is a Normal type Pokemon that’ll appear pretty much anywhere around the world. Not in the middle of the ocean or the desert, mind you but pretty much anywhere else.

The first three Eevee evolutions are Vaporeon, Jolteon, and Flareon. To evolve into each of these Pokemon, you’ll need only change the name of your Eevee. Change to Rainer for Vaporeon, Sparky for Jolteon, or Pyro for Flareon. This trick will only work ONCE for each of the three first evolutions of Eevee.

The rest are a bit more complicated. Nicknames for the rest of the Eevee evolutions require more than JUST a nickname, but here they are anyway: Espeon is Sakura, Umbreon is Tamao, Leafeon is Linnea, and Glaceon is Rea. Those are, in order, Psychic, Dark, Grass, and Ice types.
