Pokmon Go Fest 2020 The Best Ways To Prepare
Pokémon GO Fest 2020 is just around the corner, with less than a week left before Niantic brings the action of the normally in-person event to everyone around the world. Thats right, you no longer need to travel to Chicago or other large cities to take part in the massive celebration of all things Pokémon GO. But with so much to look forward to, you might wonder how to prepare for such a crazy event. Heres the best ways to prepare for Pokémon GO Fest 2020.
How To Prepare Yourself
And your in-game character isnt the only one that needs items ready to go. Its the middle of summer, so for most of the US and other countries its pretty hot outside. Pokémon GO Fest 2020 will have you doing a lot of moving around in that heat, so be ready with helpful items of your own. Sun screen and a hat are a must in some areas, such as my local Florida. Water will be important as well, especially if you cant head into a nearby restarant or park to grab some. Speaking of which, even though youll likely be outside you will want to keep a face mask nearby in case you cant distance from other players or need to go somewhere indoors to cool off. And a good pair of shoes will be very important if you plan to go for multiple hours.

At Pokmon Go Fest 2020 Millions Of Players Caught Nearly A Billion Pokmon

GamesBeat Summit 2022 returns with its largest event for leaders in gaming on April 26-28th. Reserve your spot here!
The annual fest took place on July 25 and July 26 as an online-only event, in contrast to prepandemic years, when it was held as a physical event in big parks in different regions. I joined for a bit on Sunday and collected some new critters such as the Tangela, Stunfisk, and the Qwilfish.
The San Francisco-based Niantic said that millions of people attended online from 124 countries and regions. They defeated more than 58 million Team Go Rocket members, as Team Rocket was taking over a number of locations as part of the special event. Players sent 55 million gifts to each other, and on average they walked nearly 15 kilometers each.
Niantic said that it will donate more than $10 million to U.S. nonprofits that help local communities rebuild after being hit with the pandemic, and it is funding new projects from Black gaming and augmented reality creators who build for the Niantic platform, which uses real-world locations.

The Future Of Pokmon Go Events
I was a longtime Ingress player before Pokémon Go was even announced and I was always worried that the way Niantic hosted its live events would be prohibitive for most players. Between tickets selling out and the cost of travel to get to one of the few cities around the world lucky enough to host a live event, I’ve never been able to make it to a Pokémon Go event and was only able to attend a handful of live Ingress events. There are also many more who struggle with these games because of a physical disability or having an atypical work schedule.
While Hanke has spoken at length about the future of live events for Pokémon Go and other Niantic games, I hope that everyone at Niantic looks to the success of Pokémon Go Fest 2020, as well as the Play at Home Community Days, and considers incorporating the accessibility of virtual events into future live events. The pandemic has forced Niantic to evolve Pokémon Go and its other games, but I hope that the creators can see the massive benefits this sort of accessibility brings to everyone playing even after the pandemic has passed.
I still hope to be able to attend a live event for Pokémon Go eventually, but if Niantic can balance its live events with virtual events like Pokémon Go Fest 2020, I won’t feel as though I’ve completely missed out on an important aspect of the game.

Victini At Go Fest 2020
Most notably, GO Fest attendees receive the Mythical Pokémon of the year earlier than all other players. Tasked with the Rocket Straight to Victory research, ticketed players were able to obtain Victini this weekend, while those without tickets will have to wait for the release of the free equivalent of the research. Those who already received Victini will be able to play the free version as well upon release. At the end of the questline, instead of receiving a second Victini, they will receive Victini candy. There is no other method in the game of receiving candy for one-time catches like Victini, Mew, Celebi, and Jirachi.

The first Habitat will be available at 10 AM local time and the last will end at 8 PM local time.
