The Mystic Shell is an ingredient for cooking and, as described in our guide to Pokemon Quest recipes and ingredients is only drugged in World 12 and is even a rare drop of the legendary Pokemon who will be the boss.
Basically, the Mystic Shell allows us to cook the Ambrosia of Legend and this is how we will attract the rarest Pokemon.
Once you have collected some Mystic Shells, the next step is to cook the Ambrosia of Legend. The above recipe will always create a Special quality Ambrosia of Legends, which can attract any Legendary Pokemon. You can also use Rainbow Matter in place of any of the Precious ingredients, but do note that it is not required to attract Legendary or Mythical Pokémon.
Its important to make sure to use different types of Big ingredients in your ingredient slots. If you use, for example, Icy Rock in each of the remaining four slots, it will essentially overwrite your use of the Mystical Shell. Instead of creating the Ambrosia of Legends, youll instead craft a Blue Soda a la Cube and attract only normal Pokémon, wasting your Mystical Shell. This is where swapping in Rainbow Matter can come in handy.
Contrary to popular belief, you do not need to use Mystical Shell in more than one ingredient slot. Any recipe crafted using Mystical Shell and at least three slots filled with Precious quality ingredients will create the Special quality Ambrosia of Legends recipe. Do this and you will obtain at least one of any of the Legendary or Mythical Pokémon available in the game.

How To Cook Ambrosia Of Legends
By cooking the Ambrosia of Legends recipe, you get a chance to attract Legendary and Mythical Pokémon. You wont be able to obtain the necessary material to unlock this recipe until youre near the end of the game, as the required Mystical Shell wont drop until you reach levels 12-1 and higher .
Once you have Mystical Shell, the recipes to attract the Pokémon are simple. Aside from the Mystical Shell, there arent any specific ingredients required to attract Legendary and Mythical Pokémon, so you can fill the empty ingredient slots with whatever you want. The quality of the dish will matter, but personal culinary skills are not required.

Okay, so – there’s a bit of housekeeping here around things you’ll need to do in Pokemon Quest to even be eligible to catch these legendary Pokemon. First off, you’ll need to make sure that you’re actually at the right point in the game – these are end-game, legendary beasts – you’re not going to be catching them early on. Follow our advice around things like cooking recipes and evolution in order to put together teams of Pokemon that’ll get you through the main core of the game.
When you get to the twelfth string of missions, on Happenstance Island, you know it’s time for Legendary Pokemon. Those are the missions starting with 12-1.
On these levels, there’s a chance a legendary Pokemon will appear as the final boss. It’s only ever a chance – so you may need to grind out these missions for that to happen. When you defeat the legendary boss Pokemon, however, there’s a special bonus: you have a chance to get Mystical Shells as a drop. Mystical Shells will be your main recipe ingredient in creating the Ambrosia of Legends, which in turn can attract Legendary Pokemon to become your allies.
Once you have enough of these drops, you can cook the Ambrosia of Legends for a chance to attract a legendary. It’s the same as cooking anything else, and so will take time to complete and of course has an element of random chance about it.

Best Way To Farm Mystical Shells
Just beat like 12-7 and have a 21k team, trying to farm mystical shells so whats the best method
12-B is the best place to go.
If you cannot defeat the boss, no problem you can easily pass the first two waves with 2 or 4 shells in hands, then you can just pay 30 PM tickets and leave.
What is a recommended team level for beating 12B consistently? Or at lease getting through a couple waves.
i dont recommend anyone paying 30 PM tickets to get any loot. It took me 1.5 days of casual playing to get from barely beating 12-b to beating it 70% of the time. And 2 more days to fully auto it.
…am I doing something wrong? I have a team of ~27k and can’t get past 12-5…bulkup machamp, psychic Alakazam, dig golem. I haven’t been able to find a staryu with decent bingos. I only have 8 mystic shells, I seem to get them once every 10 runs or so.

Pokemon Quest lets you catch all 151 Pokemon from the original generation of Pokemon games, and that includes the immensely strong Legendary Pokemon. But how do you catch Pokemon Quests Legendary Pokemon?
Well first of all, you dont catch Pokemon in Pokemon Quest like in any other Pokemon game. What you have to do is make a stew from ingredients to lead Pokemon into your home base so that they befriend you and join your party.
There are a ton of different kinds of food you can make depending on the ingredients you put in the pot, but those foods will just give you regular Pokemon. To attract Legendary Pokemon, you need to make a specific kind of dish: the Ambrosia of Legends.
This dish, according to our previous guide on cooking recipes, is made with either one Mystical Shell and four of any ingredient three Mystical Shells and two Rainbow Matter or five Mystical Shells.
However, YouTuber Verlisify found that using two or more Rainbow Matter and one Mystical Shell earned him a Mewtwo. So the optimal recipe for acquiring Legendary Pokemon is actually one Mystical Shell with four Rainbow Matter. Keep in mind that you still have a chance to catch Articuno, Zapdos, or Moltres in addition to Mewtwo when using this recipe. Its also possible to get a Mew according to Verlisify, but this appears to be very rare as only a few people on the Pokemon Quest Discord server have acquired a Mew.
