Thats where special evolution Stones like the Sun Stone come into play. Using it, youll be able to evolve even a powerful Pokemon easily and add it to your Pokedex. What Does A Sun Stone Do

So now that you have a Sun Tone, you will want to either obtain a Gloom or Sunkern. Both of these Pokemon require players to have a Sun Stone along with their requisite candies to evolve them into Bellossom and Sunflora. Both of these are grass Pokemon and have a rather adorable design that is too cute to pass up. In terms of Gloom, if you only use candies to evolve, you will get a Vileplume rather than a Bellossom.

With some time and luck you will be on your way to obtaining these powerful and cheerful grass pocket monsters in Pokemon GO.

Evolution items in Pokémon Go can be difficult to come by in the mobile game. Youre not going to find them too often when exploring the game. Youll need to use these items to evolve certain Pokémon, and the Sun Stone is one youll need.

If youre on the hunt for a Sun Stone, your best bet is to try farming it from any nearby Pokéstops. Your next best alternative will be to complete special research or timed research tasks from weekly events. These are the most common ways to acquire the Sun Stone item.

Not every weekly timed or special research contains these evolution items. Typically, theyre given as a reward when that item has something to do with a particular Pokémon is featured. This normally happens if a Pokémon has their shiny version release, or theyre going to be one of the increased spawns players can capture throughout the week.

When youre still having trouble acquiring a Sun Stone, you have the chance to receive one by completing the weekly field research tasks. You can do this by finishing a field research task every day for seven days in a row. By the end of the streak, youll have a chance to capture the monthly breakthrough research Pokémon and several items. One of them can be an evolution item. Its not guaranteed to be a Sun Stone or any of the others, but theres a small chance of it happening.

Pokemon Go is one of the most popular and most loved augmented reality games that was developed by Niantic in collaboration with Ninetendo. The game was developed with a view to make it available for mobile users and as such was released to Ios and Android. The gameplay of the game Pokemon Go is very intriguing requiring players to create their own avatars/ characters and customise them according to your wishes. Once the player creates a character of his choice it appears on the Pokemon Go map this is in correspondence to the actual physical geographical location of the player. The player then needs to collect Pokemons that appear on the map. Players can collect only if they physically move which will be shown in the map. The POkemon Map also features PokeStops and Pokemon Gyms.

Get Sinnoh Stones Through Research Breakthroughs

    Pokémon Go Sun Stone

Field research is a part of the reward system in Pokemon Go. The menu can be found by clicking the binoculars symbol in the bottom right corner and swiping over to the ‘Field’ tab.

There, you get simple tasks to perform. Completing a task will provide a stamp and once you’ve earned seven stamps there’s a “Research Breakthrough.”

The small tasks provide simple rewards but will never provide Sinnoh Stones. However, there is a reasonable chance that the Research Breakthrough will reward you with a Sinnoh Stone. Since it takes seven days to do, though, you’ll only get one shot per week – maximum.

How To Get A Sinnoh Stone In Pokemon Go

There are currently three ways to get a Sinnoh Stone in Pokemon Go.

    • On the completion of the final day of your 7 day Research Task
    • During PvP
    • Battling against the three team leaders on Community Day

Yes, those looking for Sinnoh Stones at Poke Stops or as part of the tasks themselves can stop torturing themselves. The two main places to get a Sinnoh Stone in Pokemon Go are currently only on the 7th day of your Research Task completion or as a reward for taking part in PvP. Unfortunately theres no guarantee that you will get a Sinnoh Stone as the end of your seven day streak but the chances are very high of a Sinnoh Stone dropping as well as your usual Pokemon Go Legendaries reward.

Another far less common place to find this elusive special item is during the newly introduced PvP, where it is possible for a Sinnoh Stone to drop as part of your post battle rewards. Theres no clear sign of the odds of this though as people have been rewarded for both wins and losses with this special item. Just like the Pokemon Go shiny list, its going to be a case of letting yourself not get too frustrated by the odds.

If you dont fancy spinning the PvP wheel, stick to getting through your Research Tasks every day and every seven days you should earn yourself a Sinnoh Stone. Then its merely a matter of choosing which of the 4th generation Pokemon youre going to evolve first.

How To Use The Magnetic Lure In Pokemon Go

The Magnetic Lure is one of three new types of lure in the game and it works much like a normal lure, with some slight modifications. For 30 minutes, extra Pokemon will be attracted to the lure, but while a normal lure can attract any type of Pokemon, a Magnetic Lure will only attract electric, steel, and rock type pocket monsters.

It’s also an evolution item! If you’re within the vicinity of a Poke Stop with a Magnetic Lure applied, you can evolve Magneton and Nosepass into Magnezone and Probopass respectively – provided you have enough candy, of course. If you don’t want to fork out 200 coins for one yourself, you could also wait until the next Pokemon Go Community Day and find someone else who’s used one!

How To Get The Sun Stone

The Sun Stone is obtained from spinning Pokestops and Gyms. There is a very low drop chance of around 1% per spin to receivea Sun Stone or any of the other evolution item, and thereis an equal chance of obtaining each of the 5 currently available items.

There’s no way to ensure that the Sun Stone will drop, but with only 4 other items, there’s a greater than 50% chancethat you’ll receive one once you’ve spun over 250 Pokéstops.

The 7th day streak bonus gives you a very high chance of obtainingone of the evolution item, but it’s not believed to be guaranteed.

How to Get Sun Stone Location â Pokémon Sun and Moon Sun Stone Location

To get sun stones in Pokemon Go, you will need to do a number of things, but none of them are guaranteed to give you a sunstone, as the chances for the item to drop are extremely low.

That being said, we recommend visiting pokestops and gyms and spinning at them. Along with this, if you do this for a total of seven days, you will get a bonus called the seventh-day streak that has a high chance of netting you a stone stone. We also recommend finding an area filled with pokestops to make the most out of your trip and increase your chances of obtaining a sunstone.

How To Use Pokemon Go Gen 2 Special Evolution Items

Special items allow you to evolve several of your Gen 1 Pokemon in new directions, or even grant evolution to Pokemon that didnt have any before. They can even affect the evolution Gen 2 Pokemon, specifically Sunkern.

Theres no special science for using these Pokemon GO Gen 2 special items, either. Just pick the evolution you want from the menu, and the game will do the rest itself. Youll use up the item and the required amount of Candy automatically. Oh, yes, the Pokemon Go Special Evolution item is not enough, youll still need to have the Candy as well. The necessary amount varies from evolution to evolution, of course.

Below, you can see all of the Evolution items, which evolutions they grant, and how many Candies youll need for each.

    • Dragon Scale
    • Kingdra Seadra + 100 Horsea Candy
  • Kings Rock
  • Politoed Poliwhirl + 100 Oddish Candy
  • Slowking Slowpoke + 50 Slowpoke Candy
  • Metal Coat
  • Steelix Onix + 50 Onix Candy

Just remember that as well as the Sinnoh Stone youre also going to have 100 candies for each one. However, given that these are evolutions of earlier generations of Pokemon, hopefully youll already be rolling in the sweet stuff from the Professor. Good luck!

How To Get Special Items In Pokmon Go

There are a few different ways that you can get special items like Kings Rock, Metal Coat, Dragon Scale, Up-Grade, Sun Stone, Unova Stone, and Sinnoh Stone in Pokémon Go. Its important to note that they are all obtained the same way, so until Niantic changes this, there are no special methods for acquiring specific evolutionary items. Here are the best options for getting these super-rare items.

    PokeStops

The original method of gaining special items like Metal Coat and Dragon Scales. Any PokeStop has a chance of dropping a Gen 2 evolution item when spun, but chances are incredibly slim. Extra methods added over time have made this a little less of a headache, but if you absolutely need Gen 2 evolution items, heading into a dense PokeStop area like a town or city will help speed things up.

    Gifts

Another way to get special items in Pokémon Go is through gifts. Gifts are items that players can send to and receive from friends, as well as through PokeStops. Gifts are like a free PokeStop, offering rewards like special items. If you have one of these, be sure to send them to your friends and maybe youll get one in return.

    7-Day PokeStop Spin rewards

    Field Research

Every once in a while a new Field Research task might contain a special item. These could be “Battle X number of Gyms” or “Walk 10 kilometers.” Field Research rewards are always the same for each individual mission objective, so its worth checking out a compendium online to see which you should be looking out for.
