Pokemon Go: How To Get Sun Stone
Evolve your Pokemon into sun-thing beautiful.
Pokemon GOs evolution can be as simple as using the required amount of candy, but often rarer evolutions will require an evolution item.
These are consumables that can allow you to not only fill out your Pokedex but also unlock some impressively powerful creatures.
One such item, the Sun Stone, can evolve Sunkern into Sunflora, and others too, so its worth grabbing one.

How To Get A Metal Coat In Pokemon Go
Metal Coat in Pokemon GO can be obtained by spinning Pokestops. Unfortunately, this item has a very low drop rate, and hence you wont be able to get your hands on it as easily as you might when getting Pokeballs. What makes things worse is that its drop rate can be as low as 1% and you will need to spin around 500 Pokestops before you get a metal coat. And to make things worse is that it is an evolutionary item so if your luck isnt with you, you might spin 500 Pokestops just to get your hands on a Kings Rock. Not that Kings Rock is any bad item, just that if you are looking to evolve your Onix or Scyther it wont be of any use to you.

The Sun Stone is a very rare evolution item and it can be used for only very few Pokemons. The Sun Stone can be used to evolve Gloom into Bellossom.
The Sun Stone is used to evolve Sunkern into Sunflora.
Used to evolve Cotonee into Whimsicott
Used to evolve Petilil into Lilligant.
In all these evolution processes the Sun Stone plays an important role. But the players also need 50 Candy to complete the process.

How To Evolve Scyther Into Scizor In Pokmon Go
Back in the main series of Pokémon games, Scyther’s evolution into Scizor was somewhat awkward, requiring not only the Metal Coat held item but a friend to trade with too.
In Pokémon Go things are a little easier. You’ll still need to find yourself a Metal Coat, but instead of any kind of trading required, you’ll just need another 50 Candy to evolve your Scyther into Scizor, which can be done from the same in-game menu as you would for evolving any other Pokémon with the standard Candy method so far.
Note that the Metal Coat will be consumed in the process though, just like your Candy is when evolving as usual, so be sure this is the one you want to evolve!

How To Get The Dragon Scale
The Dragon Scale is obtained from spinning Pokestops and Gyms. There is a very low drop chance of around 1% per spin to receivea Dragon Scale or any of the other evolution item, and thereis an equal chance of obtaining each of the 5 currently available items.
Theres no way to ensure that the Dragon Scale will drop, but with only 4 other items, theres a greater than 50% chancethat youll receive one once youve spun over 250 Pokéstops.
The 7th day streak bonus gives you a very high chance of obtainingone of the evolution item, but its not believed to be guaranteed.

Obtaining A Metal Coat In Pokemon Go
Like many Johto region evolutionary items in Pokemon GO like Kings Rocks and Sun Stones, Metal Coat can be obtained via spinning photo discs at Pokestops and gyms. Trainers will also be guaranteed at least one Johto region evolution item if they can achieve a seven-day spin streak, so keeping those Pokestops and gyms close is a great way to earn evolution items.
There are alternative methods for earning Metal Coats as well. Opening a fellow Pokemon GO players gift can sometimes present one, though this is rare. Completing research and Special Research Tasks can also reward trainers with Metal Coats during certain occasions.
Specifically, seasonal events can be great opportunities to earn the item depending on the events theme. Theres never quite a guarantee that Metal Coats will make their way into an events agenda, but Niantic is making changes to spice up Pokemon GO all the time, and its not unheard of for them to increase the appearance of evolution items.
I finally found a metal coat
Since there are only two real evolutions that Metal Coats can enact at this point in Pokemon GO, players arent likely to need many in the first place. Regardless, a little persistence in spinning photo discs and completing research tasks will likely result in the evolutionary item sooner rather than later.

Spin that wheel.
Catching all Pokémon is the ultimate goal of every trainer, but it may end up being one of the more difficult challenges youve encountered if you also count evolved species.
Though evolved versions of some Pokémon can spawn in the wild, catching them will be significantly more challenging than a regular one, and it can cost you one too many Ultra Ballsmore than youd like to spare.
Tracking them down isnt the only way of getting them, however, since you can also evolve the base version of each Pokémon with the right materials. Considering the number of PokéStops each trainer spins every day, theres a chance you may already have the needed items in your inventory.
A Metal Coat is mostly used to evolve Scyther into Scizor and Onix into Steelix. The Metal Coat is also one of the rarer evolutionary items in Pokémon Go, meaning it may take a while before you find another one.

How Can You Get A Metal Coat In Pokmon Go
Just like other consumables in the game, youll be able to get a Metal Coat from spinning PokéStops. Due to the low drop rate of the item, around one percent, it may take approximately 500 spins before you find your first Metal Coat on an unlucky day. The main reason behind the high spin number is that the Metal Coat shares a similar drop rate with other evolutionary items. Youll need to get lucky twiceonce to get an evolutionary item off a PokéStop and one more time for it to be a Metal Coat.
You can use the daily bonus system to increase the number of items you can get from a PokéStop, increasing your chances of getting a Metal Coat even by a slight margin. If you visit a PokéStop for seven days in a row, youll receive more items each day, and the bonus will reach its maximum potential on the seven-day mark.
If you enjoy the games PvP aspect, you can also try competing in the Go Battle League for a mystery item. Though the drop rate of Metal Coats from the mystery item reward is unknown, its expected to be as low as its availability from PokéStops.
Metal Coat Farming And Rng
Many Pokemon GO players will surely try their best to get as many Metal Coats as they can. This is understandable since this item is still new and rare in the game. For now the only way to get them is by way of Pokestops, according to gamerant.
Unfortunately, Pokemon GO players have no way of knowing if they can get the Metal Coat until they spin the wheel. The usual yields are potions or even Pokemon eggs but a metal coat will turn up sooner or later. The key to obtaining them boils down to patience, visiting as many Pokestops as possible and of course, RNG.

For those that aren’t familiar with the ins and outs of Pokemon lore, evolution stones are used to evolve certain Pokemon to their next form. While there are still Pokemon that can evolve with the tried-and-true method of sending Pokemon to the professor in exchange for candy, specific Pokemon can only evolve with evolution stones.
