Pokemon Go Dratini Shiny: How To Catch Shiny Dratini And Shiny Dragonite

How To Get Porygon – Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! & Eevee

POKEMON GO players on the lookout for a shiny Dratini should read this, for everything they need to know on how to catch a shiny with the end goal of getting that special shiny Dragonite

Pokemon GOs September update just went live and although it means that trainers can no longer catch Raikou, the update has brought with it a series of brand new Field Research Quests.

Complete enough of these to earn yourself a Research Breakthrough and a crack at catching the Legendary Pokemon Entei.

However, these Research Quests also offer players the chance to catch some very rare Pokemon, including a new variation for Pokemon GOs Spinda.

But whilst these new Pokemon are taking the spotlight, players are also searching for shiny versions of some of Pokemons most classic mascots which can actually be quite hard to come by.

Keep reading for the most up to date information on how you can go about catching a shiny Dratini, with the end-goal of netting yourself a shiny Dragonite.

Plus, further down the page youll also find all of the new September Field Research Tasks.

Although it was previously possible to encounter a Dratini during the community day and eventually evolve a Dragonite which could know the move Draco Meteor, no further Dratini will benefit from this one-off move.

Equally, although Dratini is quite a cool Pokemon, its main purpose is to eventually evolve into the far more useful Dragonite .

Pokmon Go Rare Locations: How To Get Dragonite Dragonair Porygon Snorlax And Gyarados

Pokémon GO has a number of rare Pokémon, but a few of them are far more in-demand by players who are either looking to finish off their Pokedexes, or are looking for a rare and powerful Pokémon to take over a gym with.

NEW:

Dragonair, Dragonite, Gyarados, Snorlax and Porygon are, to some degree, the closest well get to legendary Pokémon until the special events start rolling in.

Porygon, oddly enough, tends to hatch from 5km eggs fairly often, although you can also find them in 10km eggs occasionally. Other than that, the best place to find a Porygon is in a crowded urban area.

Specifically, if you are somewhere near a casino, Porygons will be found far more frequently.

This makes sense considering thats where Porygon was found in the original games. So if you live near Reno, Vegas, Atlantic City, Biloxi or another casino hub, take a day trip for some Pokémon hunting.

NEW:

Dragonair can most commonly be found near water sources, as can Dratini, which can evolve into Dragonair when you have 25 Dratini Candy.

This can include oceans, lakes and rivers, so if you live near a large body of water, make a road trip to catch Dratini or Dragonair. Eggs are also a common way of earning Dratini and Dragonair. Use the Ingress trick to find a good water spot crowded with Pokémon.

Dragonite, unlike the other two dragons, is most commonly reported in wooded areas or parks, but predictably, its a far more rare find than Dragonairs and Dratinis.

Okay So Lets Have That Cheat Sheet Again But With Explanations

The first set are the Pokémon that dominate Gym battles as either entrenched defenders or elite attackers. In a perfect world, you want as many as possible, with the best movesets possible, powere dup as much as possible. And that takes candy. Walking any of them isnt fast, especially the 5 KM ones, but more is more and faster is faster.

  • Chansey: Blissey is the toughest Pokémon in the game right now, so the more you can evolve and the higher you can power them up, the better. Since Chansey has no nests and is a rare hatch, walking can help you get the candy you need.
  • Snorlax: Snorlax is almost as tough but has no lower, slightly more common form it evolves on. So, youre left with ultra rare spawns or hatches or walking to get the candy you need.
  • Magikarp: Magikarp no longer hatch so, if youre not near a water biome with frequent spawns, and you want Gyarados to sit on top of Gyms, youll need to walk.
  • Larvitar: Tyranitar is the new Dragonite, so Larvitar is the new Dratini, only it spawns and hatches far less frequently and has no water biome for you to stake out. That makes walking the only consistent way to get candy.
  • Machop: Machop is the most damaging attacker against several of the most powerful defenders in the game ;if you get the right moveset. That means, even though Machop nests, you might need a lot of candy to build your Machamp strike force.
  • Chikorita, so you can evolve Meganium.
  • Cyndaquil, so you can evolve Typhlosion.
  • , so you can evolve Amphoros.

    How To Get Gyarados

Getting Gyarados requires tons of patience, and tons of Magikarp Candy try 400 units of Candy in order to evolve your Magikarp into Gyarados! Weve heard reports of Gyarados showing up near large bodies of water, but even then, theyre still very rare when spotted in the wild. Unfortunately, it looks like the best thing to do here would be to keep farming for Magikarp Candy, and, of course, have a Magikarp in your lineup. Once youve got the 400 units needed, youre all good to evolve him into Gyarados.

    How To Get Kangashkan

Kangashkan is, on certain lists, considered common, and thats because this Pokémon is common for players from Australia and New Zealand, unsurprisingly so due to his resemblance to a kangaroo. But outside of those countries, Kangashkan is unusually rare, with sightings very, very hard to come away from the Land Down Under and New Zealand. Still, this character has been sighted in North America, albeit very rarely, and is very much worth spotting and catching due to its power.

How To Get Porygon In Pokemon Sword And Shield

Before we dive into how to get your one and only catchable Porygon in Sword and Shield, first lets point out the obvious.

If youre a Pokemon Home customer, you can always transfer one over from a previous game easily if you have one ready to go. If you dont have Isle of Armor, this is probably the best way to get it done.

You can get a free Porygon though without having to deal with Pokemon Home if you have Isle of Armor purchased.

First, beat the entire storyline, all of it, up until you defeat Mustard for the final time. Mustard will then relax in his room from that point on and there will be a Porygon just hanging out in the corner of the room.

Interact with it and when Hyde asks if you like it, say yes and youll eventually get it. If only everything in life worked like that huh?

Because Porygon dont appear in the wild of Isle of Armor, its not easy to shiny farm for it out in the wild . So if youre determined to get a shiny version, you can reset after receiving it if it wasnt shiny.

And thats it! Thats all there is to know about how to get Porygon in Pokemon Sword & Shield. Of course, if you need more you can always trade for more, or breed the free Porygon you get with a Ditto.

    Weather Influence On Porygon

Porygon evolving into Porygon2 Pokemon Go gen 2

With just one single weakness, Porygon-Z does not need to take a lot of factors into consideration while looking at the weather. It is advisable to use Porygon-Z in Partly Cloudy weather to boost its potential Normal type moves, but consider using it under other circumstances if the current weather boosts Porygon-Zs moves. Keep in mind that Porygon-Z is not a very good defender due to its average bulk and it will probably suffer under Cloudy weather if the enemy knows any Fighting type moves.

The chart below will help you visualize what weather is beneficial or harmful for Porygon-Z.

When To Use A Nanab Berry

How To Get Porygon | Pokemon Let’s Go Eevee And Let’s Go Pikachu

If the wild Pokemon youre trying to catch is just too energetic to easily throw a ball at, thats where Nanab Berries come into play.

These berries can be especially useful on some flying Pokemon who move around erratically, taking full advantage of their vertical abilities. If youre frustrated at how many balls youre wasting just trying to even hit a Pokemon with a ball, thats a good sign its time to make use of a Nanab Berry.

As with Razz Berries, the tier you want to use will probably depend on how much trouble this Pokemon is giving you. If its only moving a little it may not be worth using a silver or gold Nanab Berry on for minimal changes.

Nanab Berries are also useful if your catch circle is already green but you want to be extra sure of catching this Pokemon. In those cases, a Razz Berry may not be very useful as its already a good chance of catching. Instead, try a Nanab Berry to increase your chances of getting the best throw possible.

In North America, this Pokémon is quite a rare one, but you may also be wondering why its common in Asia but not outside of the continent. It all pertains to a rather unusual joke about duck and green onion being a popular food combo in Asian dining, but a duck bringing its own green onion being farfetched. We get itsort of.
