The cutest and most popular monsters in the Nintendo role playing game scene have yet another version to treat the avid fans of the game and the animated TV series. The Pokemon Black and White are the first of the fifth generation Pokemon role playing games in Nintendo. It was released in Japan in September, 2010, to be followed by the United States, Europe, and Australia in March, 2011. It became the fastest DS to sell over 5 million copies in Japan as of January 9, 2011.
Pokemon Black and White have the same game features with the instalments prior to its release. However, this fifth instalment has some changes in the core game play. The story focuses on a Pokemon trainer who wants to be the champion of the Unova region. The trainer will be the champion if he defeats the Elite Four, the top trainers of the region. In this installment, 156 new Pokémons will be introduced making the list 649 Pokemons in all. You have to obtain all 649 to complete the Pokedex, an index of Pokemons in the game. Black and White are separate games, but you can trade Pokemons between them.

Pokémon Black Version and Pokémon White Version are Nintendo DS games that are the first core series Pokémon games of Generation V. The games were released in Japan on September 18, 2010, in Europe on March 4, 2011, in North America on March 6, 2011, and in Australia on March 10, 2011. They take place in the Unova region. These games are enhanced on the Nintendo DSi and Nintendo 3DS families.
Pokémon Black and White follow the trends set by previous games in the series. Unlike previous games, Pokémon introduced prior to Generation V cannot be obtained before completing the main story by defeating Team Plasma.
The games’ names were revealed on the official Japanese Pokémon website on April 9, 2010, and scans from the subsequent issue of the magazine leaked the following day, April 10.
Pokémon Black and White were followed in 2012 by two sequels, Pokémon Black 2 and White 2, which are set two years after the events of Black and White. Pokémon Black 2 and White 2 are the second and final paired versions of Generation V.

Which Pokemon Version Should Players Pick
The sequels to the original Pokemon Black and White are the last of Generation V games in the franchise so far.
Each game, as well as its boxart, features a different version of the Legendary Pokemon Kyurem. Like other Pokemon and items in the two games, players can only get the form of Kyurem that is featured in their version.

Black & White 3 Could Lead To Pokmon Black 2 & White 2 Re
What may be at once both the simplest and most important reason for Black and White to get another sequel is that it would require Pokémon Black 2 and White 2 to be fully remade or at least rereleased in its entirety. With the exception of Pokémon X and Y and Sword and Shield, the two primary games of each Pokémon generation are followed up by another game or set of games. Fans usually refer to these as the third version, even though Black and White and Sun and Moons third versions were released as two games. When Pokémon games get remade, only certain elements of their third version get included in the remake. While this has received a mixed reception from fans, it mostly works because third versions are generally the same game as their predecessors, but with various alterations.
The Gen 5 Pokémon games are an exception to this, however. Pokémon Black 2 and White 2 are treated as third versions by series developer Game Freak, but theyre entirely new games set two years after Black and White. With an all-new story and major alterations to the cast, Black 2 and White 2 cant properly be pared down into the post-game the way past Pokémon remakes have incorporated third version content. Black 2 and White 2 would need to be remade as their own, entirely separate games from Black and White in order for players to get the full Gen 5 experience.

Its really hard to justify Pokemon Black 2 and White 2s existence. To the Pokemon maniac, they come as a bit of a slap in the face, coming off barely a year after the incredible Pokemon Black/White, and flying in the face of everything that game stood for. To the more distant, more dispassionate observer, they come off as relentless milking of a formula that is now, perhaps, finally, beginning to show its age. To those with even the slightest bit of know how about game development, they come as the final attempts to squeeze some more massive revenue from the DS Pokemon engine , before the inevitable move to the infinitely more expensive to develop for 3DS.
To me, as a Pokemon loyalist who has stuck with the series since the beginning, they come off simultaneously as exhilarating, and as a bit of a disappointment. Make no mistake, Pokemon Black 2/White 2 are great. As they stand, they are probably the ultimate realization of the Pokemon formula, with everything fine tuned to pitch perfection, the best series progression and pace structure, the best selection of game modes both online and offline, the best roster of critters available from the get go, and overall, delivering the kind of deep, immersive, and addictive Pokemon experience that I demand from each new entry in the saga.
But they also often feel like a step back for the series.

Which Pokemon Version Is Right For You
While each game features around three hundred Pokemon from various regions, there are some Pocket Monsters that are exclusive to each version of the game.
Other than Reshiram and White Kyurem, the White 2 version has some other Pokemon not available in Black 2.
These include:

Other than game-exclusive Pokemon, there are a couple other key differences between the two versions that a potential player should take note of before deciding which one to get.
The White 2 version of the game has a location known as the White Forest, whereas its counterpart has an area called Black City in the East. In these areas, there are also game-exclusive challenges that reward players with different Pokemon when completed.
Completing the Black Tower will earn a player a shiny Gible, whereas conquering the White Treehollow will garner a player a free shiny Dratini.
While there are a few other minor differences between the games, there is one more big feature that is altered between the two versions. In White 2, a player will unlock Easy Mode upon beating the Pokemon League. This mode decreases the level of wild Pokemon encountered and makes trainer battles a bit easier.
In Black 2, once a player defeats the Pokemon League, they’ll unlock Challenge Mode. Challenge Mode basically just does the opposite of Easy Mode, making it more difficult to catch wild Pokemon and increase how hard it is to win trainer battles.
What Is The Hardest Pokemon To Evolve
The list of the hardest to evolve is a bit longer: Ivysaur, Charmeleon, Wartortle, Nidorina, Nidorino, Gloom, Poliwhirl, Kadabra, Machoke, Weepinbell, Graveler, Haunter, and Dragonair. Not only are they harder to come by, but in order to get them to evolve you will need 100 candies of their earlier forms.

What Separates Black From White
There are some major similarities like the 3 starter Pokémon and Victini, the exclusive Pokémon. Apart from them, there are several Pokémon that are different in both versions:

- The main difference being the legendary Pokémon, all others follow the same character types. Closer observation reveals that Pokémon on either side are pretty different in terms of weight, defenses, attacks and character traits.
- Apart from these Pokémon, you get different Pokémon on your Pokédex after the National Dex.
- Also, there are the walking and surfing Pokémon that youll find in the White forest, which is exclusive to the White version. These Pokémon include older Pokémon like Rhyhorn, Nidoran , Oddish, Abra and many more. In Black, you may buy these, or finish the game and use the PokéTransfer .
- Another difference is the battle style and difficulty in both versions. White has more triple battles than rotation battles, while Black has more rotation battles than triple battles.
- The 8th Gym Leader you face will be different in both the two versions it will be Iris in White and Drayden in Black in the Opelucid City Gym.
- Perhaps the biggest difference in the two versions is the inclusion of two huge areas The White Forest for Pokémon White and the Black City for Pokémon Black. The White Forest allows you to find rare items and rare and non-evolved Pokémon. In the Black City, youll have to buy what items you need and frequently battle rare and fully evolved Pokémon.

New Forms Of Old Faces
Many legendary Pokémon have multiple forms, but they weren’t all introduced at the same time. In the sequel games, some Pokémon received new forms entirely that they didn’t have in Black and White.
One prominent example is Keldeo, which received a new Resolute Form, which is triggered by teaching it Sacred Sword. The Forces of Nature Thundurus, Landorus, and Tornadus also received new animal-like forms, called their Therian Formes. Kyurem will also fuse with Zekrom or Reshiram, depending on the game, which plays an important role in the new story.
