How To Get A Metal Coat In Pokemon Go
Unfortunately, due to its identification as a rare item, it is nearly impossible for the new players to get their hands on the Metal Coat in Pokemon Go. You can try and spin the PokeStops to get your first Metal Coat. However, it will take you less than 500 spins to get the item if you are having a lucky day. The reason behind such an extensive spin is the low drop rate of the object, which happens to be around 1%. Dont think that you only need a little luck because, first of all, you need to get an evolutionary item from the drop, and then you need it to be the Metal Coat.

Evolve your Pokemon into sun-thing beautiful.
Pokemon GOs evolution can be as simple as using the required amount of candy, but often rarer evolutions will require an evolution item.
These are consumables that can allow you to not only fill out your Pokedex but also unlock some impressively powerful creatures.
One such item, the Sun Stone, can evolve Sunkern into Sunflora, and others too, so its worth grabbing one.
Heres how to do just that.

Hoe Een Metal Coat In Pokmon Go Krijgen

In the main series, it took some work to get a Scyther, as you needed a Metal Coat and a friend to trade the Pokémon. However, in Pokémon Go the evolution method is a little easier. You still need a Metal Coat, but instead of having to trade, you simply need 50 Candy to evolve Scyther into a Scizor, which you can do via the usual menu.
However, keep in mind that you will lose Metal Coat after evolving Scyther, so be sure that this is the Pokémon you want to evolve!

How To Get Evolution Items In Pokemon Go
Now, I dont want to sound like a nagging Poke-parent ironic given how lax parents are in the main games but its time to up your game and start playing Pokemon Go every day. Yep, on your feet soldier. If you arent already, this small step will guarantee you a Pokemon Go evolution item every seven days from your seven day Pokestop streak and increase your odds of finding a Sinnoh Stone.
Regular special items such as Up-Grades and Kings Rocks sometimes even drop from regular Poke Stops but making sure to spin a Poke Stop every day and working towards your streak will ensure you get at least one every week. Bear in mind though that its impossible to predict what youll get so you might have to see a few Metal Coats before you find the Sun Stone you want.
The Sinnoh Stone, introduced with Gen 4, is a significantly trickier find but not impossible. There are two main ways to find a Sinnoh Stone. The first is to complete your seven day research breakthrough tasks. This essentially means earning one stamp each day until you earn a legendary Pokemon encounter. If youre lucky, at the same time, youll earn a Sinnoh Stone but they are not guaranteed. The second way to find one is to take part in trainer battles via PvP. Sinnoh Stones have been known to drop for both winners and losers. Good luck!

How To Evolve Onix And Scyther
Evolving Onix to Steelix requires you to have 1 Metal Coat and 50 Onix Candy. Steelix is a Steel and Ground-type Pokemon. Steelix is a very powerful Pokemon. It is strong against several types such as ice, fairy, and rock Pokemon. Similar to Steelix, Scizor requires you to have 1 metal coat and 50 Scyther Candy. Scizor is quite a powerful Pokemon. It is a Bug and Steel-type Pokemon. Being a Steel-type it does get strength against the same types as that of Steelix but be wary of the Fire-type. Because Scizor is a Bug and Steel Pokemon it is very weak against Fire-type Pokemon, as Fire is very effective against both of these types.

Metal Coat In Pokemon Go How To Get
As stated above, getting a Metal Coat in Pokemon Go is largely dependent on luck. The only way to get a Metal Coat in Pokemon Go is to find one at a PokeStop. Theres no guarantee of a Metal Coat dropping, so you could have to spin lots before you encounter one, meaning that youll likely need to a visit an urban area if possible. That way, you can make the most of having plenty of PokeStops to spin, drastically increasing your chances of finding a Metal Coat.
Aside from this, you can take advantage of the Daily Streak bonus in Pokemon Go that guarantees an evolution item as a reward for completing a simple task. The Daily Streak bonus is gained on a daily basis and rewards you for spinning your first PokeStop of the day. Spinning at least one PokeStop for seven days in a row will allow you to complete a Weekly Streak, for which youll be rewarded with a rake of items. Among these will be at least one evolution item, which could potentially be a Metal Coat.

Go Battle League In Pvp
You can also increase your chances of getting a Metal Coat by participating in the Go Battle League. Even though there are little to no chances for the item to appear in the PvPs mystery catalog, there is nothing wrong with trying. You never know when your bad day will turn into a good one. Without the evolutionary items, you wont be able to add evolved Pokemons to your gallery. Trust me, without them, no one is going to consider you to be an efficient Pokemon trainer.
Using A Little Daily Bonus For Help
There is a little trick that can help you get the Metal Coat easily. New players like you can take the help of a daily bonus system to increase the amount of rare evolutionary items you get from PokeStop. It can help you increase the chances of getting the Metal Coat even by a small percentage. Start by visiting the PokeStop regularly for seven days a week and get more rare items each day. By doing this, the bonus reward will be over with its maximum potential on the final day of the week.

Pokemon Go Metal Coat: How To Use One
So you’ve finally got your hands on a Pokemon Go Metal Coat, but what can you do with it? Right now, there’s only two Pokemon you can use it on: Scyther and Onix. Depending on which one you want to evolve, navigate to that Pokemon in your collection and you’ll find the evolve option.
Alongside the Metal Coat however, you’ll also need 50 candy for the respective Pokemon you want to evolve. Both Scyther and Onix are somewhat rare spawns in a wild, so make sure you use Pinap Berries whenever you find one and keep your fingers crossed you hatch them in eggs. Good luck!

Evolutionary Items For Extra Help
Metal Coat is one of the rarest revolutionary items in Pokemon Go that was introduced back in the day with the second generation of legendary God Pokemon. This revolutionary item wasnt of much importance initially, but as new Pokemons were introduced in the game, the Metal Coat started gaining importance. At present, this rare item is used to evolve Pokemons like Scyther and Onix into Scizor and Steelix.
Obtaining A Metal Coat In Pokemon Go
Like many Johto region evolutionary items in Pokemon GO like King’s Rocks and Sun Stones, Metal Coat can be obtained via spinning photo discs at Pokestops and gyms. Trainers will also be guaranteed at least one Johto region evolution item if they can achieve a seven-day spin streak, so keeping those Pokestops and gyms close is a great way to earn evolution items.
There are alternative methods for earning Metal Coats as well. Opening a fellow Pokemon GO player’s gift can sometimes present one, though this is rare. Completing research and Special Research Tasks can also reward trainers with Metal Coats during certain occasions.
Specifically, seasonal events can be great opportunities to earn the item depending on the event’s theme. There’s never quite a guarantee that Metal Coats will make their way into an event’s agenda, but Niantic is making changes to spice up Pokemon GO all the time, and it’s not unheard of for them to increase the appearance of evolution items.
I finally found a metal coat
Since there are only two real evolutions that Metal Coats can enact at this point in Pokemon GO, players aren’t likely to need many in the first place. Regardless, a little persistence in spinning photo discs and completing research tasks will likely result in the evolutionary item sooner rather than later.

In Gen 8, Gyarados can only learn one Flying-Type move from leveling up and two via TM, and while it becomes immune to Ground, it becomes weak to Rock and even weaker to Electric, so it doesnt benefit a great deal from its new typing.
