Usually Heracross is a regional exclusive Pokémon which spawns in South America, southern Florida and Texas.
Heracross has only made a couple of appearances outside of this region as part of in-game events, including appearing in three-star raids during the Ultra Unlock Part 2: Space event of August 2021.

How To Catch Heracross During Ultra Unlock 2021 Part : Space In Pokmon Go

Heracross is one of the several region-exclusive Pokémon that you can capture in Pokémon Go. Usually, its restricted to spawning in South America. Outside of this area, you wont be able to find it. However, during the Ultra Unlock 2021 Part 2: Space event, Heracross will appear worldwide from August 6 to 17. Therefore, you have a limited time to capture it in your area and only a handful of ways to encounter it. How can you catch Heracross during Ultra Unlock 2021 Part 2: Space?
The only method that will be available worldwide for you to find Heracross will be from three-star raids. Whenever you find a Gym, and its about to hatch into a raid, we recommend waiting around to see if it will be Heracross. It will only appear as a three-star raid, which means youll want to bring Pokémon to defeat it or a few friends to help you out. Because it is a three-star raid, players who prepare to fight Heracross have a pretty good chance of taking it down and capturing it.
For the Ultra Unlock 2021 event, Heracross shiny version is also releasing, giving players the chance to catch one. The shiny version is exceptionally different, altering Heracross distinctly blue color to bright pink.
Outside of the three-star raids, there is no way to catch Heracross. Its a limited Pokémon, so make sure to bring plenty of Fairy, Fire, Flying, and Psychic-type Pokémon to the battle.
Catch Heracross In Pokmon Legends: Arceus
There are two locations where you can catch Heracross in Pokémon Legends: Arceus. Check out the locations where you can catch Heracross Pokémon Legends: Arceus laid out below:
- Grueling Grove – Obsidian Fieldlands
- Wayward Wood – Coronet Highlands
Either location you visit will have the same chance to spawn Heracross, so it really depends on what spot you prefer. Also, neither location has a chance to spawn the Alpha version of Heracross, so you dont have to worry about running into the red-eyed bug when trying to catch it.
If you want an easier time catching Heracross, head to Wayward Wood in Coronet Highlands. The Heracross that spawn here are lower level and are weaker to your attacks.
When battling Heracross, use Pokémon that are Fire, Psychic, Flying or Fairy-types. These types all deal super-effective damage to Heracross, lowering its HP and making it easier to catch.
Once Heracross HP is in the low yellow/red, throw some Ultra Balls at it and you should have it within your party in no time. To avoid a fight with Heracross entirely, use some Smoke Bombs to conceal yourself and throw a ball when the Pokémon is distracted.

For context, this is quite a rare chance indeed, given that the same wiki page mentioned above lists that Heracross has been in the game since early 2017, but still hasnt been featured in a global event before now.
In other words, make sure not to miss the Ultra Unlock part 2 event Trainers, you really dont want to miss this chance.

Shiny Heracross is a Bug and Fighting-type creature with a major weakness to Flying attacks in Pokemon Go. This means suitable counters include Moltres, Pidgeot, and Ho-oh.

Bouffalant In Pokmon Go
The latest Regional Exclusive Pokémon to come to Pokémon Go is Bouffalant. Introduced during Unova Week Bouffalant was originally advertised as being available in New York City and the surrounding areas, because the Unova Region was loosely based on that area. However, players have reported Bouffalant sightings as far north as New Hampshire and as far south as Virginia. It would seem as though this bison-based Pokémon can be caught along the Mid-Atlantic and Northern coast of the United States.
How To Get A Heracross
Catching a Heracross is pretty easy. Encountering one, however, is a whole different story. This Pokémon can only be encountered by slathering Honey on Honey Trees in specific areas. Youll immediately notice a Honey Tree because it looks very different from the other trees as it has a distinct brown color.
Before you go on looking for Honey trees, you should know that just because you slathered Honey on them, doesnt mean that Pokémon will automatically flock to it. Theres only a small chance of encountering Pokémon through this method. Since Heracross is considered a rare Pokémon, theres an even slimmer chance of you encountering it on a Honey Tree. Theres only a 20% chance of a Pokémon spawning at a Honey Tree after youve slathered Honey. And within that 20% chance, theres only a measly 5% chance of you encountering a Heracross. So, while catching Heracross isnt difficult, it will surely be time consuming.
Also, keep in mind that it takes 6 hours in real time before Honey Trees take effect. Youd have to return to a Honey Tree youve slathered Honey on after 6 hours to check whether or not a Pokémon has spawned. All the trouble is definitely worth it though as Heracross is one of the strongest Pokémon you can have in the game.

Dates: When Can We Catch Heracross In Pokmon Go In Europe
The event Ultrabonus Part 2: Space it takes place only during a few days of this month of August specifically from Friday, August 6, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. to Tuesday, August 17, 2021 at 8:00 p.m. local time. From this Friday we have a temporary rotation in the raid bosses of one, three and five stars. Not in vain, the category that interests us is that of three stars, since that is where Heracross is found with the possibility of appearing in your form shiny/variocolor.
Specifically, during the dates indicated, Alakazam, Kangaskhan and Heracross will be the three-star raid bosses, so dont be surprised if you see the other two from time to time.
What Are The Current Regional Exclusive Pokmon In Pokmon Go
As of October 2020, there are nearly 40 Pokémon that can only be caught or hatched in specific parts of the world. While these Pokémon each have designated regions where they can be caught or hatched, there is the occasional overlap, as well as parts of regions that fall outside of the spawn areas. Unlike most regionals though, weve seen Heracross show up as part of a few events in the past and now its back in Pokemon GO Tour Johto as a worldwide catch opportunity.
Heracross will not just be found in the wild outside of its region though. Rather, you will have to find them in tier 3 raids during the event, which should be pretty plentiful.
You will also have one other chance to get one during Pokemon GO Tour Johto through the Johto Battle Challenge Timed Research, as the reward for defeating the Bug GO Gym Trainer will give you a Heracross encounter as a reward.

Pokémon GO has published all the information about this years Ultrabonus special events on its official blog and has shared it through its official Twitter account.
The second of these events, called Ultrabonus Part 2: Space, will be held from Friday, August 6, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. to Tuesday, August 17, 2021, at 8:00 p.m., Spanish time.
In this event, we can get Heracross in three-star raids and, if we are lucky, we can even capture a Shiny Heracross. To do this, Heracross will appear in one of the many gyms scattered around our city, and we will have to kill him between several trainers to capture him.
We must remember that we can only get this blue beetle in this way and only during this event because afterward, it will once again be exclusive to Latin America.

There are restrictions on Trades based on Friendship level and location. This is, in part, to discourage people from selling Pokémon. While you can meet other players through Facebook, Discord, and Reddit, most players willing to trade Regional Exclusive Pokémon aren’t going to ask for money or anything offline in return. If they do, it’s probably a scam.
