Pokmon Sword And Shield: Every Wild Area Den And What Max Raid Battles Spawn From Them

There are 99 regular Pokémon dens in Sword and Shield’s Wild Area and each one hosts a different collection of raids, some common and some rare. We’ve rounded up a list of every den and what Pokémon are likely to show up in that den. Since there are multiple dens in various areas of the Galar map, we’ve assigned arbitrary numbers to the ones in the same sections to help us keep everything straight. There’s also a giant den that only activates for special events. It’s known as The Watchtower Lair. See which Pokémon you might encounter in any given den.

Shiny Eiscue Event Now Live In Pokemon Sword And Shield For A Very Limited Time

To celebrate World Penguin Day, Eiscue is appearing in Max Raids until April 25, and you have a chance to encounter a Shiny.

A new Max Raid event is underway in Pokemon Sword and Shield, but it’s coming to an end soon. To celebrate World Penguin Day, the penguin Pokemon Eiscue is appearing in Max Raid battles across the Wild Area, Isle of Armor, and Crown Tundra until today, April 25, and you’ll even have a chance to find a Shiny variant.

Eiscue is normally one of the version-exclusive Pokemon only available in Pokemon Shield, but it will appear in Max Raids across both games throughout this event. You may also come across a Shiny Eiscue in five-star Max Raids, but its appearance rate is very low, so you’ll need to be persistent and check as many Raids as you can if you’re hoping to catch one.

The Eiscue Max Raid event runs until 4:59 PM PT / 7:59 PM ET / 11:59 PM UTC on April 25. Before you can participate in the event, you’ll need to refresh your Max Raid dens. You can do this either by connecting your game online via the Y-Comm, or by selecting Get the Wild Area News from the Mystery Gift menu.

In addition to the Eiscue Max Raid event, Sword and Shield players can claim another free item this weekend. The Pokemon Company is giving away a free Weakness Policy via Mystery Gift until April 26. The code for the free item was revealed during the Pokemon Players Cup III Global Finals, which are being streamed this weekend on Twitch.

How To Catch Shiny Pokmon In Sword And Shield: Shiny Pokmon Vs Super Shiny Pokmon

Several players have reported that they’ve found a brand new variant of shiny Pokémon. To be more precise, two different types of shiny Pokémon appear in Sword and Shield. One of them is much rarer than the other and has been dubbed “super shiny” by the internet. Regular shiny Pokémon pop out with stars glittering around them, whereas super shiny Pokémon appear with squares, as seen in the picture above.

Shiny Pokémon rarity has been split! Same 1:4096 odds to obtain a shiny, but there are two types of shiny. 15/16 show stars, 1/16 show squares. Square rarity is 1 in 65536!Basically, if your Trainer ID cleanly matches the PID , it will be squares rather than stars.

Kurt

This has led data miners to jump into Sword and Shield’s coding to determine if the shiny odds have been affected. According to respected data miner Kurt, the odds of catching shinies are still 1/4096. However, 15/16 shiny Pokémon will show stars, whereas only 1/16 shiny Pokémon will show squares. That makes super shinies super rare to come across with only a chance of 1/65536!

If you happen to catch one of these ultra-rare Pokémon, let us know! We’d love to hear about it.

How To Catch Eiscue In Pokemon Shield

Eiscue is one of the new monsters introduced in the Gen VIII Pokemon release, and fans cant seem to get enough of the creature. The penguin is known for the ice cube it wears on its head, which, according to its Pokedex entry, is to keep it cool.

Dont be fooled by its adorable looks however, as the mon is actually quite fierce. So much so that its Ice Facea bility quickly made it one of the strongest characters in the competitive scene.

While Eiscue has a fairly low spawn rate of 2% on Route 10, there is actually a second location that has a much higher chance. Follow the steps below and you will have one in no time.;Note: you need your Rotom bike to have the water riding upgrade, which you get on Route 9.

Unfortunately the Galar region monster is exclusive to Shield. So Sword owners will need to trade for the Eiscue. However there are plenty of Trainers out there on social media and forums like Reddit who are willing to help.

According to Serebii, the Pokemon can also be found in five 5-star Max Raid dens. Although in our experience, we found that simply going to the Lake of Outrage is the quickest method of adding this popular mon to your team.

Eiscue marches to the beat of its own drum, and it doesnât sweat the small stuff. Rarest Pokmon In Sword And Shield

Pokémon Sword & Shield: How To Find Eiscue

| Entertainment

The Pokémon series has been around since 1995 and each new game is always highly anticipated. The current game series is Pokémon Sword and Shield and this list features some of the rarest Pokémon in both games. All of the Pokémon on this list have extremely low spawn rates and can typically be found in a singular location. Obtaining these rare Pokémon can be difficult and time consuming, but is ultimately worth it as they are some of the strongest Pokémon in Sword and Shield.

Please note that legendaries were left off this list because they are inherently rare.

As of November 2020, the information on this list is as accurate as possible and will be updated as needed.

How To Catch Shiny Pokmon In Sword And Shield: A Few Things To Know

  • Unlike Let’s Go, Pikachu!, and Let’s Go, Eevee!, you can’t tell if a Pokémon is shiny when you’re walking around. You must engage it in a battle to tell if it’s shiny.
  • Unlike previous games, you cannot get a shiny starter. Don’t try to soft-restart your game; it will just be a waste of time.
  • You don’t have to worry about coming across a shiny Pokémon that’s too high-leveled for you to catch in the Wild Area. The coding doesn’t allow this to happen.
  • When you come upon a shiny, sparkles and light emit around the Pokémon. You’re going to want to pay attention to this if you’re shiny hunting a Pokémon that doesn’t look a whole lot different from its original coloring.+
  • When playing the Dynamax Adventures found within the Crown Tundra section of the Pokémon Sword and Shield Expansion Pass, you won’t be able to tell if the Pokémon you caught were shiny until choosing which Pokémon to keep.

Pingu alert.

If you plan to complete the Galar Pokédex in Pokémon Sword and Shield or just want an annoying penguin on your team, then youre sooner or later going to look for Eiscue.

Eiscue is a unique Pokémon. Its ability acts a lot like Mimikyus, allowing you to take a hit for free without the opponent dealing any damage. This makes it a vital part of any cheesy team.

First, Eiscue is exclusive to Pokémon Shield. If you own Sword, youll need to get the Pokémon by trading with someone who owns the other version.

If you have Shield, though, you can find Eiscue on Route 10 hidden in random patches of the grass. Prepare to be looking for a while, however. Eiscue is one of the rarest Pokémon in the game with a two-percent chance to show up, so get ready to grind for a few hours.

Eiscue is also available in the Wild Areas Lake of Outrage, which you can get to after the seventh Gym Challenge once you have enough badges to catch it and own the upgraded Rotom Bike. Its a rare two-percent spawn in the grass when its snowing in the area.

Eiscue Location In Pokemon Shield

Given the fact that Eiscue is an ice-type Pokemon, it can be found in most cold areas of the Galar Region, such as the Lake of Outrage. However, Eiscue is one of the few Pokemon that is a version exclusive, found only in Pokemon Shield, so any Sword players will have to find a friend with Shield and trade one over. Those with a Nintendo Online subscription can also trade via WiFi Trades.

Go to Route 10 to find one of them more easily . Be careful, this is a random encounter. You’ll not see it directly in the Tall Grass like other Pokémon, but via Exclamation Points . Be careful, you only have a 2% chance of running into it!

Another solution is to go to Lake of Outrage when it snows. Your chance of seeing it will then be 5% if it’s a snowstorm .

How Do You Damage Eiscue In Pokemon Sword And Shield

Eiscue is essentially a beefy penguin with an ice cube on its head. This block of ice can absorb the damage from a single hit, so;Eiscue is technically undefeatable whilst the ice helmet is active. Luckily, with one hit itll shatter and leave the Pokemon vulnerable to HP damage. It sounds simple enough, but its also possible for Eiscue to;recover its defensive implement annoyingly frequently.

ALSO:;Pokemon Sword and Shield online trading | Can you trade for specific Pokemon on the GTS?

If theres Hail on the battlefield, which;Eiscue itself summons, the ice cube atop its shoulders can regenerate before you have a chance to get a hit in and dish out any proper damage. In this instance, youre fighting a losing battle against an opponent that cant be touched.

What you need to do is send out a Pokemon thats faster than;Melonys;Eiscue in order to consistently get a hit in before the ice cube has a chance to regenerate. This way, it can be whittled down in a battle of attrition thats now weighted in your favor. Alternatively, its also possible to utilize a move with paralysis we used Thunder Wave to guarantee that you get a move in before Eiscue can do its thing.

With the penguin down, defeating Melony and claiming the;Circhester Gym badge shouldnt pose any further problem.

New Pokmon Sword And Shield Max Raid Battle Event Focuses Eiscue

Celebrate World Penguin Day with Galar’s resident Ice-Type friend.

April 25 is World Penguin Day, and to celebrate, a special Max Raid Battle event has started in Pokémon Sword and Shield, featuring the Penguin Pokémon, Eiscue.

Starting today, players can find Raids full of Eiscue all over the Wild Area, the Isle of Armor, the Crown Tundra, as well as via online raids with other players. This will also allow players of Pokémon Sword to obtain this Pokémon in their games, since it is normally exclusive to Pokémon Shieldand locked until after the sixth gym leader is defeated.

Players will also have the opportunity to find a guaranteed Shiny Eiscue in their Max Raid Battles, trading its normal blue ice block head for a purple one. It is not guaranteed that players will catch this Shiny Eiscue, and it will only be able to be found five stars.

Rewards for defeating Pokémons newest penguin representative include Dynite Ore, Armorite Ore, and guaranteed Figy Berries and Hondew Berries. These berries can be used to increase the friendship of a Pokémon at the cost of losing some of their base stats. Beating Eiscue will also reward players with a copy of TR05, containing the infamous Ice-Type move, Ice Beam.

What Eiscue Does In Battle

If you want to capture Eiscue, you don’t have to look very far. And why wouldn’t you want to capture it? It’s a very interesting Pokémon with an interesting;Ability;to go with it. Its Ability, Ice Face, protects Eiscue from the first physical attack that hits it. Once;it’s been hit, the giant ice block on the top of;its head is broken, and he loses some of;its defensive capabilities while gaining speed. If hail is set up after Eiscue has transformed,;it can regain the ice block on;its head, in turn repeating the process again. This Ability does not work with special attacks. While Ice Face is a unique Ability when it comes to battles, it also changes the appearance of Eiscue to reveal…;its true head? That is somehow weirder than its original form? Eiscue is a weird Pokémon, so be sure to add it to your Dex. It’s earned it.
