Bring Creatures From Pokmon Go To Let’s Go And Get A Mystery Box

    ByJim Martin, Editor| 09 Jan 2019

Pokémon Let’s Go is a reimagining of the classic Pokémon series, and harks back to the days of Yellow, Red and Blue. It not only introduces a new way to catch Pokémon, but the ability to transfer your favourite pocket monsters from Pokémon GO to Let’s Go on the Switch.

The process is remarkably unintuitive, but we’ll explain exactly how it’s done. And by the way, you’ll need to have reached the stage in the game where you can speak to the receptionist at Fuchsia City’s GO Park, which will probably take most players 15-20 hours – it’s where the game’s fifth Gym Leader is. Until then, you cannot bring Pokémon across from Go to the Nintendo Switch.

Once you’ve got to that point in Let’s Go Eevee or Pikachu, you can follow the steps below.

Note: if you’re doing this to get a Mystery Box to catch Meltan, you can now transfer Pokémon to the Pokémon HOME app on your phone.

How To Connect Pokemon Go To Switch Lite

Switch Lite is a newer and slightly different version of the Switch. Its cheaper but it also doesnt have all the features that its big brother, the Switch, has. Apart from the smaller dimensions, it only supports handheld mode and does not support all games. Joy-Con controllers must be purchased additionally and the Switch Lite cannot be connected to a TV.

The positive thing is that it still supports Lets Go and can be paired with Pokemon Go. Just like Big Brother, in a few taps through the settings, you pair your Pokemon Go with a Switch and send your Pokemon to Go Park. Go Park an in-game location where you explore, interact with other Pokemon, and of course catch them.

However, for trainers, who play Lets Go on Switch Lite, some things may be a little harder.

For carefree playing and taking advantage of all the benefits of a game, such as a Partner Powers, trainers should buy Joy-Con controllers which is an additional cost. With that said, its a better idea to just invest a little more and buy a regular Switch.

How To Connect Pokemon Unite Accounts To Mobile

How to: connect to Nintendo Switch (pokemon go)

Upon launching Pokémon Unite on mobile, players will be given the option to log into their Nintendo Switch accounts. They will just need to enter the email and password associated with their account, and it will automatically begin to migrate the data over to mobile. There should be no changes to the original account after the link is established. As players continue to play matches on their mobile devices, the progress will carry over on the Nintendo Switch version of the game.

The ability to carry Pokémon Unite wherever the player goes was already possible with the Nintendo Switch version, but unless players were ready to set up a hotspot at every corner, it wasn’t the most viable way to enjoy the game. Now, players can quickly jump into a game from their phone and enjoy a couple of rounds on their commutes.

Also new to this patch is the Squad mechanic, which allows players to come together in a group across platforms if they have similar goals in the game. Combining this with the mobile release has allowed players to forge their own Pokémon Unite communities and progress with friends.

Pokémon Unite is available now on iOS, Android, and Nintendo Switch.
