Brilliant Diamond And Shining Pearl’s Price And Preorder Bonuses

Which Exclusives Are Better? Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl

No matter which version, Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl both have the same price, $59.99 USD. Price isn’t a factor when choosing which version to buy, so fans can rest easy. There’s also a Double Pack that includes both copies for $119.99 USD. Many retailers are also offering preorder bonuses for the Double Pack that varies depending on which retailer it’s bought from. Best Buy, for example, is offering a keychain with the three starters of the game: Chimchar, Turtwig, and Piplup. Gamestop is offering a set of two pins of Dialga and Palkia. Walmart is offering a set of three pens that also feature the games’ starter Pokémon. Finally, Pokémon Center has a set of three keychain plushes of the three starters.

There are few bonuses for preordering single copies of the games. Pokémon Center offers a random keychain plush of one of the three starter Pokémon. Preorders for the physical versions of either Brilliant Diamond or Shining Pearl will include a Manaphy Egg and the newly-revealed Pokémon Platinum outfits for the player characters, regardless of which retailer the game was bought from. Digital preorders also include 12 Quick Balls in addition to the Egg. A digital preorder of the Double Pack includes the Manaphy Egg, the Platinum outfits, the 12 Quick Balls, and an additional 200 Poké Balls.

Dialga Narrowly Beats Out Palkia In The End

Both of these Pokémon are easily some of the strongest in Pokémon Diamond & Pearl, but Dialga ultimately ends up being the stronger option. As a Dragon- and Steel-type, Dialga ditches its weaknesses to Dragon, Fairy, and Ice-type attacks, and its Steel-type moves are effective on those Ice and Fairy-types. Dragons are typically weak to these types, so being a Dragon without any of the common weaknesses of a dragon is a unique attribute that shouldn’t be overlooked. Palkia’s Water and Dragon typing is also quite strong, but he’s still weak to fairy and dragon moves, which makes him vulnerable to the same things as a typical dragon.

Both Pokémon have access to the Pressure and Telepathy abilities, which double the usage of the enemy’s PP and eliminate damage caused by allies respectively. They share a gargantuan base 120 Attack and base 150 Special Attack stat, which allows both of them to annihilate foes with moves like Outrage and Draco Meteor. Palika is slightly faster, but Dialga has a little more health to make up for it. No matter how you slice it, both of these legendary Pokémon are absurdly powerful forces to add to any team, but Dialga’s typing gives it the slight edge over Palkia.

Dialga & Palkia: Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl’s Biggest Difference

The biggest difference between Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, and the biggest factor players need to consider when deciding on which game they want to get, is the inclusion of Dialga or Palkia. Because players can only capture one of each legendary Pokémon in any given game, its difficult to permanently trade for the one they dont already have. Its a lot more common to request a trade for the one theyre missing to fill out its Pokédex entry, then return the legendary Pokémon to its original Trainer immediately. But players who want to keep the legendary Pokémon permanently, or even use it on their own team, will find it best to simply get the game that features the legendary they want so they can catch it themselves.

Dialga is a defensive Steel- and Dragon-type legendary Pokémon exclusive to Brilliant Diamond. Palkia is an offensive Water- and Dragon-type legendary Pokémon only found in Shining Pearl. Although Dialga is generally a little more flexible in battle, both are extremely powerful and useful in casual and competitive play. Most players, especially more casual players, will find its best to choose between design preference, or preference towards defensive or offensive Pokémon.

Possible Differences Between Brilliant Diamond And Shining Pearl

Pokemon Brilliant Diamond or Shining Pearl? Whats the best?

Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl are both still a ways away from releasing, so it’s impossible to say exactly what the major differences will be between them. Historically, Pokémon games have been near-identical aside from their exclusive Pokémon. However, the new games have many features that past ones have not. Character customization, Pokémon Contests, and Walking Pokémon have been in past games, and the Underground was a feature in the original Diamond and Pearl, but no game has had all of them before. It’s entirely possible that these features will lead to differences between the two versions.

Character customization has been a fan-favorite feature in every Pokémon game it’s been featured in. There have already been several outfits debuted in various trailers, and it’s possible that certain outfits will be exclusive to one version of the game or another. Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon featured version-exclusive clothing, so it wouldn’t be a stretch to expect it in Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl. There could also be version-exclusive accessories in Super Contests, or decorations for players’ Secret Bases in the Grand Underground. There’s also the possibility that the games will make certain Gym Leaders version-exclusive, like Pokémon Sword and Shield did.

Pokemon Brilliant Diamond And Shining Pearl Differences Explained

  • 5:09 ET, Nov 18 2021
  • Invalid Date,

POKEMON Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl are releasing this week, but what’s the difference between the two games?

The titles are remakes of the original Pokemon Diamond and Pearl which launched on the Nintendo DS in 2007.

The main difference in these double releases is the pokemon available in each title.

Each version has a specific Legendary pokemon available, depicted on the box art: Dialga in Brilliant Diamond, and Palkia in Shining Pearl.

You can find more Legendary pokemon in the newly introduced area called Ramanas Park.

It’s unlocked after you beat the Elite Four, and the Legendary pokemon are version specific.

There are other pokemon exclusive to each title, as well as particular fossils that can be revived into version exclusive pokemon.

We’ve popped them all below so you can decide which variant of the game is best for you.

How To Get Version Exclusive Pokemon

Just because you committed to one version of the game, doesn’t mean you’ll miss out on the pokemon exclusive to the other.

If you want to round out your Pokedex, you’ll need to trade with other players locally or online.

You can do this using the Union Room feature, which allows you to trade, battle, and interact with other trainers.

Brilliant Diamond Has The Better Legendary Trio

Brilliant Diamond also has the better legendary trio in the Legendary Beasts, namely Raikou, Entei, and Suicune. The Legendary Birds are powerful too, but their secondary Flying-typing adds more of a drawback to each of them, than it does an advantage.

Within Ramanas Park in the post game, you can catch the Legendary Beasts in Brilliant Diamond and the Legendary Birds in Shining Pearl.

Possible Returning Features In Pokemon Brilliant Diamond And Shining Pearl

Two New Pokemon Games Leak for the Switch Diamond & Pearl ...

At this stage it is not known whether the aforementioned Pokemon will have regional forms introduced with Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and ShiningPearl, considering the concept was first introduced in generation seven. This remains a possibility, though, and it would be interesting to see new forms for beloved critters in the region of Sinnoh and see what they could look like and change into. If that proves to be the case, then it’s likely that the regional variants will differ based on the version of the game.

Furthermore, considering how cooler the climate in the region of Sinnoh is, and a reduced amount of Fire Pokemon found in the wilds, it is likely that some critters of this type will inherit an Ice form. This could extend to Pokemon like the Pearl-exclusive Houndour and Houndoom, or Magby, Magmar, and Magmortar. Ponyta and Rapidash are unlikely to receive a regional form if that happens to be a thing in Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, as they just got a Galarian form in Pokemon Sword and Shield.

Another thing that is pure speculation at this point is that Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl could bring back Pokemon from other generations, even ones that were not out yet back when Diamond and Pearl launched. Pokemon Sword and Shield did something similar in the form of starters from generation one and generation seven becoming available in the first DLC for the titles, Isle ofArmor.

Wild Pokmon Exclusive To Brilliant Diamond

In addition to Dialga and Palkia, there are some regular wild Pokémon that only appear in Brilliant Diamond or Shining Pearl. These Pokémon are a lot easier to trade for both temporarily, when completing the Pokédex, and permanently, for team usage, thanks to their frequent appearance in the wild. This is a list of wild Pokémon exclusive to Brilliant Diamond based on the Pokémon that are exclusive to the original Diamond.

Which Version Should Players Buy Pokemon Brilliant Diamond Vs Shining Pearl

Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl will be just like other sets of the franchise, with notable differences between the two games.

These are the first Pokemon main series games made by a studio other than Game Freak. ILCA has been given the green light to deliver remakes of Generation IV’s beloved Diamond and Pearl.

Which version should one purchase? The differences should fall along the lines of the originals, meaning the choice will probably come down to version-exclusive Pokemon. If that’s the case, Brilliant Diamond is the way to go.

Building A Team In Pokmon Brilliant Diamond And Shining Pearl

The version-exclusive Pokémon don’t make too much of a difference for fans who aren’t picky about them, but competitive players will want to make sure they get the Pokémon with the best stats possible. Shieldon and its evolution, Bastiodon, have some of the best Defense stats in the game. On the other end of the spectrum, Cranidos and Rampardos have some of the best Attack. For fans who take the games seriously, choosing between Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl may come down to the numbers rather than the actual Pokémon.

Brilliant Diamond, if it follows the original Diamond’s exclusive list, would have Scizor, Tyranitar, Dewgong, Mightyena, Honchkrow, Kecleon, and Aggron. Aggron, Scizor, and Tyranitar are fan-favorite Pokémon and powerhouses that would make a good addition to a competitive team. They also all have Mega Evolved forms, so if the Diamond and Pearl remakes do have Mega Evolution, as many fans hope, they would become even better. Shining Pearl, on the other hand, would have Slowbro and Slowking, Walrein, Pinsir, Houndoom, Stantler, Mismagius, and Salamence. Salamence, Slowbro, and Houndoom also all have Mega Evolved forms and could be key members of any player’s competitive team. If Mega Evolution does make a comeback, certain Mega Stones could even be version-exclusive.

Will Pokemon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl Have Platinums Pokedex

Pokemon Brilliant Diamond Shining Pearl ( Which Legendary Is Better Dialga Or palkia?)

As mentioned briefly above, ILCA has not yet confirmed whether the Sinnoh remakes will also feature Pokemon Platinums Pokedex. In 2008, the third Gen IV title considerably overhauled the base game and expanded the total mon from 151 to 210.

After the trailer made its debut back in February, eagle-eyed fans spotted NPCs and overworld changes that were not in the original 2006 release, so anything is possible. It would be pretty shocking for them not to include Giratina, though.

The Gen IV titles are fairly balanced in terms of the exclusives offered in each one. Diamond, for instance, has Scizor with 500 base stats, whereas Pearl has Pinsir with the same point total. Similarly, Salamence and Tyranitar also match up equally when it comes to power.

Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl: Different Evolution Pokmon

The number of version exclusive Pokémon in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl comes out to 20 exclusive Pokémon each. In total, both games each feature one unique legendary, one exclusive fossil, ten different wild Pokémon, seven evolution Pokémon, and one Pokémon that needs to be bred from a later evolution stage. The following list is of Pokémon that cant be found in the wild, but evolve from or into version exclusive Pokémon.

Brilliant Diamond:

Which Is Best Pokemon Diamond Or Pearl

This is really a matter of opinion. The two versions vary onwhich Pokemon you can catch.

Many think Diamond is the better game because of the betterlooking Pokemon and Dialga looks stranger then Palkia, but, in truefact, Pearl is a better version. Plakia is the stronger one. Dalgais Dragon and Steel type, where as Palkia is Dragon and Water. Thetwo dragon types cancle each other out, but water has a bettereffect on steel then steel has on water, but neither are supereffective to each other.

Another reason why Pearl is better is because the Pokemon seemto level up quicker then on Diamond. I have both games and I havehad a Dratini on each, lv 1. Both of them battled a Starly lv 2 andthe Pearl Dratini’s exp level was a few sections higher then theDiamond Dratini when they both got the same amount of exp.

The final reason why Pearl is better is because of Poffins andAmurty Square. You have a better chance of getting a good Poffin onPearl then you do on Diamond. My friend and I found this out when Imade a Poffin on both games, same berry, same way, no burns notspillage and the one on Pearl was better. And Amurty Square, youhave a much better chance of getting a good item there then you doon Diamond.
