How To Catch Eevee In Pokemon Sword And Shield

How to get Sylveon in Pokemon Sword and Shield

So you can acquire an Eevee in Pokemon Sword and Shield in more than one way. The first, which weve already briefly mentioned, is to actually own Pokemon Lets Go Eevee and have a save file of it on your Switch. If you do, youll be able to pick up the Gigantamax Eevee from one of two trainers in the Wild Area train station by the Meetup Spot.

However, if youre just looking out for your average Eevee, weve got some good news. Sure, its not going to be as adorably fluffy as the Gigantamax version that you can get, but theyre actually not super difficult to find in the wild. Our recommendation would be to head straight for Route 4 after arriving from Wedgehurst and to just start running around until you spot them scampering around.

Take your time to head back and forth between the areas til an Eevee makes its presence known, then proceed how you normally would when it comes to catching any other Pokemon. Eevee can evolve into all of its Eeveelutions in this game so long as youve got the right evolution stone or meet the right conditions. For example, weve got a guide on how to turn your Eevee into a Sylveon if youre interested, and you can check that out here.

Now that weve told you how to catch Eevee in Pokemon Sword and Shield, why not check out some other tips and tricks that weve put together for aspiring Trainers in the Galar region?

How To Increase A Pokemons Friendship Level Fast And Easy

The second is a bit trickier, as it requires you to improve your bond with your Eevee until it has been maxed out.

This can take quite a while if you dont know how to increase Friendship in Pokemon Sword and Shield, so weve laid out the different methods for increasing the stat below:

  • Use them in battle. Putting them in against opponents in battle, and winning battles with them, will cause their Friendship level to increase at a steady pace.
  • Dont let them faint. If they do, their Friendship level will decrease. Instead, keep them healthy and heal them to keep their Friendship level on the uptick.
  • Interact with them at your camp. You should play with them regularly, and feed them curry that they like as often as possible.
  • Give them the Soothe Bell to hold. This will increase the amount their Friendship level increases from all of the above methods. You can find the Soothe Bell by talking to the girl in the house to the right of the Hammerlocke Pokémon Center.

Hopefully, this cleared up how to get Sylveon in Pokemon Sword and Shield. For more on the game, check out our guide wiki as well as our guides on hot topics like how to get Sun Stones and how to evolve Helioptile into Heliolisk.

How To Get The Sylveon In Pokemon Sword And Shield

There are many locations in the Pokemon Sword and Shield where you can get the Sylveon. You can find it via scouting a place or by engaging in Max Raid battles.

As for the location, you can find Sylveon Pokemon Shield in the Lake of Outrage. This Zone is a part of the Wild Area in the gameplay. Moreover, the weather needs to be foggy if you want to increase your chances of finding Sylveon.

You can find a lot of rare, common, very rare, and super rare Pokemon in this area. These include Galvantula, Umbreon, Leafeon, Espeon, Hatterene, and Bisharp.

However, you might need to wander around a lot for getting access to these Pokemon. Lake of Outrage can be quite tricky at times. But this is the only location where you can find the Sylveon Eevee evolution. So, you need to explore it completely.

Similarly, you can also find Pokemon Sword and Shield Sylveon via the Max Raid Battles. Further, it is a new part of the gameplay where trainers can find and approach the Beacons from Pokemon Dens. And this is where they have to take on Dynamax or Gigantamax Pokemon.

So, you need to stay on your toes when exploring the Max Raid Battles. Things can get unpredictable there.

However, if you familiarize yourself with Max Raid Battle tips and tricks, the gameplay can become quite easier for you. So, youd be able to better deal with the Pokemon in a Den.

Evolving Eevee With Friendship

Pokemon Sword and Shield: How to Get Sylveon

The remaining three Eeveelutions can be obtained by leveling Eevee up with high enough friendship. To raise your friendship level, simply interact with your Eevee in Pokémon Camp. You can play with it, talk to it, and cook curry for your entire team to raise their friendship levels.

To make your Pokemon even more friendly toward you, use the Soothe Bell held item. This item can be obtained in a house in Hammerlocke. This house is located to the right of the Pokémon Center and path to the castle, right near the citys entrance. You can also find out how friendly your Pokémon is feeling toward you in this location.

In addition to leveling up with high friendship, each of these Pokémon has an additional requirement for evolving. To get Espeon, you must level up during the day and for Umbreon, at night. The time is determined by your Switchs system clock, though different times of day are only apparent in the Wild Area.

For Sylveon, it doesnt matter what time of day you evolve your Eevee, but it must know a fairy-type move in order to evolve into this Eeveelution. Eevee can learn the Fairy-type move Baby-Doll Eyes at level 15. It is also capable of learning the Fairy-type TM move Charm.

Heres Where To Find Eevee In Pokemon Sword And Shield

With its floofy tail and kind smile, Eevee is one of the most popular Pokemon in the series. That makes it one of the most sought-after Pokemon in every generation of the games and Pokemon Sword and Shield. is no different

What makes Eevee even desirable in each Pokemon title are the eight Eeveelutions that allow Eevee to eventually fit into any given party. While there are no new Eeveelutions in Pokemon Sword and Shield, trainers still want to catch multiple Eevee in order to evolve each one into their favorite Eeveelutions.

To Get Sylveon In Pokmon Go You Have To Evolve Eevee In A Specific Way

As previously mentioned, Eevee has had a lot of evolution iterations over the years, and Sylveon is just the latest one to join the roster. However, evolution works a bit differently in Pokémon GOas opposed to other Pokémon games in the past. The evolution process in this game is dictated by feeding the Pokémon a certain number of candies that will eventually evolve them. Candies arent exactly the easiest thing to come by either, so players constantly work hard to track down enough.

Once you have the required number of candies , you can go ahead and begin the basic evolution process. This will allow the Eevee to randomly turn into Vaporeon, Jolteon, or Flareon, but not Sylveon. To get Sylveon, a different, special step has to be taken.

If you rename Eevee as Kira it will specifically evolve into Sylveon, which is a fairy-type Pokémon. Its important to note that this specific trick will only work once for each evolution type, so players have to be really sure that Sylveon is the Pokémon they want to go with.

But remember this warning: You must make sure that Sylveons silhouette is on the evolve button, because if its not showing it, then theres a high likelihood Eevee might evolve into one of its other iterations.

Which Is The Best Eevee Evolution

Alright, you now know the tricks to get the evolution you want, which one should you choose to evolve your Eevee into? Below are the stats of each type to help you decide. Is it about the look, the ability to defend or inflict damage?

Pokemon
205 163

The table above shows that Espeon, Glaceon, and Vaporeon have the highest max XP while Espeon and Glaceon have high attacks. Vaporeon has the highest stamina and it is also the evolution most players would point to as being the strongest. It is a solid water-type that rivals a lot of the harder-to-get Pokemon and is only outclassed by Pokemon like Kyogre and Gyarados.

Leafeon and Glaceon are both solid in several scenarios, especially if you dont have a better grass-type or ice-type. They can do a decent amount of damage and take some hits, making them a solid pick for raids and certain team compositions. Umbreon, despite its low attacks, is very good defensively.

Flareon, Jolteon, and Espeon, on the other hand, are all outclassed by a good chunk of Pokemon of their type and dont offer much to mitigate the stat deficits against the likes of Entei, Zapdos, or Mewtwo. Once Sylveon is added to Pokemon Go it might take the crown as the best overall Eeveeloution.

How To Get And Use The Glacial Lure & Mossy Lure To Get Glaceon And Leafeon

How to Catch Sylveon – Pokémon Sword & Shield

The final current Eeveelutions available in Pokemon Go are Glaceon and Leafeon, and this duo has the most specific evolution method yet.

First of all, dont forget that you can do the name trick once again to get Glaceon and Leafeon for the first time. As detailed above, name your Eevee Rea to have it evolve to Glaceon, and name your Eevee Linnea to have it evolve to Leafeon. After that, however, youll need to fulfil special requirements to evolve more of these Pokemon.

Specifically, in order to evolve more Eevee into Glaceon or Leafeon, youll need some new items: the Glacial Lure and the Mossy Lure. These two new types of Lure Module are available in the shop and will soon be appearing as Field Research Rewards. These lures exist to make you more able to catch different Pokemon the Glacial lures in Water and Ice type Pokemon, while the Mossy attracts Bug and Grass types.

Theres an added benefit to these, however: when theyre placed, they can impact Eevee Evolution. Simply place one of the lures in a Pokestop if you place the Mossy Lure youll be able to evolve any Eevee you have into Leafeon while standing in that Pokestops radius . If you place the Glacial Lure on a Pokestop, thats when youll be able to evolve into Glaceon just remain within the Pokestops radius. This works even if you didnt place the lure, too, so you can share this chance with other players.

  • Location: Lake of Outrage and Giant’s Bed.
  • Max Raid Battle Location: Giant’s Mirror and Ballimere Lake.
  • Weather Requirements: Sandstorm.

How To Evolve Eevee Into Jolteon

Jolteon is an Electric-type Eevee evolution, and is one of the original three Eeveelutions.

To evolve Eevee into Jolteon, simply give it a Thunder Stone.

How To Get All Eevee Evolutions In Pokemon Sword And Shield

In Pokemon Sword and Shield, Eevee has the ability to evolve into eight different Pokemon depending on what you do. For example, if you give Eevee a Fire Stone, itll evolve into the Fire-type evolution, Flareon. If youve yet to catch an Eevee, they can be found along Route 4.

Additionally, if you have save data stored on your Switch from Pokemon: Lets Go, Eevee, youll receive the Gigantamax gift version of Eevee. However, this version will not evolve, meaning youll still need to catch yourself an Eevee along Route 4. Once you have an Eevee you can evolve, again, you have eight possible evolution types.

Below, weve listed each one, and a description on how to get Eevee to evolve into that particular evolution in Pokemon Sword and Shield!

If youre set on getting all eight evolutions of Eevee, youll need to put the work in when it comes to catching eight different Eevee along Route 4. Evolving Eevee With Evolution Stones

As with previous Pokémon games, Flareon, Jolteon, and Vaporeon can be obtained by using evolution stones on Eevee. The stones needed to evolve Eevee into these five Eeveelutions can be found on the ground in various locations throughout the region.

The stones needed to evolve Eevee into these Pokémon, and where to find the stones, are as follows.
