A blend of conventional RPG and Pokemon Go gameplay, Pokemon: Let’s Go, Pikachu and Let’s Go, Eevee on the Nintendo Switch introduced a new generation of Pokemon trainers to the Kanto region, with stylish reimagining of the original Pokemon Red, Blue, and Yellow Game Boy games. This is a follow up to my switch post about Gaia last night.
Heres how i was able to do it all, in one night after a few hours of guessing and hoping for the best.
Hardware Requirements before starting

Step 1: Entering RCM mode
Check here for agreat guide on the many ways to enter RCM mode .This is the step that turns most people away, but i assure you that once youre past this point its fairly simple. I personally did the tinfoil method, because i did not want to wait for the plastic jigs you can buy online. This method is not recommended by the community and can cause shorts in your switch whichWILL DESTROY YOUR SWITCH. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.
Step 2: Downloading software, and pushing the payload.
This is the site i used for My CFW. follow these instructions to the dot. At this point we are only half way through the process. Use TEIGRA. its very simple and easy to understand. i have not tested any other payload pushers.
Step 3: Downloading and installing Retroarch
download the Switch version of Retroarch. DO NOT DOWNLOAD THE NSP FILE. YOU WILL BE BANNED FROM ONLINE PLAY.
To install Retroarch:
extract the files from the compressed folder
place the Retroarch folder onto the root of your SD card
Step 4: Download, and patch Gaia using your preferred method
Launch retroarch.

Pokmon Omega Ruby And Alpha Sapphire Would Port Well For The Switch
Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire reimagined the Hoenn region, utilizing updated graphics and enhanced gameplay, without losing the charms of the Hoenn from the original titles. Released after Pokémon X and Y, Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire integrated Mega Evolution as a major component of the remakes. New Mega-capable Pokémon were introduced to the original list from X and Y, as well as the Primal versions of each game’s Legendary mascot.

The concept of the game is that youre a photographer called Todd Snap, and you travel around the world, taking pictures of different Pokémon species. Once youve taken 60 pictures, you take them back to Professor Oak, who rates each one.
Its a simple concept that could be perfect for you depending on what kind of games you like. Next month, Bandai Namco Studios are putting out the sequel.
While the original was criticized for only including 63 Pokémon, New Pokémon Snap will feature over 200 different Pokémon. Now, youll traverse through jungles, beaches, and deserts on your hovercraft to take your photos and will take them to Professor Mirror who helps judge them with the help of Rita and Phil. Photos can now be retouched and shared online where the most liked pictures will be shared in-game.
A new addition is the Illumina phenomenon, which was teased at the end of the trailer. Youre tasked with helping to investigate it.

Pok Stop: Pokmon Caf Remix
This relaxing puzzle game has the cutest Pokémon art style I’ve ever seen and will keep you entertained for hours. It’s up to you to meet and bring more Pokémon staff to your cafe. The more successful your cafe becomes, the more upgrades you’ll be able to add. It’s free to start, but there are in-game microtransactions as well.
Super Smash Bros Ultimate
While not strictly a Pokémon game per se, fans of the series will definitely want to give this game a try. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is a celebration of all things Nintendo and Pokémon is a big chunk of that. Pikachu, Jigglypuff, Mewtwo, Pichu, Lucario, Greninja and Incineroar are all among the playable Smash fighters, as well as a Pokémon Trainer who can switch between Squirtle, Ivysaur and Charizard.
There are also lots of popular Pokémon world locales that appear as playable stages, with a huge range of other Pokémon appearing as allies if you release them from a Poké Ball, and even more of them appearing as unlockable Spirits. Classic Pokmon Games Deserve A Nintendo Switch Port
Many past Pokémon games would benefit from a Nintendo Switch port, allowing games on outdated systems to be accessible for fans on a modern console.
Each generation in the Pokémon series has introduced notable characters, stories, and species that have become a major part of the entire franchise. Iconic characters like Red and Blue from Pokémon Red, Blue, and Yellow continue to make appearances in recent games and media, while features like Dynamax in Sword and Shield put a fresh spin on classic battle mechanics. However, Pokémon has always struggled with a major setback. Every few generations of the Pokémon series new consoles release, creating an issue with the playability of older titles. Because of this, many classic entries of the main Pokémon games would benefit from being ported to modern consoles like the Nintendo Switch.
During 2016, Pokémon Red, Blue, and Yellow were officially ported to the Nintendo 3Ds. These titles were followed by Pokémon Gold, Silver, and Crystal in 2017 and 2018. The ports brought the games forward from the Game Boy and Game Boy Color, allowing those unable to obtain the older consoles and vintage game cartridges to replay, or experience for the first time, the beginning of the Pokémon series. However, the release of the ports overlapped with the release of the Nintendo Switch, which eventually overtook the 3Ds as Nintendo’s primary console, again locking the titles to an outdated system.

Pokmon Sword & Shield
This was the first main entry in the Pokémon series to be released on a Nintendo home console, making it a significant milestone in the history of the series. It takes place in a new region called Galar, which is based on the UK, and introduces Dynamaxing to Pokémon battles, allowing them to grow to enormous sizes under certain conditions.
While it maintained the traditional turn-based battles that much of the series uses, it also added something called the Wild Area. This is a large portion of the map, where, for the first time, players are completely free to go wherever they want and adjust the camera as they explore this expansive wilderness. If you buy the games DLC packs, this concept is taken even further, with a whole island that can be explored in the same way as the Wild Area. The Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild
While it’s hard to recommend The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild to novice young players, it’s easy to recommend it to preteens. As the first truly open-world The Legend of Zelda game, Breath of the Wild is a grand, sweeping experience filled with clever puzzles, tough enemies, and all of the wonder people have come to expect with Zelda games. Breath of the Wild really succeeds in capturing a near unparalleled sense of adventure, whether you’re riding on horseback, scaling a mountain, or working your way through a puzzle in one of the many Shrines. It’s the type of game that brings adults back to their childhoods, which makes it a rather perfect game to introduce to your own kids as well. Pokmon Sun And Moon On Nintendo Switch
However, these postings may be related to a rumour weve heard before. Its been said that there is a Nintendo Switch version of the most recent series entries, Pokémon Sun and Moon, in the works. It wont actually be called Sun and Moon, though. Instead, its tipped to be titled Pokémon Stars, which follows the celestial naming scheme of the latest games.
It would supposedly act as the third entry in the latest generation of Pokémon games, like Pokémon Yellow to the original Pokémon Red and Blue. Theres usually a third game in a generation thats launched later than the original pair a trend that continued until Pokémon Platinum for Pokémon Diamond and Pearl.
Supposedly, Pokémon Stars would be the third game to compliment Pokémon Sun and Moon but for the first time, the third game would launch on a different console to the originals.
If that is true, the Nintendo Switch would technically become the first Pokémon game to launch on a home console.
According to a report from Eurogamer, development on Pokémon Stars for the Nintendo Switch was paused at the end of last year to allow the team to apply the finishing touches to Pokémon Sun and Moon for the 3DS. But, it would seem that these efforts have now reignited.
Release Date: Late 2021
One of the other games announced in celebration of Pokémons 25th anniversary was Pokémon Brilliant Diamond& Shining Pearl. It will be an enhanced remake of Pokémon Diamond & Pearl which is a fourth-generation game that was released on the Nintendo DS in 2006 in Japan .
The return to Sinnoh is highly anticipated amongst fans. The Diamond& Pearl games were a key turning point in the Pokémon series because they were a step up from previous games and showed fans what the future of the franchise would be. Fourth-generation is where online battling and trading was first introduced so its only fitting that it comes back around here. Aside from the obvious graphical changes, the remakes are believed to be faithful.
Interestingly, the games are being developed by ICLA and overseen by Game Freak, when usually the latter is the main developer. This makes this the first time a main series Pokémon game where Game Freak is not the lead developer.

What Is The Difference Between Pokemon Lets Go Pikachu And Pokemon Lets Go Eevee
The Pokemon in the game are different. Pikachu is only available in Pokemon Lets Go Pikachu, and Eevee is only available in Pokemon Lets Go Eevee. Even if you use the same Nintendo account, your game cannot be switched midway to play with another character.
You can catch wild pokemon by throwing pokeballs in Pokemon Lets Go Pikachu, but you cannot in Pokemon Lets Go Eevee.
Some wild pokemon only appear in one game. For example, Oddish can be found in Lets Go Pikachu, but Bellsprout can only be found in Lets Go Eevee.
Transferring your old pokemon from Pokemon GO to Lets Go Pikachu or Eevee is limited to some specific pokemon. You can check the list on Pokemon official website.
Some pokemon are available only in one game. For example, Bulbasaur and Vulpix appear only in Pokemon Lets Go Pikachu, whereas Sandshrew appears only in Pokemon Lets Go Eevee.
Pokmon Diamond And Pearl Need Switch Ports Before November
Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, the remakes of Diamond and Pearl released in 2006, will be available to play for the Nintendo Switch on November 19, 2021. Nintendo has teased gameplay, revealing a colorful reimaging of the classic Sinnoh region, as well as updated battle mechanics and additional features. While it isn’t yet known if the remakes will be as true to the originals as past full remakes have been, Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl would benefit from Switch ports of the original games before the release of the remake.
Originally released for the Nintendo DS, Diamond and Pearl are among the many Pokémon games that have become hard to find due to the passage of time. Nintendo hasn’t rereleased physical copies of past Pokémon games, making the original copies the only ones available. While Diamond and Pearl are technically playable on the Nintendo 3DS due to backward compatibility with the previous DS systems, many fans of the series may find their original cartridges have been lost, have stopped working, or perhaps the players never had the chance to purchase the games upon their original release.

Pokémon Legends: Arceus may be the latest Pokémon game in the series to be released on the Nintendo Switch, but Switch owners have been treated to quite a few Pokémon games since the consoles launch. If you want to catch up after enjoying Pokémon Legends: Arceus, theres no time like the present.
Whats been exciting about the Pokémon Switch games is the variety. There are remakes that bring new mechanics to classic games, two very different fighting games, returns to iconic spin-offs of the past, and explorations into new genres and game styles.
Its fair to say that these games make up some of the best Switch RPGs, but even the non-RPG games here have been very well made and deserve a spot in your library. If youre new to the series, the games on the Switch actually span most of the series history, making it rather a good console to own if youre a new fan who wants to catch up.

The Old Pokmon Games Need Nintendo Switch Ports

For many fans of Pokémon, the games that got them into the series have been lost to time. Currently relegated to ageing cartridges, the older Pokémon titles need to be ported to a modern system like the Nintendo Switch so that fans wanting to go back and play the original games can access them more easily. Porting the older generation Pokémon games to Switch would fix the age-induced accessibility issues for these titles and remove the risk of players downloading illegitimate ports in hopes of playing through a favorite generation one more time.
Pokémon games have been coming out since 1996, starting with the original Game Boy, and have steadily released through the evolution of Nintendo handheld consoles. Because of this, Pokémon games predating the 3DS have been left behind as their consoles become obsolete or break down. While some players may have a copy of every game stored away, working consoles may no longer be accessible without a substantial cost, making playing these older titles difficult.
