How To Find Legendary Rayquaza In Pokmon: Crown Tundra Dlc

How to Use Rayquaza in Pokemon Sword and Shield! Rayquaza Moveset Guide!

In the Pokémon Sword & Shield Crown Tundra DLC, players can experience new story missions in the Max Raid Dungeon and capture all Legendary Pokémon.

One of the new additions to Pokémon Sword & Shield in the Crown Tundra DLC is the Max Raid Dungeon, a new Dynamax Adventure mode. In this mode, players experience new story missions that will take them to several dungeons. They may choose their path to determine the Pokémon creature Types they will encounter, until they reach the last one, which is often a Legendary Pokémon. The Crown Tundra DLC was highly anticipated for its reintroduction of nearly every Legendary Pokémon. In the new Max Raid Dungeons, all Legendary Pokémon have a 100% catch rate, regardless of the type of Pokéball used.

One fan-favorite Legendary Pokémon players can look forward to facing during their Dynamax adventures is Rayquaza. First introduced in Generation 3, this Dragon and Flying Type Pokémon is only available in Max Raid Dungeons. Though it is weak to Dragon, Fairy, Rock, and Ice Type moves, Rayquaza will make an excellent addition to parties going against some of the strongest Fire and Water Type Pokémon. Players going after Rayquaza will need to follow the story missions and prepare for a long fight to capture it. Here’s how to find and capture Legendary Rayquaza in Dynamax Adventures in the Pokémon Sword & Shield Crown Tundra DLC.

How To Get Galarian Zapdos In Pokemon Sword And Shield

Tips for finding the speedy Fighting/Flying-type Pokémon

The Crown Tundra is Pokémon Sword and Shields newest expansion, and it introduces new forms of the original legendary bird trio from Pokémon Red and Blue. Now, at long last, we can catch them. Galarian Zapdos is not an Electric/Flying-type, instead adopting the Fighting-type, a combo thats weak to every other legendary bird.

We still reckon that Keldeo is a far more time-consuming Pokémon to get than any of the legendary birds, but Galarian Zapdos may be the best of the Galarian forms of the trio, thanks to a massive Attack stat. It stands a good chance at cracking the threshold of the best Crown Tundra Pokémon, but maybe the competitive community will find out something we dont currently know.

Just the same as the other legendary birds, Galarian Zapdos can be a tricky one to catch, not least because it runs away from you as soon as it sees you in the Wild Area. But dont worry, its actually not that hard to catch up to the Fighting/Flying-type Pokémon once you know how. Well help you chase down Galarian Zapdos, as well as give you the stats for this legendary bird.

Catch Rayquaza In Dynamax Adventures

Rayquaza is one of the Pokemon you can find and catch during your Dynamax Adventures in The Crown Tundra DLC. Catching Pokemon in the Max Lair has a 100% chance of success, no matter what Pokeball you use, and even for Legendary Pokemon!

You can see a Pokemon’s type before you decide which path to take, so rally your friends and get hunting!

Rayquaza appears as an occasional stage hazard in the Dragonmark Chamber of the Kalos Pokémon League stage. Appearing rarely, it flies across the stage at various angles, dealing damage to fighters. Its path is shown briefly by lightning before it appears, giving players time to avoid it.

Trophy information

This Dragon- and Flying-type Pokemon usually dwells high in the ozone layer, so it can’t be seen from the ground. In the Kalos Pokemon League stage, it occasionally flies at great speed through the Elite Four’s Dragon-type chamber, where any fighters in its path will be damaged and launched with great force.

Rayquaza appears as a Spirit, as well as retaining its rare appearance in the Dragonmark Chamber on the Kalos Pokémon League stage.

How Do You Get Legendaries In Emerald

The location of each legendary is different from others in Emerald. So, to catch every legendary, you should know about their location and route to follow. Plus, there is a target to cross levels to reach the legendary. Here we have discussed the way to catch a few of the legendaries in Emerald. However, for all legendary, the way is almost the same.

Dynamax Adventures Shiny Pokmon

Ok, so heres probably what youre here for: how to get shiny Pokémon in Max Lairs. Thanks to YouTuber AustinJohnPlays, we now know that the shiny odds for any individual Pokémon is 1 in 300 encounters. If you have the Shiny Charm item, obtained for completing the original Pokémon Sword and Shield Pokédex these odds increase to 1 in 100 encounters.

To stand the best chance of catching a shiny Pokémon, make sure you catch every single Dynamax Pokémon you encounter. When you finish your run, you are given the opportunity to keep any of the Pokémon you caught during your run. You dont have to switch them in to replace your current Pokémon either, just catch them. Since there is a 100% catch rate for any Pokémon in the Max Lair, you can just stock up on regular Pokéballs and use those.

You will only know if a Pokémon is shiny at the end of your Dynamax Adventure run. The Pokémon will never appear as a shiny in the actual battles, but will appear as a shiny sprite on the final screen at the end of a Dynamax Adventure.

You can use this to shiny hunt legendary Pokémon, and you can always go through the set route to re-encounter them if theyre not shiny, provided you didnt pick it of course.

Shiny Hunting In Max Lair

The final method for finding a Shiny Legendary in Pokémon Sword and Shields Crown Tundra DLC is the one youll likely spend the most time on, and can be one of the most efficient Shiny Hunting methods the game has ever given us.

When you run through a Max Lair, its important to remember that the Pokémon you encounter and catch will not appear to be shiny until the adventure is over and the game lets you pick one to keep. At the end of the Max Lair youll be allowed to choose one Pokémon to keep.

If you had a successful run, captured three normal Pokémon throughout and captured the Legendary Pokémon, youll have four to choose from. This is a key moment, because youll need to look closely to see if any of the ones you caught are in their Shiny Form.

This is fairly obvious for some Pokémon, but more difficult to discern with the naked eye for others. To be sure, you can check the summary of the Pokémon and look for the red stars on the left that indicate it is a Shiny Pokémon.

Your odds are pretty good when doing a Max Lair, as youll have a 1 in 100 chance of each Pokémon you catch being in its Shiny Form. That gives you a decent 1% chance of catching a Shiny Legendary, and three more chances with the same odds of catching a regular Shiny Pokémon.

Make sure you keep something else that was caught, or nothing, so that youll have the chance to go after it again. After the Max Lair is over, youll be given the option to jot down where to find that Pokémon for next time.

Every Legendary Pokmon Is In The Crown Tundra And Here’s How To Catch ’em All

How to get RAYQUAZA in Crown Tundra Pokemon Sword & Shield DLC Legendary Pokemon

Legendary Pokémon are beasts of myth and legend, the greatest and most powerful beings in the games, and in the Crown Tundra, legendary Pokémon seem to be running amuck and unchecked. Thats until you show up. There are no fewer than 58 legendary Pokémon that appear in the Pokémon Sword and Shield DLC and its your job as ever to catch em all.

In the Crown Tundra, legendary Pokémon can be obtained through a variety of different ways. Some require you to track them or solve puzzles, for others you need to delve deep into a Dynamax Adventure, and some just need you to play through the story. To be honest, some of these Pokémon are impossible to miss, but others have incredibly complex and confusing methods to unlock them.

This guide tells you how to find and catch every legendary Pokémon in the Crown Tundra, so be warned: there are a few spoilers for the story and puzzles that youll face. There are more in-depth guides for the more complicated puzzles, so weve linked them in each section as well.

How To Catch Galarian Zapdos

To find Galarian Zapdos, you will first need to reach the giant tree Dyna Tree Hill, far to the south of the new region in The Crown Tundra. Its very close to Ballimere Lake. After watching the cutscene where all the birds have a fight, they will all go their separate ways.

Galarian Zapdos heads to the regular Wild Area. You can find out how to catch Galarian Articuno and Galarian Moltres in our other guides, but heres what you need to do to encounter the Fighting/Flying-type:

  • Take the Flying Taxi to the Meeting Point. This is the first part of the Wild Area that you reached in the main game.
  • Get on your bike and ride down the hill. Galarian Zapdos will begin to run away from you.
  • Eventually, Zapdos will begin to tire out as you keep chasing it. Use the boost to catch up to it and eventually youll run into the legendary bird.
  • If you lose track of Galarian Zapdos, just fly back to Meeting Point and try again.

This is quite a tough Pokémon if youre underprepared, so make sure you have a Psychic-type to negate half of its moves. Galarian Articuno is the optimal counter if you have it. We also recommend a Pokémon that knows Stun Spore or Hypnosis.

How To Get Dynamax Adventures Shiny Pokmon In Sword And Shield

Everything you need to know about The Crown Tundra’s multiplayer dungeon crawler

One of the biggest features introduced to Pokémon Sword and Shields Crown Tundra expansion is Dynamax Adventures. This is a gauntlet found in the Max Lair where you and three others, AI or real people online, navigate your way through a handful of opposing Dynamax Pokémon to reach a legendary Pokémon at the end. Some of these are the best Crown Tundra Pokémon you can get your hands on.

The catch? You dont use your own team. Instead, everyone uses a rented Pokémon to begin their adventure with. Once everyone has drafted a Pokémon from a limited selection, they will go through the dungeon. Nobody is stuck with the same choice throughout, as you have the option to catch every Dynamax encounter you face.

The Dynamax Adventures also happen to be the activity with the best shiny Pokémon odds, though the time it takes to finish a Max Lair challenge may make it somewhat inefficient. Still, its the only place to catch shiny forms of many legendary Pokémon, and it is also where you can get the Ability Patch item. They can make your head spin, but dont worry, weve got you covered. Heres everything you need to know about Dynamax Adventures and how to get those lovely shinies.

The Best Moveset For Rayquaza In Pokemon Emerald

The mascot of Pokemon Emerald, Rayquaza, can arguably become better than the other cover legendaries in Generation III with the appropriate moves.

According to lore, Raquaza was made to be more powerful than Kyogre and Groudon. Statistically speaking, that is very accurate. Rayquaza has the Attack stat of Groudon, the Special Attack stat of Kyogre , and has the same amount of Speed. It basically takes what is good about both Pokemon and combines them into one monstrous machine. Rayquaza will decimate teams with this moveset.
