Which Legendary Pokemon Are Currently Available To Catch
During the month of January 2022, Trainers will be able to encounter Kyurem, Heatran, Genesect , and Regice on various dates.
Niantic regularly rotates the Legendaries that appear in 5-Star Raid Battles, so the best way to keep up to date with whats available to catch is to check our Raid Boss guide, which is updated each month.
There will usually only be one Legendary available to catch at a time, although this sometimes changes if theres a special event. During Pokemon Go Fest 2021, for example, every single Legendary showed up!

How Many Trainers Are Needed
Note that Rayquaza is double-weak to Ice-Type moves due to its dual typing of Dragon and Flying. Utilizing this weakness will take this heavy hitter down quicker so that players can do more raids and have a better chance of acquiring the Shiny. Like Kyurem before it, in certain cases, elements such as weather boost and best friend bonus, two-level 40 trainers with the top counters will be able to defeat Rayquaza. It is recommended that at least three trainers team up to take on the dragon in any other circumstance. If trainers are not able to guarantee the use of the top counters, four to five level 35+ trainers should be able to defeat Rayquaza with little issue.

Shiny Hunting In Max Lair
The final method for finding a Shiny Legendary in Pokémon Sword and Shields Crown Tundra DLC is the one youll likely spend the most time on, and can be one of the most efficient Shiny Hunting methods the game has ever given us.
When you run through a Max Lair, its important to remember that the Pokémon you encounter and catch will not appear to be shiny until the adventure is over and the game lets you pick one to keep. At the end of the Max Lair youll be allowed to choose one Pokémon to keep.
If you had a successful run, captured three normal Pokémon throughout and captured the Legendary Pokémon, youll have four to choose from. This is a key moment, because youll need to look closely to see if any of the ones you caught are in their Shiny Form.
This is fairly obvious for some Pokémon, but more difficult to discern with the naked eye for others. To be sure, you can check the summary of the Pokémon and look for the red stars on the left that indicate it is a Shiny Pokémon.
Your odds are pretty good when doing a Max Lair, as youll have a 1 in 100 chance of each Pokémon you catch being in its Shiny Form. That gives you a decent 1% chance of catching a Shiny Legendary, and three more chances with the same odds of catching a regular Shiny Pokémon.
Make sure you keep something else that was caught, or nothing, so that youll have the chance to go after it again. After the Max Lair is over, youll be given the option to jot down where to find that Pokémon for next time.

Five Great Counters For Rayquaza In Pokemon Go Raids
- Galarian Darmanitan with Ice Fang and Avalanche
- Mamoswine with Powder Snow and Avalanche
- Kyurem with Dragon Tail and Blizzard
- Glaceon with Frost Breath and Avalanche
- Weavile with Ice Shard and Avalanche
In general, Pokemon GO players can pick any Pokemon with some good CP and Ice-type movesets. The type of Pokemon won’t matter as much as the moves that it has equipped.
Can You Get Shiny Rayquaza In Emerald
You just exit the room that Rayquaza was in, reenter, and the Rayquaza will be back! You encounter it again, and repeat this process until you get your shiny! Since your game isnt being shut off, your chances of finding a shiny frame and your shiny Rayquaza are the exact same chances of any other game, 1/8192.

The Best Moveset For Rayquaza In Pokemon Emerald
The mascot of Pokemon Emerald, Rayquaza, can arguably become better than the other cover legendaries in Generation III with the appropriate moves.
According to lore, Raquaza was made to be more powerful than Kyogre and Groudon. Statistically speaking, that is very accurate. Rayquaza has the Attack stat of Groudon, the Special Attack stat of Kyogre , and has the same amount of Speed. It basically takes what is good about both Pokemon and combines them into one monstrous machine. Rayquaza will decimate teams with this moveset.

Best move set: Dragon Tail/Outrage
Rayquaza has access to all of the following moves:
- Dragon Tail Dragon
- Outrage Dragon
- Aerial Ace Flying
- Ancient Power Rock
Of all of Rayquazas available moves, we will take into consideration his best possible moveset, which would be:
- Dragon Tail Dragon Causing a TDMG of 166.66 throughout a complete energy cycle
- Outrage Dragon Causing a TDMG of 220 throughout a complete energy cycle.
Not only does he have the bestDragontype moveset in game, but by benefiting from STAB, and a high Attack stat, it is no wonder why Rayquaza is truly a powerhouse when it comes to attacking.

Best Pokmon To Counter Rayquaza
There are several Pokémon to choose from to bring out while fighting Rayquaza, but your best choices include Galarian Darmanitan, Mamoswin, and Weavile.
Galarian Darmanitan is a newer Pokémon, and its the Ice-type version of the regular Darmanitan. It has a max CP of 3,105, an attack of 263, a defense of 114, and a stamina of 233. It has extremely weak defenses, meaning you want to primarily focus on this Pokémon to be your attack, and you maybe only want to use one or two of them in your roster to fight Rayquaza. The best moves on it include ice fang and avalanche.
The next choice is Mamoswine, an Ice and Ground-type Pokémon. Before Galarian Darmantain, it was an Ice-type powerhouse and was the strongest Ice-type attacker Pokémon, which means it still packs a punch against anything weak to it. It has a max CP of 3,328, an attack of 247, a defense of 146, and a stamina of 242. You want yours to know powder snow and avalanche.
The final best option includes Weavile, a Dark and Ice-type Pokémon. It has a max CP of 3,005, an attack of 243, a defense of 171, and a stamina of 172. It has several more weaknesses than the others on this list, but Weavile has plenty of attack power behind it to give Rayquaza plenty of trouble. The best moves to use on it include ice shard and avalanche.
How To Get Legendary Dogs/ Birds
Once you have Registeel, Regirock, & Regice, go back to the Grand Underground and search for 1xMysterious Shard L or 3xMysterious Shard S. Then go back to Ramanas Park and purchase Kanto Slate. Now go through the door on the other side of the room and enter the Kanto room in Ramanas Park. Place the slate on the pedestal in the Kanto Room as shown in the picture below. This will make Legendary Dog/ Bird appear depending on the game version you have. Keep repeating the process again to get the remaining two Pokemon.

How To Catch Calyrex In The Crown Tundra

- End of the event on March 18, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. PST .

Dynamax Adventures Shiny Pokmon
Ok, so heres probably what youre here for: how to get shiny Pokémon in Max Lairs. Thanks to YouTuber AustinJohnPlays, we now know that the shiny odds for any individual Pokémon is 1 in 300 encounters. If you have the Shiny Charm item, obtained for completing the original Pokémon Sword and Shield Pokédex these odds increase to 1 in 100 encounters.
To stand the best chance of catching a shiny Pokémon, make sure you catch every single Dynamax Pokémon you encounter. When you finish your run, you are given the opportunity to keep any of the Pokémon you caught during your run. You dont have to switch them in to replace your current Pokémon either, just catch them. Since there is a 100% catch rate for any Pokémon in the Max Lair, you can just stock up on regular Pokéballs and use those.
You will only know if a Pokémon is shiny at the end of your Dynamax Adventure run. The Pokémon will never appear as a shiny in the actual battles, but will appear as a shiny sprite on the final screen at the end of a Dynamax Adventure.
You can use this to shiny hunt legendary Pokémon, and you can always go through the set route to re-encounter them if theyre not shiny, provided you didnt pick it of course.

Dragon Tail + Outrage And Aerial Ace
Dragon Tail is slightly superior to Air Slash in terms of energy gain, but more importantly in the formats where Rayquaza can compete in, Dragon-type coverage is valuable against other Dragon Pokemon, as well as its relatively neutral coverage overall.
Outrage demands quite a lot of energy to use, but it’s also the most powerful charge move available. Aerial Ace is recommended for its lesser energy cost, though it’s not very powerful, even with STAB. Ancient Power offers very poor damage output, and the 10% chance to proc its self-buff is not reliable enough to justify its use.

Place them in your active party, along with Pokemon who can Dig, Surf and Dive. Fly to Pacifidlog Town and head west through the fast currents. Stay close to the southern line of rocks that border the route. With enough luck you should reach a small calm spot in the currents where you can Dive. Do so and follow the chasm down.
