What Is A Shiny Pokmon

THE BEST WAY TO FIND SHINY POKÉMON IN POKÉMON GO

A Shiny Pokémon is an incredibly rare version of a normal Pokémon with a special coloration. For example, a Shiny Gyarados is a deep red as oppose to its traditional blue colour.

The different colours aren’t always so pronounced though, and sometimes the differences can be as small as different eye colours. It really depends on the Pokémon.

Aside from this unique appearance, there’s nothing special about a Shiny Pokémon. Statistically they’re the same, and have no advantages in combat or anything like that.

Pokemon Go Shinies: How To Get Shiny Pokemon And Other Advice

Okay, so, you want Shiny Pokemon. Well… keep in mind, it’s difficult. Shiny Pokemon are supposed to be rare, and so that means that they’re extraordinarily difficult to find. If you’ve been trying to track down a rare Pokemon in the wild such as a Ditto, imagine that spawn rate but drastically reduced.

Typically, Pokemon Go shiny Pokemon come to you through one of a few different ways:

  • In the Wild: Some shiny Pokemon appear in the wild, and any time you encounter a wild Pokemon of that type there is a tiny, tiny chance that Pokemon could come out as a shiny.
  • At Gym Raids: Other shinies are only found during Pokemon Go Raids – so when you win a raid encounter at a gym, there’s a chance the Pokemon you’ll be able to catch afterwards could be shiny.
  • From Eggs: Some shiny Pokemon are exclusive to eggs – so you might get lucky when you hatch a Pokemon egg.
  • From Community Days: The monthly Pokemon Go Community days always offer up a limited number of increased spawns for the chosen Pokemon – and that usually includes a bonus to the shiny spawn rate.
  • From Field Research:Pokemon Go’s Field Research system often offers encounters as a reward – and some of those encounters have a chance to be shiny.

Catching shiny Pokemon in the wild is hugely rare, and there’s no real way to game that. With that said, there’s some additional tips you should be aware of when considering how to catch shinies:

How Can I Make It More Likely I’ll Find Shiny Pokmon

[Guide] Complete Pokemon Go Shiny List & How to Find and ...

Shiny Pokémon are exceedingly rare but in Pokémon Let’s Go! you can increase your odds of encountering them fairly easily. Normally, the chances of seeing a shiny Pokémon are about 1 in 4096 – so, fairly rare.

The easiest way to increase your chances of finding a shiny Pokémon is to use a Lure. Using a Lure will double your odds for the duration of the Lure’s use.

The second way to increase your odds is to increase your Catch Combo. If you’ve played for a bit already, you’ve likely already seen how Catch Combos, or catching the same Pokémon multiple times in a row, will increase the experience you get from captures. But as you raise that Catch Combo, you’ll also increase your chances of finding rare Pokémon. At a Catch Combo of 11, your shiny rate goes up for the specific species of Pokémon you’re catching. After 21, it’s even higher, and it maxes out at 31. You can combine those combos with a Lure to further increase your chances of seeing a shiny Pokémon.

The last way to increase your odds is to acquire a Shiny Charm from Celadon City. You can only get this rare item once you’ve completed the entire Pokédex, though, so if you’re still far off don’t sweat it too much. The Shiny Charm on its own will increase your odds considerably and again can be compounded with Lures and Catch Combos.

How Can You Catch A Shiny Vulpix In Pokmon Go

Though you may have missed the 2020 Autumn Event, it doesnt mean that there wont be other events that will also increase Vulpixs spawn rate in the wild. Each event increases the spawn rate of many Pokémon.

If there isnt an on-going event, youll still be able to find a Shiny Vulpix, only with lower odds. You can continue to play the game like you usually do while ensuring you capture every Vulpix that appears in the wild.

Searching for Vulpix nests in your area can be a decent idea if youre looking to capture that Shiny Vulpix as soon as possible. If there doesnt seem to be any data around where you live, you may want to visit parts of your city that could be housing more Vulpix.

Vulpix has a higher spawn rate in cities, residential areas, and beaches. Dropping a lure around a Pokéstop thats close to one of these landmarks might be a beneficial strategy to farm experience while youre after your Shiny Vulpix.

A Shiny Vulpix will look noticeably different than a regular one, featuring more vibrant colors alongside a slightly different color palette. If you notice that one odd-looking Vulpix, make sure to prepare your best fruits and Poké Balls to bring it home.

New World: Helpful Tips For Better Play

There is some debate over whether or not raids with Pokémon that spawn normally feature a higher Shiny rate or not. However, it’s clearly well established that raid exclusive Pokémon and Legendary raids do feature a higher Shiny rate. Some raids feature a Shiny rate as high as 10% such as the special event for Zapdos! However, other raids are much lower, although not nearly as low as an encounter in the wild. One thing to take note of is that many raids do not feature a Pokémon with a Shiny variant. In most situations, Niantic will introduce Shiny variants of raid exclusives much later such as what they did with Lugia, Ho-Oh, Kyogre, and others.

It is only upon defeating a Glaceon that a player has a chance to encounter the Shiny form of the Pokemon.

Are Shiny Pokmon Shiny For Everyone In Pokmon Go

No. With Ditto, once a Pokémon is determined to be Ditto, the servers make it Ditto for everyone. With Shiny Pokémon, it’s done on a player-by-player basis.

That means you and a friend can both catch the same Magikarp, yours could turn out to be Shiny, and theirs not.

There has been one exception so far: For the July 2018 Community Day, Pokémon Go had Sunglasses Squirtle available through Field Research and, tasks that had a Shiny Sunglasses Squritle were Shiny for everyone!

Shiny Pokemon: What You Should Know

While the process for obtaining Shinies is rather straightforward, there are a few details you should know about Shiny Pokemon and how they work in Pokemon GO.

  • Shiny Pokemon Evolve into Shiny Pokemon – A Shiny Pokemon will evolve into a Shiny version of their evolved form. A gold Shiny Magikarp will evolve into a Red Gyarados, a Shiny Duskull evolves into a Shiny Dusclops, and so on. Just be sure to stock up on the appropriate Candy if youre looking to evolve a specific Shiny in Pokemon GO.
  • Shiny Pokemon Are Distinct Individuals – Shiny Pokemon occur as individuals, which means what may be a Shiny for one player will likely be the standard version for another player. Two players can catch the same Pokemon in the same location, yet only one of them may be Shiny. If your friend caught a Shiny at a particular place, dont expect to have the same luck if you go there. This prevents players from essentially farming a single location for Shinies, which is a good thing.
  • A Shiny Pokemon May Be Regular Ditto in Disguise – Niantic decided to be a bit cruel when implementing Ditto in that Ditto can pretend to be a Shiny Pokemon without actually being Shiny itself. Having your newly captured Shiny transform into a regular Ditto can be disheartening to say the least, but perhaps Ditto will eventually get the Shiny treatment in Pokemon GO so that this no longer happens.

What Are Shiny Pokmon

Pokémon Go Shinies

Shiny Pokémon are Pokémon that have a slightly different coloration than normal Pokémon. For example, a Ponyta with a blue mane instead of a red one. Sometimes shiny Pokémon only differ slightly from their normal counterparts. Other times, they are extremely different. Every Pokémon has a normal coloration and one shiny coloration that can be found rarely. These Pokémon will also have a “sparkle” animation go off whenever they appear in battle to indicate their shiny status.

Other than their color, shiny Pokémon do not differ in any way from normal Pokémon. They are not guaranteed to have better stats or be stronger, and there is nothing unique about their movesets. They’re just rare, pretty Pokémon that are a pleasant surprise to encounter!

HOW TO GET A SHINY POKEMON IN POKEMON GO!!! (TOP 7 WAYS TO GET A SHINY)

We updated out list with the latest Pokémon Go Shinnies!

In Pokémon Go, shiny hunting can often feel like a futile endeavour with endless encounters and bad luck, as when seen in the wild shiny Pokémon look just like any other common monster this is where our guide comes in handy. Just like in the mainline series, shiny Pokémon are exceptionally rare, but that is what makes them an important status symbol for any long-time Pokémon Go player.

In simple terms, each Pokémon Go shiny is a colour variant and nothing more. Some Pokémon have shiny forms almost indistinguishable from their standard styles, such as Pikachu, and Gastly, which both look like dimmed down versions of their standard forms. Others are on the complete opposite side of the spectrum, with the traditionally pink Lickitung having a golden shiny variant.

Shiny Pokémon did not feature in the initial release of Pokémon Go. They made their debut in March 2017 with the surprise release of shiny Magikarp, which can evolve into the powerful shiny red Gyarados, who looks very impressive when battling other trainers. This guide will explain how to find Shiny Pokemon in Pokemon GO and what you should know about these elusive Pokemon.

Shiny Pokemon were added to Pokemon GO back in March, with the golden Shiny Magikarp and its evolution, Red Gyarados, among the first to get the shiny treatment. Shiny Pichu, Pikachu, and Raichu would be added shortly after, but it wasnt until the Halloween event that Pokemon GO players would see a huge influx of Shinies arrive in the game. These included Shiny Shuppet, Banette, Sableye, Duskull, and Dusclops, which were also the first Gen 3 Pokemon added to Pokemon Go.

What To Know About Shiny Hunting

First and foremost as a disclaimer, the process of finding a shiny, at its core, is completely random no matter what process you use. There is, of course, a slight exception to this during a pokemons Community Day event when the rates of finding the feature pokemons shiny are boosted. However, thats still not a guarantee of seeing one.

Before getting your heart set on any version of a shiny, its best to double-check that pokemons shiny version is available in the game. Certain ones are not in Pokemon Go, so you want to look that up before wasting hours trying to get something that doesnt exist in the game.
