Pokemon Sword And Shield Battle Tower Rewards

There is a wide range of rewards on offer at the Sword and Shield Battle Tower. The aforementioned Bottle Caps are an important item to focus on if you want to build a team that is competitive-ready, but you can also get valuable held items like the Choice Scarf, the Focus Sash, Leftovers, and many more. On top of this, you can spend your BP on special mints that change the nature of your Pokemon. For example, a Gyarados with a nature that favours Special Attack over Attack isnt ordinarily ideal. If you feed it the right mint, you can correct its nature and ensure that it prioritizes Attack at the expense of Special Attack, converting it into the physical sweeper it was always supposed to be.

Aside from Mints, heres a list of items that you should really focus on getting. They work well with almost any team composition and are incredibly valuable to have in your possession. You can buy them at the shop in the Battle Tower itself.

Choice Band 25 BPPower Herb 15 BPLight Clay 15 BP

All of the above items have concrete importance in the competitive circuit and are tried-and-tested components of successful teams. Its important to note that you can also use BP to purchase items in the Hammerlocke Pokemon Centre, which has unique evolution items. However, you can find the majority of these in the Wild Area, and even get some from the Digging Duo. As a result, its frankly a waste of hard-earned BP in most cases.

How to Get Master Balls in Pokemon Sword and Shield

If youre serious about making a team, you can work with most decent Pokemon. Its very obvious that a Grookey isnt going to be quite as effective as a Rillaboom .

Its a good rule of thumb to prioritize synergy. This is twofold: in some cases, you might decide to make a weather team. A rain team will have a lot of Water Pokemon, which naturally means youll have a massive grass and electric weakness. However, there are ways around this: dual-type Pokemon can resist things they would usually be weak against – consider Pelipper, who is a Water-type but is also half-Flying, meaning that Grass isnt super-effective against it. Also, a rain team can have non-Water benefits, too. For example, Thunder has 100% accuracy in rain, meaning that a strong Electric-type is an absolute must for a rain team.

If youre not going for weather control then youll want to focus on type coverage. Theres a reason the Champion in most Pokemon games doesnt have a type-oriented Gym Leaders team. Theyre well-balanced – if you have a Gengar, youll likely want to steer clear of Ghost-types for your remaining five slots. This is so you dont have massive weaknesses that can be exploited by a single Pokemon. If you realize too late that four of your six Pokemon are part-Fire, you wont be able to do anything about the opposing Gyarados thats sweeping your entire team.

Getting More Master Balls Through Loto Id

As well as the two above, you have a chance to get more Master Balls – and in theory, an unlimited number of Master Balls – through Loto ID.

Loto ID is pretty simple – it’s a Lottery based on Trainer IDs. There are five different prizes – with the prize you get based on how many characters of the ID number you match. The prizes scale as follows:

  • 1 Number: Moomoo Milk
  • 4 Numbers: Rare Candy
  • 5 Numbers: 1 Master Ball

As you can see, the top tier of Loto ID prize, earned for matching 5 digits, is a Master Ball. Match 5 digits, and get a Master Ball! You can participate in Loto ID once a day from the PC inside any Pokemon Center – so that’s 365 chances a year!

While the odds of having a 5-number Loto ID draw are vanishingly small, you can increase your odds slightly.

Your Loto ID draw is checked not just against your personal trainer ID, but against all Pokemon in your party and boxes. When a Pokemon is caught, the ID number of the trainer who caught it is attached to that Pokemon.

What that means is that by trading for lots of Pokemon, you’ll rack up a lot of Pokemon with different Trainer IDs – which then increases the odds of you getting a match in the Loto ID feature.

What Is The Loto

Introduced in Pokémon Gold and Silver, the Loto-ID is a free lottery feature in most Pokémon games. While it has changed a little over the generations, Sword and Shield haven’t changed it much. Once per day, you can participate for free. The game will generate a string of numbers and then match those numbers against the ID numbers of all your Pokémon. If even one digit matches one of your existing Pokémon, you win a prize the more digits that match, the better the prize. You’ll almost always win something, so it’s definitely worth playing.

An Extra Master Ball In The Crown Tundra Dlc

First of all, if you have the Crown Tundra DLC, which comes as part of the Sword & Shield expansion pass, you’ll actually be handed another Master Ball by Peony as part of that DLC’s story.

This is a rare occasion in Pokemon where you’re actually given two story Master Balls – it doesn’t happen very often at all! Like the main game’s story Master Ball, you’ll want to think carefully about how you spend this, and the pressure will be on to use it on Calyrex, The Crown Tundra’s flagship legendary.

It makes perfect sense for The Crown Tundra DLC, however – as much of that DLC is based around catching Legendary Pokemon, including finding classic legendary Pokemon in Dens, and new Galarian forms of Articuno, Zapdos and Moltres.

Pokmon Sword And Shield Has Released The Crown Tundra And With It Comes The Powerful Calyrex Heres Everything You Need To Catch It

Often referred to in The Crown Tundras story mode as The King of Bountiful Harvests, Calyrex is the primary legendary in The Crown Tundra. The core story revolves around Calyrex, and finally culminates in an opportunity to battle and capture them.

If you head into that battle with a Master Ball, the catch shouldnt give you much trouble. However, many players will want to save that Master Ball for another time, in which case itll be a hard battle.

For most players who have had Pokémon Sword and Shield since before the release of The Crown Tundra DLC, youll likely be through the main story and past the Pokémon League. For newcomers or anyone starting a new game, heres exactly when youre able to catch Calyrex.

Alright. You might be pleased to know that you’re going to be given a Master Ball by Professor Magnolia once you’ve gunned through the game. This one is totally a free pass, and everyone will get it – you just have to be in your home after the credits roll. You’re probably going to want to use this on one of the Legendaries like Zacian or Zamazenta, but on the off chance that you totally miff this and you use it on a random Eevee or something, it’s not the absolute last chance for you to get one.

You can get more Master Balls in Pokemon Sword and Shield by playing the Loto-ID. This can be done in basically any Pokemon Centre, and the gist of it is that it functions like an actual lottery would in real life. To win big , you have to make sure that your Loto-ID guess matches all the numbers in the winning Loto-ID randomized by the game. There are five numbers in each Loto-ID, so it’s not the easiest thing to do, but if you get them all right then you’ll be the proud owner of yet another Master Ball.

If you don’t fancy yourself that lucky, though, you can artificially boost your chances with the Loto-ID, well, lottery by engaging in more Surprise Trades. Bonding with Trainers that you don’t know will give you better odds, so that’s another thing that you can do if you’re coming up short.

How to Get Unlimited Master Balls & X-Mas Trading in Pokemon Sword and Shield

This guide will teach trainers how to obtain an infinite amount of Master Balls without hacks or cheats in Pokemon Sword and Shield

The main means of which a trainer catches Pokemon in Pokemon Sword and Shield is through the use of a Pokeball. Pokeballs come in various forms each with their special abilities, but the best and most sought after Pokeball is the Master Ball. The Master Ball has a 100% catch rate of any Pokemon it is used on, which makes it the best Pokeball to use in situations where a Pokemon is incredibly hard to catch.

Pokemon Sword and Shield breaks that tradition by allowing players one chance per day to obtain additional Master Balls at very low odds through the Loto ID function. While the initial odds are low, this guide will help players drastically improve their odds of receiving infinite Master Balls from Loto-ID.

    Preparing To Catch Calyrex

As mentioned before, the game wont let you catch Calyrex until youve defeated the Champion. That means youll have to complete the main story and the Pokémon League before even attempting to take on Calyrex.

The good thing about that is youre more likely to be closer to fully prepared. When you battle Calyrex, itll be Level 80 and extremely powerful.

Youll want to head in with a team of Pokémon that are at least Level 80, but chances are even a Level 100 team is going to have a challenge against the monstrously strong Ice Rider Calyrex or Shadow Rider Calyrex.

Youll want to stock up on Ultra Balls and Timer Balls. Ultra Balls can be bought just about anywhere, while Timer Balls are most easily purchased in bulk at the Hammerlocke Pokémon Center.

Also be sure to stock up on supplies, mainly healing potions and Revives. Calyrex is probably going to faint some of your Pokémon during the battle, and you want to have the option to bring them back.

No matter which form you face, youll want to bring a fully prepared and outfitted Gallade to the fight in order to increase your odds and reduce the risk of fainting Calyrex by accident. You can follow our guide to catch and prepare a Gallade, if you dont already have one.

The other Pokémon you bring are less important, but ideally youll want them to be sturdy. This way they can take a few hits if you need to heal up Gallade to send it back out into battle.

So, first of all, the easiest Master Ball to obtain is the one that you’re pretty much guaranteed: as you work your way through the game, Professor Magnolia will eventually hand you a Master Ball as part of the ongoing story.

Where To Find More Master Balls In Pokemon: Let’s Go Pikachu And Eevee

    I CAN

Getting more Master Balls in Pokemon: Let’s Go isn’t exactly easy. And, as far as we can tell, there’s only one place where extra Master Balls can be found. To track down more Master Balls, players will need to have already defeated the Elite Four in order to gain access to the Cerulean Cave. If this location seems familiar, that’s because it’s the place where trainers can track down the Legendary Pokemon Mewtwo.

Head over to the Cerulean Cave and make your way up to the second floor. Once arrived, look around for the small patches of light. Each of these locations offers up free items, usually in the form of different Berries, Candies, and perhaps even fossils or Pokeballs. It’s only in these spots, and only in rare instances, where players have a chance of finding an additional Master Ball.

The chances of finding a Master Ball are very slim, but as far as we can tell, there’s no technical limit on how many Master Balls can be obtained. It’s just that they’re exceedingly rare, and we haven’t yet been able to push the limit to see how many can be found, or even figure out if having one in the inventory prevents more Master Balls from spawning.
