Can Pokebank Detect Hacked Pokemon

The only way to tell if a Pokémon is hacked is to detect that it has data in it that it would not normally have been able to obtain. So, to answer your question: if they put a decent legality checker into Pokémon Bank, then you will still be able to transfer a hacked Pokémon, as long as you hack it well.

How To Tell If Pokemon Are Hacked Or Not

How to Tell if a Pokemon is Hacked?

So you just got a legendary pokemon, a shiny pokemon, or a pokemon you’ve been looking for from a giveaway, a surprise trade, or from a random person in link trade. And you wonder if it’s a hacked pokemon so you do not get banned. Don’t worry, I will teach you how to tell if something is a hacked not legit pokemon or not. Before we get started be sure to spread this blog and website to others so others will be informed about these things. So let’s go ahead and get started.

So The first way to fully tell is by looking at who was the original trainer of the pokemon, and how did they get it. It’s kind of a red flag if the original owner’s name is weird or bred in a nursery. So first it’s best to check its IVs. You will be able to do this once you battle and beat Leon in a battle in the battle tower. Which is kinda easy. So you should just be able to check it by press the plus button or press the judge. If ALL of the stats say “Best” Then that’s the first red flag.

The next thing to look at is the moves. This one might be a little difficult for some people if you don’t know the PP for a move. If it’s maxed out then it is probably hacked. Like sometimes people just like for their competitive pokemon’s best moves to be maxed out which is understandable. But if ALL of them is maxed out. Then that’s a red flag.

The Pokmon Is Too Good To Be True

Hackers know how to make Pokémon appear legitimate, and it will generally be difficult to tell if it isnt. A huge telltale sign is if one seems too good to be true. A legitimate player is not likely to send out something valuable in a surprise trade when they could save it for themselves or use it to gain value in a trade.

Hackers tend to create shiny Pokémon, Pokémon with Pokérus, and level 100s with six perfect IVs and competitive movesets. Receiving any of these in a surprise trade probably means that it is hacked.

On the other hand, any Pokémon that is level one was likely bred and traded away. These are generally legitimate even if they have great IVs or egg moves. Unless it is shiny or has Pokérus, it should be safe to use or breed.

  • 1Make a small tear in it if you are certain it is a fake. Then take an old Pokémon card you dont use anymore and make a small rip in that. Compare the rate at which both ripped. If the fake one ripped faster, then its without a doubt a fake.
  • 2A quick way to test if your Pokémon card is real or fake is to take a close look at the edge of it. Real Pokémon cards have a very thin sheet of black between the cardboard. Its very thin, but up close it is easy to see the darkness between the two thin halves of the card. Fake cards do not have this.Advertisement

    • Energy cards are the hardest to tell if they are fake. Look closely at the symbols on the element sphere. Compare it to a card you know is real. If its any different, even if the difference is the length of one of the star points on the Double Colourless Energy Card, its fake for sure. Thanks!
    • On almost all Pokémon cards, the attacks dont exist, even if they are real cards so be aware of that.Thanks!Helpful113Not Helpful35

    Illegal Abilities Or Moves

Each Pokémon in Sword and Shield has a specific set of abilities and moves that they can learn. These moves are referred to as legal. If a Pokémon has a move or ability that it cannot learn naturally, it is hacked and cannot be used in competitive play.

An example of this would be if a Cinderace had the ability Sturdy or the move Hydro Pump. It cannot have this ability or learn this move, so the only way to get them would be through hacking. This is fairly rare, but its still worth looking out for.

A Japanese man has been arrested by authorities for allegedly generating and selling hacked critters from Nintendo Switch release Pokémon Sword & Shield. The 23-year-old was apprehended in Nagoya City, Aichi Prefecture after being caught allegedly selling a hacked Sobble.

The suspect is accused of having used a jailbroken Nintendo Switch console to run a service online in which they would create hacked Pokémon to order, with each critter retailing for around ¥500, with a commission fee of up to ¥800 should an individual order six Pokémon or more. It is alleged that the man has made somewhere in the region of ¥1.15 million since Pokémon Sword & Shields release in November 2019.

The arrest comes shortly after Nintendo Japans January statement where the publisher announced its intention to come down hard on players who utilize titles such as Pokémon Sword & Shield, Pokémon GO, and the Pokémon Home service for nefarious or criminal purposes, banning accounts, restricting access to the service or, in this case, sending in Five-O.

We have confirmed that some users are playing Pokémon Sword & Shield and Pokémon Home using illegally modified data, said Nintendo. We will regularly monitor and respond to fraudulent and annoying acts so that our users can enjoy themselves with peace of mind. We look forward to your continued support of the Pokémon series.

The Pokemon Is Too Good To Be True

If you trade and get a pokemon that is too good to be true, it is probably hacked. Most players arent going to trade away a valuable pokemon unless they are getting something good in exchange. If someone is trading you something that you are surprised to get, there is a good chance that it is hacked.

In addition, hackers like to create shiny pokemon and Pokemon with Pokerus. They will also make level 100s with competitive movesets and six perfect IVs. If you receive any of these kinds of pokemon in a trade, you can safely bet that it is hacked.

That said, most level one pokemon are bred and traded, and a level one could be legitimate even if it has egg moves or good IVs. As long as it isnt shiny and doesnt have Pokerus, it has a good chance of being legitimate and you can use it or breed it.

How To Spot A Hacked Pokemon

How to tell if a Pokemon is HACKED in Pokemon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon!

This is just a quick blog to make a run down of what could be considered hacked or too good to be true!

Disclaimer: Im not an expert in this, but from my experiences of seeing hacked Pokemon I do have some knowledge of what to look out for!

The main reason Im writing it that Ive been seeing these sorts of Pokemon being offered in trades, and I think ppl should be aware of the situation first hand!!

This blog explains that having these sorts of Pokemon can hurt your game, whether its by crashing your game or ruin your online experiences.

Now be aware as there is no guarantee way of finding out for sure, but there can be a few indicators that can help you to know!

Being Shiny / Having 6 IVs!

IVs are shown on how strong a Pokemon can be! Its usually indicated by clicking + on the pokemon and it would tell you if its ok, decent, great, etc etc, being the best stat is called, well best.

Now having regular Pokemon with 6iv is one thing but a shiny Pokemon with the perfect nature, 6iv and hidden ability, its almost too good to be true. Even a 5iv missing the attack or special they dont need can be questionable, because the odds of getting a shiny Pokemon with the right/perfect IVs are low .

If there is a legendary or mythical Pokemon you got that has all six of its stats being considered best, then its 6 IVs, and therefore may be considered hacked!

    Illegal moves, genders, nicknames, etc.
