Logan Paul Spends $35 Million On Pokmon Cards That Could Be Fakeyour Browser Indicates If You’ve Visited This Link

*OLDEST PACK EVER MADE?!* Vintage Pokemon Cards Opening!

YouTube personality Logan Paul bought several first edition Pokémoncards for $3.5 million, but experts don’t believe these cards are authentic. On Dec. 20, 2021, Paul stated that he was the proud owner of several ludicrously rare booster boxes containing first edition Pokémon trading cards.

Is Gx Or Vmax Better

One of my biggest complaints about the current Tag Team GX cards is that they have incredibly high HP and attack numbers on Basic Pokémon. While stronger than Pokémon V, most of the Pokémon VMAX hit for numbers that still fall into the two-hit KO area on both current Tag Team GX and the new Pokémon V.

Japanese Pokmon Heartgold And Soulsilver Sets

When the Heartgold and Soulsilver Pokémon trading card lineup was released in Japan, it was done differently from in America. It also had an abnormally long waiting period in between the first and second sets.

Heartgold and Soulsilver Collection

Heartgold and Soulsilver Collection is the first Japanese set based on the Heartgold and Soulsilver games. It has 140 cards in total, including the following special cards: Alph Lithograph, Ursaring Prime, Crobat Prime, Typhlosion Prime, Meganium Prime, Blissey Prime, Donphan Prime, Ampharos Prime, Feraligatr Prime, Lugia LEGEND, and Ho-Oh LEGEND. Starting from this set, the Trainer cards in Japan have been renamed Goods cards. It has been renamed in America as HeartGold SoulSilver, or HS.

Heartgold and Soulsilver special decks

The Heartgold and Soulsilver special decks were released in between the releases of the first and second Heartgold and Soulsilver sets. Expert Deck: Leafeon vs. Metagross is a set of two 60-card decks with a CD for online play. In addition to being more powerful than most theme decks, the Leafeon and Metagross decks have special cards that weren’t released in any other Japanese sets. There are also Battle Starter decks, which were released with special cards only available to their specific deck. The decks are named Offense , Defense , Speed , and Skill .

Black Star Ishihara Signed Gx Promo Card

A card featuring the Pokémon Company’s President himself.

Sold for $247,230 in April 2021

The most recent card to make headlines for pure value, this card sold for nearly a quarter of a million dollars at auction on April 26th 2021. You can find the full details at our story here, but this card depicts Pokémon Company founder and current president Tsunekazu Ishihara, and was given to the company staff as a celebration of the man’s 60th birthday in 2017.

That makes the card rare, but this specific version is even rarer, as Ishihara actually signed this near-mint card to boost its price even further. The “2017 P.M. SM Black Star #TPCi01 Tsunekazu Ishihara Signed Pokémon GX Promo Card”, to use its full title, is a testament to the raw power apparently held by the Pokémon president. The ability “Red Chanchanko” is in reference to the red vest traditionally worn on 60th birthdays in Japan, and prevents the effect of any attack, ability or trainer card against Ishihara. Meanwhile, its GX move “60 Congratulations”, tells you to flip 60 coins, and take a present for each one. A truly legendary card.

Holographic Shadowless Blastoise: $2475

My Oldest Pokemon Card: Articuno from Fossil

Out of the three final-evolution Kanto starters, it’s Blastoise who has the least valuable Shadowless holographic card, reaching heights of $2475 on Pokemon Prices. We say “least valuable”, but that’s still a lot of money for just the one card, and its hardly far behind its sibling Venusaur.

That’s if Blastoise is still in mint condition, of course, which is a big ask considering these cards are over 20 years old. Carrying the powerful Water-type move Hydro Pump, this version of Blastoise was a pretty impressive card to carry in your deck back in the day, but at this point its still a solid collectible card.

What Is A Graded Card And What Is Grading

A graded card is a card that has been sent to a grading company, assigned a grade and sealed in a tamper-resistant plastic case. The grade reflects how good of a condition the card is in. Below is a picture of a perfect Charizard card graded a 10 by PSA.

Most grading companies usually grade cards from 1 to 10. A 1 meaning it is in very poor condition and a 10 being absolutely perfect.

Getting a card graded a 10 is notoriously hard to do. Just because you pull a card directly from a pristine booster pack, handle it gently, sleeve and protect it right away, pack it very well and with extreme care… doesn’t mean it will be a grade 10.

Cards often come straight from the factory with minor imperfections that cause their grades to be less than 10.

Some more things to note about grading:

  • The most popular and widely trusted grading companies today are Professional Sports Authenticator and Beckett . Keep in mind this may change in the future.
  • Cards graded 9 or 10 are almost always worth more than ungraded cards in any condition.
  • There is a huge difference in market value of a grade 9 vs a grade 10. Grade 10 cards often sell for 2â10 times more than grade 9s.

Pokmon Sword & Shield

Coming in at number four is Pokémon Sword & Shield for the Nintendo Switch.

Sword and Shield were developed by Game Freak and published by The Pokemon Company and Nintendo.

They were officially released for the Nintendo Switch in November 2019, and are the first instalments in the eighth generation of Pokémon video games.

Similar to all previous Pokémon games on the list, Sword & Sheild follows a young trainer on his journey through the new Galar region, which is based on the United Kingdom. The trainers main objective is to defeat Leon, the Pokémon Champion, in a large Pokémon tournament, whilst also dealing with Team Yell.

81 new Pokémon have been introduced in Sword & Sheild as well as thirteen regional variants of some pre-existing Pokémon.

Sword & Shield became the fastest-selling game on the Nintendo Switch, selling more than sixteen million copies worldwide by the end of 2019!

Johtos Heart And Soul

*OPENING THE OLDEST POKEMON BOOSTER* ($6000 Charizard Card!!!)

Ever since the Generation III remakes for the incompatible Generation IRed and Green games, Pokémon fans have widely speculated that remakes of the Generation II Pokémon games, Gold and Silver, would be made for Nintendo DS. Indeed, the paired remakes, titled HeartGold and SoulSilver, were eventually released in Japan on September 12, 2009, and were released in the United States on March 14, 2010. The games were referred to in the anime in an episode that featured the counterpart of the new player character and the three starter Pokémon of Johto, one of whom even joined the regular cast. A new expansion set for the TCG was also released to celebrate the new games.

Some manga series followed the release of the games, such as a new sequel to Pokémon Pocket Monsters, titled Pocket Monsters HGSS, of which the first volume was released in June 28, 2011. A new chapter of Pokémon Adventures was released, with the first volume coming out in June 28, 2012.

A new game for the Wii: PokéPark Wii: Pikachus Adventure, was released on December 5, 2009. The game was released in North America and Europe in the spring of 2010.

Rarest Pokmon Cards In The World

| Entertainment

If you think youre a big deal because youre sitting on a first edition Charizard, think again. Its definitely up there as one of the more rare and sought after Pokemon cards, but when it comes to the rarest ones, its just the tip of the iceberg.

The original base set of Pokémon cards hit store shelves in the mid to late nineties, depending on where you live. Initially, the number of cards to collect was in the hundreds. Not only are there thousands of cards to collect now, but many of them are worth thousands of dollars.

When the Pokémon Trading Card Game originally launched, all you really needed was a paper route or allowance money to Catch em All. These days, anything short of a career in high finance or a law degree will probably mean youre eating instant noodles if you hope to complete that set.

Note: When we reference the PSA grade, thats a professional score based on the cards condition, with 10 being the best.

Charmander 1st Edition $330

Charmander’s value has been all over the place in the last 12 months. After the 2020 summer of record sale after record sale, baby Zard’s value has taken a dip recently, but don’t be surprised if Charmander rebounds due to the power Charizard yields on the market.

Torchic Gold Star Holo Team Rocket Returns

  • Release Date: 2004
  • Grading: PSA Gem Mint 10
  • Pokemon card value at auction: $25,400

In 2004, TPC introduced Gold Star Pokemon cards to drum up interest in the hobby again. The new line of collectibles had a low print-run, and made their debut alongside the criminally underrated Team Rocket Returns expansion.

Due to its insane popularity, Hoenn Fire-type starter Torchic instantly became one of the most rare Pokemon cards released that year. And whats not to love about it, its easily one of the most adorable artworks to ever grace a TCG release.

The specially marked collectible went up for auction in 2020 and sold for $25,400. That is a mind-blowing amount considering the same item was selling for around $300 in 2016, making the Pokemon cards value an 8,000% increase in just four years!

Tamamushi University Magikarp: $50000

Charizard 3/110 Legendary Set Collection Non Holo Pokemon ...

The Tamamushi University Magikarp card is so rare that despite the fact that it depicts a frankly awful Pokemon, it’s worth ridiculous sums of money. Why the high price? Well, the University Magikarp was a promotional card that saw very limited distribution at a Japanese tournament in the late 1990s.

RELATED: The Weakest Pokemon From Each Generation, Ranked

In total, 1000 of the cards were produced but far fewer were actually awarded and many were just stowed away forever. Barely any of these rare Magikarp cards are still in circulation today, and its incredibly rare to see new ones show up. At the moment, PSA Cards Price Guide chart lists perfectly-preserved cards to have sold for around $50,000, while copies with NM-MT 8 ratings still sell for amazing heights of $12,000.

Are Mcdonalds Pokmon Cards Fake

The McDonalds Pokemon cards are new, which means the market price isnt really set for them. There are 50 cards in total, 25 normal and 25 holographic cards based on McDonalds. Though they are all different in that they are associated with McDonalds, they are technically reprints of other cards.

First Edition Holographic Charizard

Estimated PSA 10 Gem Mint Value: $24,000

The #4 Charizard is by far the most desirable of all the first edition Pokémon cards.

Charizard made its first appearance in the Pokémon Red and Blue video games released for the Nintendo Game Boy and Game Boy Color back in the mid-90s and trainers have been relying on the character’s overpowering fire and flying abilities to win battles ever since.

Just how powerful are its fire abilities?

Well, simply refer to the bottom of the card’s front and you can see that Charizard is capable of melting boulders and starting forest fires with ease.

Charizard’s appeal as a dragon and one of the more rare cards certainly adds to its popularity but I think where this card gets an extra boost in value comes from the fact that Charizard appeared on the cover art of the Pokémon Red video game:

That additional exposure greatly increased the character’s notoriety and has driven up the value of this card similar to the effect we see with the Garbage Pail Kids card, Adam Bomb, and its status as the original cover art for that series.

Regardless of why this card is so popular, its value will continue to soar just like the lovable flying dragon creature itself.

Meet Up At The Pokmon House

Meet Up at the Pokémon House? , more commonly known as Pokénchi or Pokémon House , is the successor to Pokémon GETTV, which premiered on October 4, 2015. It is hosted by Shko Nakagawa, Otani Rinka, Hyadain, and Abareru-kun. Similar to its predecessors, it is a variety show featuring reruns of previous anime episodes and special live-action segments. It ran during Pokémon: XY, Pokémon: Sun & Moon and Pokémon: The New Series.

How Do You Tell The Rarity Of A Pokemon Card

A FAN SENT ME ONE OF THE RAREST AND OLDEST POKEMON CARDS IN THE WORLD!

This is represented by a symbol located in the bottom right corner of every card. There should be a shape that indicates what rarity the card is. Common cards are marked with a black circle, uncommon cards have a black diamond, and rare cards always have a black star. This is the basic way to tell the rarity of a card.

How Do You Not Bend Playing Cards

Avoid using rubber bands to hold your cards together or keeping them in a loose stack since you can easily deform them. Whenever youre done playing with your cards, put them back into the box they came in so they dont bend. Make sure the cards fit tightly in the box so they dont move around and damage the corners.

Pokemon First Edition Raichu

Sold in March, 2021 for $17,100

As Pokemon skyrocketed in popularity over the years, one character became almost synonymous with the franchise as its de facto mascot.

Much of Pikachus popularity originates from the first episode of the Pokemon anime series entitled Pokemon I Choose You! when the main protagonist of the series, Ash Ketchum, a trainer, receives Pikachu as his Pokemon from Professor Oak.

However, when exposed to a Thunderstone, the lovable, yellow, furry, rodent-like creature evolves into the final form of Raichu.

Raichu looks quite similar to Pikachu, but with a few distinct characteristics, namely its tail, ears, and dark coloration of the tip of its paws.

First Edition Holographic Blastoise

Estimated PSA 10 Gem Mint Value: $5,500

A water-type Pokémon, Blastoise first appears in the Pokémon Red and Blue video games as the final evolutionary stage of Squirtle, one of the original three starter Pokémon.

Relying on twin water cannons that retract from the shell on its back, Blastoise is capable of delivering powerful blasts of water with superior accuracy.

And just as we saw Charizard’s boost in popularity stemming from its appearance on the cover art of the Pokémon Red video game, Blastoise was the center of attention on the Pokémon Blue video game:

Rightfully considered one of the coolest-looking of all Pokémon, Blastoise remains a collector favorite and this card can bring thousands of dollars in high grade.

First Edition Holographic Nidoking

5 Rarest Pokemon Cards You May Have Collected

Estimated PSA 10 Gem Mint Value: $1,500

Nidoking is a dual-type poison and ground Pokémon that is the final evolved form of Nidoran.

With its sharp teeth, pointy ears, plated underside, claws and venomous horn that protrudes from its forehead, Nidoking is obviously a very intimidating reptilian creature.

However, its powerful tail is the primary weapon of choice to smash its enemies or create the spacing Nidoking needs to execute one of its devastating charges.

High grade specimens of this card can sell for around $1,500 or more.

What Are Pokmon Expansion And Booster Packs My Kid Is Asking For Them

An expansion is a new set of cards released within a certain generation or series. Each expansion release includes about 100-200 new cards. There is no way to purchase an entire expansion all at once. Instead, you purchase them in booster packs, which are sets of 10 cards that you can use to add to your current collectionusually these are themed within a specific expansion, meaning that the cards inside can be any of the cards that were released within that expansion set. Current expansions include Sword Shield Rebel Clash and Sword & Shield Darkness Ablaze. A new expansion, Sword & Shield Vivid Voltage is set to come out in November 2020. Older expansion packs that your kid might still be after include ones from previous generations like Sun & Moon, XY, Black & White, Diamond & Pearl or the EX series.

The History Of Pokmon Cards

The first Pokémon cards were issued in Japan in October 1996. In the United States a demo pack came out in 1998 and the first packs debuted in January 1999. Ever since then collectors of all ages have been captivated by the charismatic characters.

The cards that came out in 1999 are known as the Base set. Within the Base set, there are First Edition and Shadowless variations which are worth more. A First Edition card has a black circle on it indicating that it is First Edition. The difference between a shadowless and a base card is fairly easy to notice when looking at a card with a Pokémon on it. On the right side of an unlimited Pokémon, along the border of its frame, there is a darkened area. Shadowless cards do not have this darkened area. Additionally, shadowless cards have a thinner font on the HP in the upper right corner of the card. For trainer and energy cards, the trick is to look at the years on the bottom of the card . If the years 1995, 96, 98, 99 appear it is a shadowless card. The unlimited cards are missing the 99. In addition to the three versions of each card there are also three rarities. A circle indicates a common, a diamond indicates an uncommon, and a circle indicates a rare. Each pack contains one rare, and one out of three packs contains a rare holograph.

Since Pokémon first debuted there has been at least one expansion set every year. The current total is over 80. In total more than 30 billion Pokémon cards have been produced.
