Adding friends requires access to your Trainer Code, which can be found by accessing the Friends section of the character menu, then tapping Add Friend.

How Special Trades Work In Pokemon Go

When you gathered Stardust in excess, now follow the steps below to trade with the player:

Physical Availability

Both the Pokemon Go Special trade players should be present in the same area physically for trading. Either you are friends or not in the game.

Search the Desired Trainer

Then, search the Trainer Profile. Open the Map View of your screen. This profile is present on the left side of the bottom.

Now, you can check your friends list.

After that, click on the desired trainer whom you want to trade Pokemon with.

Then, click on the trading icon and open the trading screen.

Select the Pokemon for Trading

After joining the session, now you can select your favorite Pokemon for trading. You can also check the detail of that Pokemon before trading. If you found any issue in the CP, HP of your Pokemon, they will be set automatically when you trade it. Now click the trade, and that Pokemon will send to your trade partner.

What Has Pokmon Go Said About Trading Pokmon

If you’re near a friend and have a Trainer Level of 10 or higher, you can trade Pokémon you’ve caught with that friend. Completing a trade earns a bonus Candy for the Pokémon you’ve traded away, and that bonus can increase if the Pokémon you traded were caught in locations far apart from each other! All trades are powered by Stardust, and some trades require more Stardust than others. As you build your Friendship Level with the friend you are trading with, you’ll find that you can complete the trade with much less Stardust.

Certain Pokémon, such as a Legendary Pokémon, a Shiny Pokémon, or a Pokémon not currently in your Pokédex, require a Special Trade to complete, so keep that in mind before trading away that golden Magikarp! Select All The Pokemon You Want To Transfer In Your Pokemon List Inside Pokemon Go

Heres where things arent as straightforward as they should be, as to start transferring Pokemon from Pokemon Go to Lets Go, you need to go to your Pokemon list inside Pokemon Go. Youll now see a little Switch icon in the top right hand corner by the search icon. Hit that and itll turn red. Now, just select all the Pokemon you want to transfer to your Switch game, and then hit the big green button at the bottom that says Send to Nintendo Switch.;

Itll double check you actually want to send them, twice, and then youll see your little critters flying off to their new home within your Go Park. All you have to do on the Switch side is accept them.;

Although the transfer from Go to Let’s Go is one way, you do get a bonus in Go for doing it: a Mystery Box. About Pokemon Trading Cost

Its worth noting that different factors will influence the Pokemon Go trade cost. Your friendship level with the target trainer will be the biggest deciding factor for calculating the stardust cost. As your friendship level will increase, the Stardust cost will reduce simultaneously.

Heres a pokemon go trade chart of how much trading might cost you in Pokemon Go for different friendship levels.

As you can see that the Stardust cost significantly reduces when your friendship level reaches Ultra Friend or Best Friend. Apart from this, the Stardust cost also varies for Standard and Special trading. For the latter, youll have to spend comparatively more Stardust, especially if you dont own Shiny or Legendary Pokemon.

Pokmon That Cannot Be Traded

As of Generation VI, Pokémon with certain Gift Ribbons cannot be traded over the GTS or through Wonder Trade.

Additionally, some Pokémon’s alternate forms cannot be traded. Specifically, the Spiky-eared Pichu, Black and White Kyurem, the Cosplay Pikachu, Dawn Wings and Dusk Mane Necrozma, and Ice Rider and Shadow Rider Calyrex are all unable to be traded.

Special Trades And Limitations

• Pokémon not already in your Pokédex
• Legendary Pokémon
• Pokémon with forms not already in your Pokédex

• Trading is only available for Trainers that are Level 10 or above.
• Certain Pokémon cannot be traded. Mythical Pokémon and Pokémon that have previously been traded once before cannot be traded.

How To Actually Transfer Pokmon From Pokmon Go To Pokmon Home

Once youve linked your Nintendo account, you can head back into Settings at any time to access the Pokémon Home transfer system. In the Pokémon Home tab, click Send Pokémon to begin.

Before we go any further, Im going to remind you that any Pokémon you transport to Pokémon Home cannot come back! This is a one-way ticket, so dont transfer anything that you might regret.

Youll now see a screen with the Pokémon Home transporter on it, and a full energy bar . Click continue to be taken to your familiar Pokémon screen. However, there are a few Pokémon that you cant transfer:

• Spinda
• Shadow Pokémon
• Mega-Evolved Pokémon

Lucky and Purified Pokémon will lose their bonuses when transferred, and the following Pokémon will change forms:

• Origin Forme Giratina will become Altered Forme Giratina
• Sunshine Form Cherrim will become Overcast Form Cherrim
• Sunny Form, Rainy Form, and Snowy Form Castform will become Castform in its usual form

Otherwise, select the Pokémon you want to transfer up to a maximum of 27 at once, or until you run out of energy and click next. Youll see how much Go Transporter Energy this transfer will cost and be reminded of the Pokémon you selected. Click transport to complete the transfer.

Why You Can Only Trade Once In Pokmon Go

Currently, the game doesnt allow players to trade a Pokémon more than once, meaning that if a trainer has given away one of their Pokémon, they will not be able to get it back, nor could it then be traded to someone else. Effectively, even trade in Pokémon GO;is set in stone and cant be undone or reversed. While it might seem tempting to lend a friend a particularly powerful Pokémon to help them;take on a Pokémon GO;gym, it probably isnt worth it in the long run considering;its permanence.

There are a few other restrictions worth noting, such as the fact that only trainers above the level ten can trade at the moment, and a few Mythical Pokémon such as Mew cannot be used with the feature altogether. The one-time trade limit for each Pokémon is the most notable, though, and its important for every player to be aware of it before they commit to trading away some of their favorite Pokémon. While this may be disappointing to some, these restrictions likely exist to help keep the game balanced and fair, along with encouraging individual exploration and training among;Pokémon GO;players.

It’s not just a case of becoming Pokemon Go friends with someone though. There are actually levels of friendship within the game. You can increase you friendship level by trading together, battling in raids or Gym battles together, and also by exchanging gifts.;

Every time you visit a PokeStop you’ll be in with a chance of receiving a special Gift. You can’t do anything with them yourself, but you can send them to anyone on your friends list. These gifts contain useful items like potions and PokeBalls, and even a special yellow and pink egg that will eventually hatch into an Alolan form Pokemon. Magic. You can only send one gift a day to each friend, but doing so builds your trainer level.;

The good news is you only need to be Good Friends with someone to start trading with them , and you can get there by giving each other one gift.;

However, if you want to trade for Pokemon you haven’t already caught, you’ll have to upgrade your friendship level to at least Great Friends.;

Increasing your friend level with another player gets you a tonne of perks. When you’re Great Friends or above, you can battle at Gyms or in Raids together, gaining attack bonuses and Raid bonuses. Those perks only increase as your friendship level rises too, so get gifting.

Your Pokémon will know the moves it would ordinarily know at its level in Generation 8 the moves it has in Pokémon Go are irrelevant. However, your IVs will roughly match those of your Pokémon. Defense and Special Defense are taken from your Stamina statistic in Pokémon Go, Attack and Special Attack from your original Attack stat, and HP will roughly match HP. Speed is not a statistic in Pokémon Go, therefore this is entirely randomised.

Your Pokémon will also get a nature and ability, as these do not exist in Pokémon Go either.

Special Trading In Pokemon Go

Special trading is a set of Pokemon trading rules that apply when trading specific types of Pokemon. The following types of Pokemon are traded according to special rules:

• Legendary Pokemon;

In addition, the following types of Pokemon are also more expensive:

• Pokemon that are not yet in your Pokedex.
• Pokemon with shapes that are not yet in your Pokedex .

You can only perform one special trade per day. Special trade follows the same rules as regular trade – it only costs more.

Ivs Change When You Trade

Almost certainly to discourage cheaters, Pokémon traded in Go get a change to their IVs and stats. This prevents players from “selling” 100% IV Pokémon, while the limits on Trading prevent players from constantly “rerolling” for better IVs.

However, the higher your Friendship level, the higher potential IV you can get from a Trade. This, along with the reduced Stardust cost encourages Trading between actual friends.
