Cliff has a new team for December 2021 in Pokémon Go. Once trainers earn enough Rocket Radar pieces, they are able to face off against one of three possible Team Rocket Admins. Arlo, Cliff, and Sierra are much more capable trainers when compared to their grunt counterparts. In order to defeat them, trainers will need to prepare a team that can directly counter their Pokémon. With over 18 different typings in the game, it will be difficult to know exactly what Cliff has in store. Fortunately, if the player loses, that can immediately rematch Cliff to a battle with a brand-new team.
Activating the Rocket Radar item in Pokémon Go will locate a Team Rocket admin that is in a nearby Pokéstop. They also have the chance to appear within the Team Rocket balloons. Although, the admin that will appear is completely random. Trainers looking to battle Cliff specifically will need to keep looking until he shows up at a PokéStop. After finding Cliff, it’s time to counter his team.

The Best Counters Against The Team Go Rocket Leaders For March 2021
Were heading into March 2021 off the tail end of some of the biggest events in Pokémon GO history. But Niantic isnt taking a break any time soon, so its not just time to refresh our list of Team GO Rocket Leader counters, it looks like theyll have entire new teams to contend with. And tied to beating them will be a new Special Research quest with Giovanni and a Shadow Legendary Pokémon as the reward. Well break all of that down, but the big question right now is how to beat Arlo, Cliff, and Sierra in Pokémon GO for March 2021 .
How Do I Challenge The Leaders Of Team Go Rocket
While Team GO Rocket Grunts have been taking over PokéStops since July 2019, beginning in November 2019, their leaders have joined the fight. By fighting six Grunts, you can collect Mysterious components, which can, in turn, be used to create a Rocket Radar. Once in possession of a Rocket Radar, you can track down Team GO Rocket Hideouts, and challenge one of three Team GO Rocket Executives.
These Executives are much stronger than the Grunts and actually know how to use their Shields, so prepare for a tough battle and prioritize burning through their shields early. Each of the three executives will reward you with their first Shadow Pokémon, which has the potential to be Shiny, and a Strange Egg, if you have room in your bag.
Additionally, if you defeat all three Team GO Rocket Executives, you can be rewarded with a Super Rocket Radar once per month that will lead you to the Boss of Team GO Rocket: Giovanni! Sierra Pokemon Go Counters
With Giovannis return during Novembers Festival of Lights event, all of the Leaders received a brand new lineup, including Team Go Rockets Sierra, who uses a range of powerful Shadow Pokemon in a three-stage battle. In December, this lineup remains the same.
At the start of every match, Sierra will always send out Nidoran, followed by two of six other potential Pokemon. While Sierras lineup changes over time, these are the Pokemon she can use in December:
- Phase 1: Nidoran
- Phase 2: Beedrill / Vileplume / Slowbro
- Phase 3: Houndoom / Marowak / Nidoqueen
Best Gliscor Counters In Pokemon Go
Go for any powerful Pokemon with Ice and Water moves and you should be fine with taking Gliscor out of the fight. Team GO Rocket have made their way back into the game, and our favorite enemies are starting to appear again. Yes, thats right, the Team Go Rocket Leaders SIerra, Arlo, and Cliff are back in Pokemon Go, with new Shadow Pokemon lineups and stronger than ever.
One of the Team Go Rocket Leaders is Sierra. You might think that beating Sierra and her Shadow Pokemon is an easy task, but she is far from easy to beat. It turns out the Sierra is one of the most challenging Team Go Rocket Leaders, and to beat her, you must use the best Pokemon counters and the right movesets.
To make it easier for you, we have prepared a list of Sierras line-up, which Pokemon you should choose, and moves, and we hope that it will be easier for you to win this battle.
Jesse James And Meowth Have Blasted Off Again
Jesse and James are no longer available to challenge, but they are sure to return at some point in the future. Their previous line ups weren’t particularly difficult to beat, especially since neither used their shields.
Previously, Jesse’s lineup included:
- Scyther: a Bug and Flying type, Scyther has several weaknesses, including Fire, Flying, Electric, and Ice, but it’s quad weakness to Rock is the one you’ll want to exploit. Aggron, Rampardos, Rhyperior, Golem, Terrakion, or Tyranitar all work really well here.
- Ekans: a Poison type, Ekans is weak against Ground and Psychic types. However, Ekans is pretty weak. Mewtwo, Alakazm, or Gardevoir could all work well here. Alternatively, you could put in Metagross or whatever Pokémon you plan to use against Stantler, in order to build up their charged attack.
- Stantler: as a Normal type, Stantler’s only weakness is Fighting types. However, because of its potential moveset, Steel and Rock types are your best bet here. Metagross, Regirock, Jirachi, or Cobalion are all great choices here.
After beating Jesse, James’ lineup included:
Upon beating Jesse, you could catch a Shadow Scyther with the potential to be Shiny, and upon beating James, you could catch a Shadow Pinsir with the potential to be Shiny.

These Are The Sierra Pokmon Go Rewards
Taking down a Team Rocket leader is hard work, which is why players will also be rewarded a bit extra for doing so. First of all, defeating Sierra or any other Team Rocket leader will give 1,000 Stardust to help power up Pokémon even stronger.
Furthermore, theres a chance for players to get 12 km eggs, potions, max revives, or even stones to evolve certain Pokémon. Defeating Sierra will also give an encounter with one of her shadow Pokémon.

How To Find Sierra
According to a new blog post from Niantic, Team GO Rocket Grunts may now drop Mysterious Components when defeated. Assemble six of those to make Rocket Radars that can be used to sniff out the Team GO Rocket Leaders and battle them. Once you craft one, you can equip or unequip it from your bag. Tap the Rocket Radar button below the compass to activate the Rocket Radar. Using the Rocket Radar reveals all the Leader Hideouts in range, according to Niantics support website. They resemble regular PokeStops until you get within range of them, at which point the Team GO Rocket Leader will appear next to the PokeStop. Be careful as Leaders are more powerful than the average Grunt. If you lose a battle against the Leader, you can challenge them again until the Leader Hideout disappears from the map. Once you defeat them, the Rocket Radar breaks.
Even though players with Rocket Radars are the only ones able to detect hideouts for the leaders, they can still collaborate since hideouts appear to players in the same places, according to the blog post. After you create your first Rocket Radar, the items will then be available to purchase from the in-game shop with PokeCoins, according to Niantics support website. Only players level eight and above can get Mysterious Components and take on the Leaders, according to the website.
According to Pokemon Go Hub, bosses are only available from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.
How To Beat Sierra: Get The Rocket Radar
To challenge the rocket boss, you need a rocket radar. You get this when you have collected a total of 6 mysterious components. You can then combine these to form a radar and search for Sierra.
Since the change in October, Sierra has been fighting with completely different Pokémon.
How to beat Sierra: The best counterattacks
Which Pokémon does Sierra use? The rocket boss fights with 7 different monsters. Your team looks like this:
- First Pokémon: Traumato
- Second Pokémon: Kokowei, Tohaido or Lapras
- Third Pokémon: Tengulist, Hundemon or Simsala
So Sierra always sends Tramato into battle as the first Pokémon. With a bit of luck you can catch this as Shiny after the fight.
The best counterattacks against trauma: The types beetle, ghost and dark are effective against this. Good attackers are:
- Despotar with a bite and a grinder
- Scherox with anger blade and cross scissors
- Genesect with anger blade and cross scissors
We particularly recommend a Beetle Pokémon here. You can use this again in the course of the fight, as it is also useful against Tengulist or Kokowei. In addition, Scherox or Genesect have fast loading attacks that destroy the shields directly.
The best counterattacks against Lapras: The Pokémon is susceptible to the types of combat, electro, plant and rock. The best attackers are:
- Melmetal with shock of thunder and hail of stones
- Machomy with counterattack and powerful blow
- Lucario with counterattack and staggering stroke

How Do I Battle Sierra In Pokmon Go
To receive the honour of battling Sierra, you’ll first need to defeat six Team Rocket Grunts. Each one will grant you a Mysterious Component. Combine these to build a Rocket Radar and you’ll be able to use it find the location of a Rocket Leader.
However, battling a Rocket Leader is a different story to taking on their lowly Grunts. Leaders use strong, high-level monsters. Sierra counters are necessary to get the win, and they shift when her team changes, making it a constant struggle.
Her monsters are also high CP, likely much higher than any of your Pokémon. Using super-effective moves is a great strategy to best her, but bringing bulky Pokémon can often be an even better idea.
