How To Get Shiny Moltres

How To Catch Moltres in Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu & Eevee

You can actually capture a shiny Moltres if you want, though, it will take immense time and patience. Don’t worry if the Moltres doesn’t appear shiny before you approach it as the game doesn’t determine if it’s shiny or not until you activate the initial cutscene.

So, you can simply save before approaching it and “soft reset” until you get the shiny Moltres. All you have to do for this is save before approaching, watch the initial cutscene, and see if it is shiny or not in battle. If it isn’t, all you need to do is head to the home screen on your Switch and close out of Pokemon Let’s Go.

Reopen the game, reload your save, and retry again and again until you finally get the chance to capture a shiny Moltres. Good luck!

Route 23 After Victory Road

There will be a small stretch of Route 23 just before hitting the Pokémon League. As you approach, you and your partner gaze up at the spectacle together, ready to take on this greatest challenge. You can give your partner some words of encouragement, and then the two of you head up to the Pokémon League together.

At this point youre free to take on the Elite Four if you wish, but wed rather round out our Legendary Bird Trio before we finish the game. So lets head over to the Power Plant first.

How To Find Moltres In Pokmon Go

There are a wide array of different Pokemon to catch in Pokemon Go as the game continues to update. This guide shows players how to catch Moltres.

There are always new Pokemon to catch in Pokemon Go. With every new update and event in the game, Niantic manages to add more and more pocket monsters from the popular game series. This is no small feat considering that there are now almost 900 Pokemon spanning eight different generations. It is a tough job, but Pokemon Go has managed to make it work for years now.

Like all Pokemon games though, the most fun to catch in Pokemon Go are the legendary Pokemon. These are never in the game for very long, but are a great challenge for players to check out while playing. The first generation fire-type Moltres has been added back into the game recently as a raid battle for players to go up against. Those who manage to survive it have a chance to snatch this legendary Pokemon up. This guide shows players how to find and catch Moltres.

Before Catching Moltres You Need To

Have all the eight badges from all the gyms in the Kanto region. This is a must because the route we catch Moltres is inside the Victory Road in Kanto.

And to get access to Victory road, you need to have eight badges or win in every Gym in Kanto. This is easier said than done, so if you dont have all the badges required, go and get them first, then move on to the next section of the blog.

Where to find the Power Plant

Zapdos is the legendary bird for the electric-type, and thus it finds its home in a most appropriate location: the power plant. To get to the power plant you’ll need the Sea Skim secret technique, and once you’ve got it you’ll need to head to Route 10. Getting out onto the water there near the entrance to the Rock Tunnel will lead you to the entrance to the power plant.

The power plant is quite a bit easier in this version of the Kanto story thanks to the lack of random encounters – you simply need to work your way through its winding design in the same way you would Mt. Moon, Team Rocket’s Lair or any other ‘dungeon’ style area in the game. It’s of course home to a wide range of electric Pokemon beyond Zapdos, so bring plenty of catching equipment with you.

Zapdos is a mix of flying-type and electric-type. When all is said and done that makes it weak to Rock-type attacks and Pokemon and Ice-type attacks and Pokemon. Generally, Rock-type is the one you’re going to have the easiest access to. Consider taking along a Graveler or Golem or an Onix with high stats. While Zapdos is powerful in the battle, a good rock-type will nullify its electrical moves and dull its flying-type attacks.

The Zapdos will be level 50 when you finally catch it.

Pokemon Go Moltres Moveset

Moltres has two different potential fast moves and four charged moves, most of which are Fire-type, with one Flying and one Rock-type move thrown into the mix. This is a great sign for the Rock-type counters above, because they resist both Fire and Flying-type moves, so all the counters should be safe and sound from taking too much damage.

Catching A 2nd Articuno In The Wild

As with Zapdos, you’ll be able to find a second legendary Articuno in the wild once you’ve caught the first – and if you’re really lucky, even more than two! Once again, it manifests in the wild as a rare Pokemon spawn with some painfully low spawning rates.

After you’ve raided Seafoam Islands, Articuno can be a rare spawn on Routes 1-4, 6-8, 10-19 and 21-25. You’ll need to be flying on a Pokemon of your own for a chance of catching up with it.

How To Get Moltres In Pokemon Lets Go

To find Moltres, youll firstly need to make it to the cave on Victory Road. However to even think about making it to Victory Road in the first place, youll need to defeat all eight Gym Leaders in the game, including the likes of Brock, Misty, Sabrina, Blaine, and more.

Once at Victory Road, youll eventually find yourself in the cave. Youll eventually come to Officer Jenny, who you can see below, thatll heal your Pokemon up instantly.

You need to use the Strong Push technique on the stone pillar to the left of Officer Jenny. Doing this will let you access the ladder just above you that leads down to the next level of the caverns.

Simply head to the right once youve taken this ladder leading downwards, and youll be able to find Moltres. As usual with all legendary Pokemon in Pokemon Lets Go Pikachu and Eevee, youll have 5 minutes maximum to take down Moltres in combat. Wed recommend using Electric, or Water-type Pokemon for taking down Moltres as quickly as possible.

Once Moltres has been defeated in combat, youve got all the time in the world to capture it using a Poke Ball. Note that legendary Pokemon are always the most difficult to contain, so youll want to use the highest level ball possible, like a Great, Ultra, or Premier Ball .

Cmo Llegar A La Calle Victoria Y Atrapar A Moltres

How to Catch Articuno, Zapdos, & Moltres in Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu & Eevee

What To Do If The Legendary Birds Escape

If your team is not up to the challenge or you run out of time before you defeat one of the birds, they will flee from battle and you will not be able to catch them.

But if you beat the Elite Four and become the new Pokemon Champion, the escaped bird will respond in its old location, giving you more chance to catch it.

As a bonus, once you defeat the Elite Four there is a slight chance of the three legendaries, albeit much weaker, spawning in the wild.

How To Get Mew In Pokemon Let’s Go

There’s no secondary spawn for Mewtwo, but it is worth keeping in mind that the Pokemon that it’s cloned from, Mew, is available to players in a far easier way. Mew is included with every purchase of the Poke Ball Plus as a sort of bonus for players who go all-in on their Pokemon Let’s Go Experience.

Mew arrives at a low level and isn’t massively powerful, but as a pure psychic type it’s a type you don’t encounter often until later on in the game, so it’s a very useful bonus indeed.

Where to find the Seafoam Islands

Articuno likewise has a fitting location for its ice-type legendary Pokemon origins its found out in the seas, specifically on the Seafoam Islands to the east of Cinnabar Island, one of the major cities in the game. The Seafoam Islands are easy enough to reach, but once you get there youll find your path forward obscured by some basic puzzles.

Youll need the Strong Push secret technique to solve these puzzles essentially you have to push some big stone blocks into holes in order to clog up the river and slow its flow so you can get to new areas and its in these areas where youll find Articuno. Its all quite simple, really, and youll find some decent Pokemon along the way like Jynx, Slowpoke, Slowbro, Seel and Dewgong plus a chance to catch a Squirtle if youre lucky.

When the time comes to fight Articuno, keep in mind its mixed ice-type and flying-type status. That makes it weak to Electric, Rock, Fire and Steel attacks. Dont be tempted to deploy Zapdos here if you already picked it up its weak to Ice, remember. Your best bet are water-type Pokemon, since thatll resist Articunos devastating ice attacks.

When you catch Articuno, itll be at level 50.

Pokmon Let’s Go: How To Find Moltres In Victory Road

Like Articuno at Seafoam Islands, finding and catching Moltres requires you to take a detour from the main path to the exit.

Unlike Seafoam Islands however, this detour is nice and simple. Just head up to the top left of 3F where you find the Police Officer that heals your team. Heal up, then drop down the ladder in the top left there to the walled-off section in the top-left of 2F.

Head to the right and Moltres is just up ahead. Once again you’ll need to battle and defeat it before catching, and once again it’s a fairly tricky one to catch!

With Moltres caught, follow our instructions above to get to the exit, and once you’ve gathered any items, Pokémon, or trainer battle victories that you fancy along the way, you’re all done.

Outside, your next stop is the big one: the Elite Four, Indigo Plateau and Pokémon League. It’s the final showdown to become Pokémon Champion, so head there for more, or once again cycle back to our main Pokémon Let’s Go walkthrough and guide hub for all the other pages we have like this.

How to Catch ARTICUNO, ZAPDOS & MOLTRES In the WILD! Pokemon Let’s Go P/E Guide!
    • It’s a good idea to save before going into a battle. If you fail to catch one of the Legendary Birds on your first attempt, you’ll need to wait until you’ve defeated the Elite Four to try again.
    • The catch rate of the Legendary Birds is quite high, so a few Ultra Balls should be plenty. A Master Ball is the easiest way to catch Mewtwo, but is not required. Keep in mind that you can obtain multiple Master Balls.
    • All legendary encounters in this game can be shiny, but you won’t be able to tell until the battle has begun. Unlike other Pokemon in these games, there is no overworld indication that a Legendary Pokemon is shiny.
