Field research tasks are essentially a list of quests given to you when you spin a Pokestop, like, “Use 5 Berries to help catch Pokemon,” or, “Catch 10 Pokemon with Weather Boost.” Completing them successfully gives you various bonuses including Stardust, items, and encounters with rare Pokemon like Jynx.There are currently three kinds of tasks:

• Field Research: These are basic goals with a single objective. You get one of these a day and they’re usually something simple like spinning a Pokestop.

• Special Research: These tasks are more story-based and give you multiple goals that require several steps to complete, like catching and transferring a Pokemon.

• Research Breakthrough: These tasks are based on collecting stamps and give you rewards like Stardust, items, and rare Pokemon encounters.

• You can only have up to three tasks at a time, but don’t worry, you can trash a task if you think you can’t complete it successfully. Clearing a task allows you to pick up a new one.

How To Use The Kings Rock In Pokemon Go

Now heres where the choices come in. Kings Rock can be used in two different ways, which means you might already have the candies you need for at least one Pokemon evolution.;

Kings Rock can not only evolve Poliwhirl into the froglike Politoed, it also turns Slowpoke into Slow King. As ever youre going to need serious candies for both Pokemon.

– Poliwhirl evolves into Politoed with Kings Rock and 100 Poliwag candy

– Slowpoke evolves into Slow King with Kings Rock and 50 Slowpoke candy

Explorers Of Time And Darkness Explorers Of Sky

Luminous Spring

In Explorers of Time and Darkness, and Explorers of Sky, the players team must graduate from Wigglytuffs Guild to gain access to Luminous Spring, the only place in the game where the player can evolve a Pokémon. However, the player character and partner cannot evolve until they defeat Palkia and Manaphy returns.

Where To Find A Moon Stone In Pokemon Lets Go

There are four Pokemon that evolve using a Moon Stone, including:

• Nidorino to Nidoking
• Jigglypuff to Wigglytuff
• Clefairy to Clefable

You can find Moon Stones quite easily in Mt. Moon early on in the game as hidden items. They appear in the craters that you see on the ground inside of the dungeon and respawn every 24 hours.

You can tell when you get near to the stones because your partner Pokemons tail starts to wag really quickly.

If youre later on in the game, you can find an additional Moon Stone as a hidden item in the Copycats house, next to her Clefairy dolls.

Pokemon Go: How To Get A Kings Rock

There are a few ways to get a Kings Rock, but none are guaranteed.

That means youll want to complete as many of these tasks as possible especially since you can only use it once.

Field Research

Arguably the easiest method of earning a Kings Rock, youll want to spin Pokestops wherever possible.

Each offers a 1% chance of an evolution item, including a Kings Rock.

Youll up your chances by spinning Pokestops for seven days in a row, too!

Go Battle League Reward

Speaking of PvP, try competing in the Go Battle League for a chance to earn a Kings Rock as a mystery item.

When Defending A Gym Get Free Stuff

Now that you’ve got a Pokemon defending a gym, go to the in-game Shop, tap the Shield icon and get free Coins and Stardust. Coins are in-game currency that you can use to buy items like Pokeballs, Potions, and even bigger item bags. You can also buy coins with real-world money! What, did you think there were no micro-transactions in innocent little Pokémon Go? Of course, the only real way to play for free is to acquire Coins by assigning a Pokemon to defend a gym. Pressing the Shield will get you 10 coins and 500 Stardust per each Pokemon of yours defending that gym. However, you need to wait 21 hours before you can tap the Shield again! So be sure to defend the gym, or place Pokemon in multiple gyms! Ah, don’t you love Energy mechanics in mobile games?

Go for walks! No, really, now that you have a designated Buddy you should go on strolls. Similar to egg-hatching, you can gain Candy for your buddy the more kilometers you rack up. Interestingly, different Pokemon require you walk different distances. For example, you need to walk 3 kilometers before you get a Candy for Slowpoke. You only get one candy after walking that specific distance, though.You can find out more about your Buddy’s progress by tapping the Trainer profile icon, then tapping the top of the screen, where your Trainer and Buddy are hanging out. At the top of the screen you’ll see the total distance traveled. In the middle, you’ll see your Buddy . At the bottom, there’s a gauge that shows how far you still need to walk for a Candy.

How Iv Affects Max Cp

Lets say I have two Snorlaxes and I am a level 40 player . Both are currently at 2500 CP, but:

• one has 100% IVs and Max CP of 3355
• the other has 0% IVs and Max CP of 2926

If I chose to power up the 100% IV Snorlax to its max CP, I would need to power it up all the way to 3355 CP, which is the max CP Snorlax can have . However, if I were to power up the 0% IV Snorlax, it would only go to 2926 CP which is the max it can have with 0% IVs.

When it comes to a Snorlax, you can expect there is approximately;a 400 CP difference between 100% IVs and 0, but lets not forget that;Snorlax is one of the highest CPs in the game: this 400 CP difference is around the maximum difference between highest and lowest CP of any given Pokemon.

This really isnt a huge difference.;If you have a Pokemon that is in the highest or second highest IV tier, it really is not;that far away from perfect Max CP. So evolving a Pokemon with IVs in the first or second tier is a good idea, you dont need to wait for the perfect IVs.

Never power up a Pokémon;before evolving it! If you get a bad moveset, its CP value doesnt really matter and you probably dont want to power up it!

What Does The Upgrade Do In Pokmon Go

Upgrade is an evolutionary item that is needed to evolve Porygon into Porygon2. You need the Upgrade and 25 Candy to get Porygon2. The same Mega Battle Challenge quest will get you a Sinnoh Stone, which will once again be necessary to evolve Porygon2 into Porygon-Z. You’ll need that Sinnoh Stone and 100 Candy for the final form.

Why did we get an item for Porygon in a quest about Mega Beedrill? Porygon will be Pokémon. Community Day Porygon will be September 20, and you’ll have plenty of chances to find Porygon and even Shiny Porygon to use your Upgrade on.

Evolving Porygon2 into Porygon-Z during the event will let it learn the new to Pokémon GO Tri Attack. You’ll want the Upgrade and Sinnoh Stone ready to evolve Porygon on Community Day.

Pokemon Go Players Can Get The Upgrade Item By Completing The Current Ultra Unlock Timed Research Tasks

The good news for Pokemon GO trainers that are desperate to get an Upgrade is that the item is currently a reward for completing one of the Ultra Unlock Timed Research tasks.

Not surprisingly, the task that needs to be completed in order to receive the Upgrade item is to catch seven Porygon. There’s really no need for players to be daunted by this task, because during the special Ultra Unlock event, Porygon will be spawning more frequently in the wild.

From July 23rd till August 6th, Porygon will pop up more often on players’ screens. However, the Timed Research task needs to be completed by August 3rd at 8:00 p.m. local time in order to receive the Upgrade item.

The only other way, apart from completing this limited time task, to get an Upgrade in Pokemon GO is to luck out and obtain it from spinning a Gym or Pokestop. This method is not very reliable, as the odds of receiving an evolution item like the Upgrade is around 1%.

Once a Pokemon GO player gets an Upgrade item, they will just need fifty Porygon species candy to evolve the Pocket Monster into Porygon2. Trainers’ best bet is to complete the Ultra Unlock Timed Research task that rewards them with an Upgrade before the task expires on August 3rd.
